Community College Hero 3: All Things End (Poll on Post #1248 re: romantic short stories)

I promise I’m reading comments! I’m just hunkering down trying to write 3k-4k words a day on any time where I have big writing windows (like today!)

And my takeaway from the poll…I definnnnnnitely should not kill off MC’s mom, or Stoic, or put MC in the position where they can only save one of them! Definitely not!

Just pray that @Eric_Moser won’t be in a bad mood when he writes those scenes, so he won’t kill anyone… (Hehe :kissing_cat::smirk_cat::smile_cat: greatest and most powerful superpower, a writer’s CRAZY imagination. )

i swear to god if you do this i will love and hate you, so you should definitely not do that

First, let me say how talented Mr. Moser is. His IF books are well written and captivating. Congrats on being this talented and I hope you continue writing more after the series ends. Now, some of my takeaways from the books.

I’m 99% certain that Tolly is Megacat, Crook is Origami’s father and one of the Afterthoughts/Crook is the traitor. Why I think that?

  1. Tolly is Megacat: The cat puns at the introduction; the fact that the Dean of a shitty college in the middle of Nebraska not only got a meeting with Megacat, but that meeting was 1 on 1 with neither Downfall, Trendsetter not any of the visiting delegation in the room; the fact that Prestige, the Avengers of CCH, offered a partnership to said shitty school in Nebraska and Tolly accepted in a heartbeat and more incriminating, the fact that she rejects the deal with Blue Morpho in “all possible timelines”, which corroborates Megacat’s personality as someone who nevers deals with the Dozen, as opposed to someone more pragmatic like Savior.

  2. Now, working on that assumption, it makes sense that Nill was there not to divide the students, but to spy on the Hedonist and root out possible Savior spies. The fight with Hedonist makes even more sense working on that assumption. What breaks my theory is that, why would Tolly/Megacat be angry with Downfall’s tactics if she was doing the same on Prestige? Perhaps the incident forced her hand and would blow her cover?

  3. Crook is Origami’s father. I understand that he sees in Origami his own daughter, but the way he collapsed implied there was something more. Even the MC, who depending on your path, considered her like a little sister, didn’t seem as affected by her death as Crook who, as far as we know, had little relationship with her. It was also implied he was on school for other reasons, perhaps to watch over his daughter?

  4. Crook/The Afterthoughts is the traitor. It makes sense that one of the Afterthoughts, specially Quickie, would be willing to betray the Speck 7 for jealousy or a promise of greater power by someone like the Dozen, specially if the MC was dismissive/arrogant with them. But what catches my attention is that the Dozen can also navigate the Zone. Now, what if the Dozen promised Crook to somehow rescue Origami/his daughter from the Zone? Would a desperate father betray his friends to save his daughter? That’s very plausible.
Crook is sketchy as fuck and very likely is your father’s murderer employed by the Dozen, which means he already has a connection to them, making further deals with them not only possible, but very likely as he has flexible morals. God, I hate Crook so much.

Now, what is more interesting to me is, how do you even fight Blue Morpho? In the meeting, BM seemed to be in the past, present and the future at the same time. How do you fight someone who already fought you, but is fighting you right now, but never fought you at all to begin with. I hope our MC has a chance to fight them.

And about the Grade 9 thing, would that mean we are striking out on our own and leaving the Speck 7? Or we stay in the group?

@thestrangemonkey the only issue i find with your theory about Tolly being MegaCat is if the MC got teachers pet with Nill in CCH2 he warns you about Tolly, why would Nill warn you about Tolly if shes infact MegaCat? It wouldnt make sense, unless of course if Nill had ulterior motives.

@technote I had forgotten about that, good catch. Perhaps Nill has an agenda of his own or is a double agent? Working for Prestige and collecting information? What if Nill is a Dozen spy, sowing chaos to make an attack by them more effective? Sounds corny, but it’s possible. Perhaps even a Savior agent, who knows. Thoughts?

Friendzone would be the perfect counter to Monster X. I still hope she plays a part in the final battle.

Actually Nill working with the Dozen seems like a plausible theory, would explain how the Dozen know the MC’s real name and possibly everyone else’s secret identity but I just have the feeling that Nill has ulterior motives separate from the Dozen or even Prestige

@technote Another one who was shady as fuck was Captain California. The surfer persona doesn’t fool me. In fact, all Savior guys are shady or sketchy. Hedonist, Cali, the Salazar twins. It’s not like Prestige School for Sociopaths™ is any better, they have their own dubious staff, but Savior people seem like they are always plotting something behind their fake smiles. I wouldn’t doubt if their professors were implanted with “loyalty chips” or whatever the hell they were trying to put in your head in Issue 9.

I am in 100% with almost all of these theories (I don’t want to believe the worst about my drinking buddy/honkytonk honcho Crook). If your theory is true, I think it leads to other possibilities:

Crook got a girl pregnant while he was at a fairly young age. As a confused teenager with strong Zenith potential (and just a bit of desperation), the Diabolical Dozen saw an opportunity. They came to him with a proposal: murder some dude in prison and the Dozen would protect him and his daughter. When the manipulator killed Origami, she compromised the deal; that’s why Crook the traitor attacked one of the Dozen. That’s also why the Dozen exiled manipulator from the group. Burning your assets isn’t really good for business, after all.

@UrbanGhost That’s a good theory. I really hate Crook. As I said, there’s sketchy and then there’s Crook. Guy is a deadbeat father who abandons his wife and daughter (or not, if you believe the theory) to join a school with people 10 years his junior, hits on my MC’s RO shamelessly in his face while being married, potentially murdered your father and not only that, but very likely is the traitor who sells you out to the Dozen. My apologies to Crook’s fans but come on guys.

He should find a real job and help his family instead of playing edgy Batman.

Pardon my edits, my keyboard is crazy today.

I think the Savoir people were intentionally sketchy people to begin with cause they had a goal in mind, starting with how California was introduced and the arguement Hedonist and Nill had but the people in Prestige are still a mystery so far except for Nill(who I still think he’s playing Prestige to get knowledge for some unknown reason) and Downfall (who is a literal sadists) I’m sure in CCH3 well see some of the teachers in Prestige being as shady as the teachers from Savior, but right now Prestige doesnt have a clear cut goal like how Savior had

Wait, so is Dr. Hover potentially able to manipulate gravity? I really hope so, he seems like a pretty nice guy and I’d like him in the team.

Also, what if we thought Dean Tolly was Mega Cat but it was actually Nill all along!

@TechNote I hope we see a cameo of Cali, he was sketchy but was more likeable than Hedo for me. The whole sex for grades was weird and potentially illegal. Who needs the Dozen when you have a sexual predator as your “hero”. Speaks a lot about Mr. Moser quality as a writer when we can hate his characters and discuss about their behaviors.

I’m sure the violence and strictness of Prestige will be touched upon. Who knows, maybe we can become a whistleblower to Dick Rycliffe. I do wonder why he was so hostile to us. I thought he was going to be the Wyvern all along.

@SaltyWizard That would be a mindfuck. We’ll have to see if they are in the same place at the same time.

Damn you just reminded me of Dick Rycliffe, I actually think he was working with the Manipulator(not the Dozen)

@technote Everyone is a suspect. People are saying your mom (not yours, the mc’s) and even Jacob are a member of the Dozen. I’m not kidding. Who knows anymore.

Let me also put an idea to Mr. Moser that if Origami comes back from the Zone, she doesn’t come unscathed. Would add some weight about whether or not to kill the Manipulator. Like Origami returns, but it’s not really Origami you know? Just a hollow husk.

Honestly though anyone in the series could be working for the Dozen and that’s what makes this series so good, the fact that were literally having to solve the puzzle Mr.Moser gives us. Like I bet you anything that 2.5 is going to give us even more info for our theories even if it’s supposed to be a lighter tone

And I agree with you on that, I think something should change with Origami if she does come back, hell she would have been stuck in the Zone for a long time, even California/Hedonist (forgot which one it was) said that exposure to the Zone/traveling the Zone is dangerous without practice or with what info the demo for CCH3 told us, theres no way she comes back scott free and without any repercussions for being in the Zone

Lol if @Eric_Moser wants, anyone CAN be a traitor… Even if Eric has a full script/base story/all possible timelines written and ready to use, hd can change anything according to his will…
That’s why I said that

Anyone seriously investigated the path where MC haven’t revealed their identity when the gang asked?!?

"Tell us everything! I mean, how did it happen? How did you get like this? Synergy asks. “I mean, you can tell us, right?”

Put a double quote after the bolded word.
