I feel that no matter what you do, you still end up living down to your no-power problem. When the Wyvern attacks in all areas of your beloved city, you loose every single time except for the last confrontation where you trick the Wyvern into believing you have the Captain’s power modulator, or whatever it’s called. When the Manipulator and you face off in the hospital library right after you see Origami die, all three choices result in you still getting your but kicked, and in the second installment, when you and your classmates defend your school, Speck, you still can’t actually defeat her until you reach the end of the fight and punch her till she passes out, stun her with your taser, or something else in the same category as the other two examples already listed. Plus, after–if–you see Monster X bite off the Manipulator’s arm and reveal falsly that you are the leader of your classmates, ( also if you aren’t the actual leader already) Lady Ash takes you out easily, and it’s rather unrealistic, due to how you don’t have any regenerative abilities, and the burns you suffer are rather detailed so that they seem serious and tell you that your hero career is at an end…I do wish that the third installment in the series would change dramatically so that you have a better chance at winning the fight. But Mr. Moser, please don’t think that I’m insulting any of your hard work when you read this. I purely mean for this to be constructive criticism only.

If I’m right the characters from left to right are: Dr Shock, Shizukani, Lady Ash, Monstrosity X.

Yep.

Is this the last book in the series? I hope not cause I’ve become really invested in the characters lol

I think it’s Lady Ash, Shizukani, Blue Morpho, Monstrosity X.

I’m basing this off the answers to the last picture.

This is less actionable criticism and more saying you simply don’t like the plot–being a no name loser in a world of amazing superheroes/supervillains–as much. Which is fine mind you, but take into consideration that it’s a vital point you not be able to overcome these insurmountable villains without any trouble. If you could, that would be incredibly unrealistic as someone who has no powers and minimal training. Not to mention it would balloon the branching, eliminate narrative tension and make it nearly impossible to write a coherent story. If the Avengers could just defeat Thanos easily from the second he appeared…what would the story have been about?

You’ve already progressed a lot in the second game since the person who could do nothing as Origami died though. You can become or already were leader of a superhero group. You can save the life of your friend and your teacher. You defeat Wyvern by yourself when no one else can. You are integral in defending the school from a near God level supervillain–the Manipulator. Is none of that impressive as a newbie? I don’t know about you, but if I pulled all that off by the time I was a Sophomore in college, my mum would’ve been pretty excited. :joy:

The burns you suffer from Lady Ash were more highly painful and soul-crushing than incredibly serious enough to take you out of the game. She was punishing/toying with you on purpose to my knowledge. She’s talented enough to hold back if she wants to.

See when you string out the MC’s resume-fillers all like that, it does sound pretty legit! No wonder Prestige agreed to take you! (I still don’t know why they took Dr. Hover)

Who’s doctor hover again? Lol

Dr. Hover is probably my favorite minor character, mostly based on the short story I wrote about him. I would like him to get a somewhat happy ending, but we’ll see!

I’m just glad Hi-jinx didn’t make it in… wait, Hi-jinx isn’t going to jump out and surprize me halfway through the the story, right? That’s such a clown thing to do.
