Does anyone else here listen to music while reading CCH?
Cause whenever I read it I’m always blasting the RWBY OST it just always gets me in the mood.
Jeff William’s is the man

Earlier today I was listening to 90s hip hop and thinking back to the party in CCH2. :’)

@Eric_Moser I know it’s early days, but my appetite for CCH news is voracious! How much does the outcome of the Wyvern fight impact CCH 3? I definitely get that not everything can be given focus in CCH, but having actual consequences from that fight was one of my favorite elements of CCH 2.

Aww your puppy is adorable  my dashound died a couple of weeks ago at 12 years old. I want the finale game to come out soon. I hate cliffhangers lol. What I do with seasons I wait for the show to be complete then watch or read the whole thing. So far I usually do the acrobat and soldier types.
P.s I wanted to point out I think you always had in the PC avatar to have that special nullifier power. There are little clues pointing to it. Such as resisting or being aware of the hedonist and Salazar and friendzone.

I do! I’ve got a whole playlist set up for whenever I’m reading CCH. Makes some of the scenes in the story twice as amazing

@Eric_Moser I hope you’re still keeping the “traitor” idea in the story that was hinted at in beginning of the first series, I’ve still been scratching my head at who the traitor might be from the list of characters we know

Like obviously everyone would say it’s the Manipulator and I’m sure she’s going to betray us, specially for those of us who ran the tactician route, but I feel as though someone from the main grouping of character’s might be the true traitor who’s working with the Dozen

My theory, Dean Tolly or Crook

Morning folks!

@TechNote, I do! He is super smart and very sweet and athletic as heck. We have strong rapport and he is going to be an excellent dog once he gets past the biting and the constant barking (the biting is getting better as he stops teething, the barking is going to be a long-term project, and he’ll always be hyper alert and eager to warn us of danger).

@Athenian_Soldier, a quick google search taught me what you were talking about. I will have to play some of those tunes while I write tonight since you so highly recommend!

@UrbanGhost, okay first thing…BEST SCREEN NAME EVER. And lol yes I dated myself using 90s music in the party scene but sometimes you just gotta do what you want. And yeah, you just reminded me to add yet one more thing to my ‘Punch List’ for Part 3. It can’t be much of a consequence since you’re moving campuses and everything, but yeah I agree there needs to at least be once scene that addresses it.

@StarWarsMaster, I’m sorry for your loss, man! And I know it doesn’t make it any easier, even when your pup has had a pretty good/long life. We lost a very elderly pug a few years ago and it still devastated my family. Hang in there as best you can.

And yeah, I think you’re right that I was always thinking about the nullifer power, it would definitely explain a few things, as you said. And you will have to be happy with CCH 2.5 for a while, I’m afraid! But I am intent on making it as silly and fun and light as possible, because in these times I think we need more laughs.

@TechNote, do you want to share at least a few of the tunes on your list? I’m curious! And yeah, I think I’m locked in/trapped with having a traitor. Could the traitor vary based on your MC’s path, or will it be the same traitor no matter what? I’m no sure about that yet. I’m still scratching my head along with you!

I’ll try to be quiet here for a few days and focus on cranking out CCH 2.5 content. I’ve written 6,000 new words since Sat, and would love to get that up to 10,000 new words by the end of this Sat.

Have a great weekend and stay Specktacular!

Oi @Eric_Moser,writing is fun but don’t overwork yourself…
And oh my damn devils, you’re writing faster than many others…
And who is the powerful villain according to you and what’s the MC’ team member’s average power levels?!?

To put my two pence in, I’d prefer if the traitor was the same person each time, especially if the traitor is one of the students. It would be weird if in one playthough you were friends with the traitor and in another they betray you.

I’m in the same boat with bug. it’d feel a little weird.

I am just curious, maybe I missed people talking about it, but I cannot be the only one who thinks Crook is Origami’s dad, am I? Then there was his age difference and a lot of innuendo that he wasn’t at Speck for himself.

I mean he was overly broken up about her death more and even apologized for not being able to protect her if you got close enough to him at the funeral.

Just saying it seems obvious to me for some reason.

Ya know…I wanted to refute this, but the age gap is just wide enough that it’s plausible and his reaction to her death was quite severe for someone who’s so “too cool for school.” I like this theory!

I agree with you. It does seem like a pretty convincing theory.
Since Crook mentioned having a kid at home, maybe Origami is his first, illegitimate child. In CCH2 Crook mentions breaking up with his spouse, so maybe the spouse finding out about his previous relationship caused the break up.

Head canon

Agree, not to mention it feels forced to me if you had good relationship with everyone and then got betrayed out of the blue without a good reason other than maybe them having the lowest relationship stat.

Nope, I’m 100% convinced it’s your mother. She got your low level, nobody, dad the opportunity to work with the dozen, and then she killed him in prison for flipping to prove her loyalty and protect herself from being exposed. Now she’s going to betray you. Plus, you being her child explains the dozen’s interest in Speck. You can’t have a members child becoming a hero, it messes up the balance, not to mention it’s just plain embarrassing.

Ooh…I like this theory. The only thing is if your mother is the traitor…she would have several opportunities to sabotage your hero career. She could’ve “accidentally” revealed your identity on social media…or she could have dropped an “anonymous tip” that one of Speck’s students is the son of a dastardly villain.

BTW, I’m hoping someone can help identify a couple of the characters from CCH 2’s cover. I recognize Hedy/McCormick/TollyAKA Mega Cat but the other two? Captain Cali and Downfall?

Both of those options draw to much attention to you, and your personal life and through your personal life her. Having a spot light on her life would force her to lay low and delay the dozen’s plans. She can’t afford that kind of hindrance so close to the finish line, besides it’s evil villian 101 that your plans have to be over elaborate and difficult, there are rules to these kinda things ya know. Lol.

@UrbanGhost
Wait, Tolly was Mega Cat? This changes so much and makes so much sense now. Like blew my mind. How in the heck did I miss this. Going back for another play through.

@Dartknight
And to be honest, the whole mother traitor thing actually makes a lot of sense. Maybe she is your biggest cheerleader and Lady Ashe at the same time, because she needs someone on the inside and you are it, total, unwitting, and unknowing patsy.
