My writing time is at a premium these days but this discussion from the past few days has convinced me I -must- reread Parts 1 and 2 right now (the code, not the commercial version) because there are now a million things I have to write down, and with CCH 2.5 spanning both fall and spring, I need to make sure I don’t write anything that creates ripples in the spacetime continuum.
My character’s heart would break if Dean Tolly died or got hurt because she’s so inspiring making a program for the less powerful zeniths to become heroes and just fighting to keep the program going and to protect us from threats like the wyvern or the diabolical dozen. Dean Tolly is like a second mom to my MC.
@TechNote The stakes are too high for people not to die at the moment. I’m sure that at least 3 main characters will be dead by the end of the game. My bets are that Megacat and the Salazars die, ushering a new establishment of superheroes (cough Speck 7 cough) and Downfall goes down with then, possibly taking out one of the Dozen.
What I still don’t know is how we will deal with the Dozen? Will they be completely eliminated by the end? Will they survive? Will we be the cause of their fall or will we just be a small piece in the grand game overall?
@rinzygreye I feel more confident now that we got a way to nullify their powers as a Zenith. But as I said above, I’m certain the traitor is Crook. He is the shadiest of our group and already got connections to the Dozen as he is (potentially) your father’s murderer.
@technote “The fire slinging sociopath” is Lady Ash, “The ninja preparing to decapitated me” is Shizukani and “The ham-fisted powerhouse” is probably Low Life like you said as he is a gorilla.
Also, if we reach Grade 9, that means we are more powerful than Primal, the Hedonist, Captain California, Flok, and Low Life which are regional threats; and on par with Streetsmart, Downfall, Manipulator, Monstrosity X, and Shizukani which are national threats.
Booksmart, Mega Cat, Lady Ash are grade 10 global threats and while Blue Morpho is technically the same, they belong on a grade of their own.
honestly imagine if DG was the traitor and that’s the reason why Eric Moser didn’t put her on the poll? i mean apart from Crook, I could see DG and Tress being traitors also
@Novachrome At least for me, he is the most likely one, judging by his background and morals.
Mob/Synergy? Unlikely as he is a pacifist and rather dumb if I’m being honest.
Dirty Girl? Also unlikely, she is also a little sketchy and a slacker, but I don’t see as betraying the group.
Stoic? She is barely a willing member, let alone going out of her way to betray us.
Stunner? Don’t think so. He seems honest.
The only ones who have motivations are Crook, or possibly Tress with her jealousy of us. But Tress sending us to our death? Maybe, but would she go that far because of envy?
Crook is the only one who demonstrated he doesn’t have a moral compass trying to be judge, jury and executioner.
Unless it’s someone not from the Speck 7. Nill or Quickie are also possibilities.
I can see it being DG. I can imagine her powers being drug induced and that’s why she does drugs and stuff. And they are gonna blackmail her or something
honestly blackmail would be a viable answer to her being a traitor, not to mention that maybe she was a dozen spy to begin with. I mean in CCH1 it was DG that initiated the revealing of everyone in the Speck 7/rookies/knights of Nebraska secret identities, it might have been wholesome and sweet but what if it was for another reason? might be a far stretch but until CCH3 is done, a majority of everyone in the series is subject to be the traitor.
