I’ve re-opened this thread for Community College Hero 2.5: Fun and Games. I’ve made a lot of progress on the game, but I need a couple more months of steady work to get it to the level of quality and quantity I want. I’ve kept testing private for a while, but I’m still far from the finish line, and I felt making the update public would result in more feedback.
CCH 2.5 is connected to Parts 1 & 2, but it’s more a supplement than an essential part of the main trilogy. It contains 3 interactive stories exploring the adventures of the MC and the Speck kids taking place during various times in their freshman fall and spring semesters.
The tone is lighter and whackier. I really felt this was needed before I publish Part 3, because once I do that, that’s it, the whole story is done. No one wants to go back in time once the characters’ fates are sealed (I’m looking at you, MCU Black Widow). I wanted to spend a bit more time with just writing “fun content” for the gang.
This game started out as a vague idea to add another 10k words or so of content to Part 2, and it has morphed into its own independent game. It’s about 50k words right now, and appears to be on its way to 75k words total, easily (if not more).
Feel free to offer feedback on pretty much any element (prose, choices, dialogue, pacing, bugs, typos, etc.) because I love tidying up/editing as I go.
The stories are:
“The Fury of Zarlor” (the gang plays a fantasy tabletop RPG, about 80% done)
“There’s a Monster on my Line” (the gang investigates a real-life mystery monster in a small Nebraska town, about 40% done)
“Parents’ Day” (not started)
