*UPDATED AS OF 2/23/2021
I’ve re-opened this thread for Community College Hero 2.5: Fun and Games, as I’ve finally reestablished some progress this winter.
CCH 2.5 is connected to Parts 1 & 2, but it’s more a supplement than an essential part of the main trilogy. It contains 3 interactive stories exploring the adventures of the MC and the Speck kids taking place during various times in their freshman fall and spring semesters.
The tone is lighter and whackier. I really felt this was needed before I publish Part 3, because once I do that, that’s it, the whole story is done. No one wants to go back in time once the characters’ fates are sealed (I’m looking at you, MCU Black Widow). I wanted to spend a bit more time with just writing “fun content” for the gang.
This game started out as a vague idea to add another 10k words or so of content to Part 2, and it has morphed into its own independent game. It’s about 60k words right now, and appears to be on its way to 80k words total.
Feel free to offer feedback on pretty much any element (prose, choices, dialogue, pacing, bugs, typos, etc.) because I love tidying up/editing as I go.
The stories are:
“The Fury of Zarlor” (DnD-inspired, the gang plays a fantasy tabletop RPG) DRAFT IS 80% DONE
“There’s a Monster on my Line” (Scooby Doo-inspired; the gang investigates a real-life mystery monster in a small Nebraska town) DRAFT IS DONE
“Parents’ Day” STILL TO DO
Right now, I’d most appreciate help with beta-testing “A Monster on My Line” since that draft is finished, and I’d love to get it clean and polished.
