Ok in the process of playing it now tbh I was kinda put off as I thought from the genre it’d take place on an alien planet or something, not that there’s not the potential for me to like it then, but really like the format so far, kinda similar to the oval office yp. Thought I’d post my feedback so far, as although I haven’t finished playing, have a fair bit of feedback, hope you find it useful .
Wondering why there is an option in the nation selection for England and Scotland, rather than the UK or have Wales and Northern Ireland and/or Ireland too? Not necessarily a criticism, but am curious.(btw chose England myself)
Didn’t read the about section tbh, and haven’t read about the first game, so maybe it’s just me, but found the first bit jarring how it jumps from you blacking out to the prime minister speaking, but did just jump into the game, so that could just be me.
During the meeting with the prime minister there is no option to want to try and alter the asteroid’s course, obvs get why for plot reasons, but felt that option wasn’t explored and consequently dismissed enough. I also found it weird how the military adviser talked about destroying the asteroid, only have casual/basic knowledge, but from what I’ve read altering it’s course would be a viable option, where as destroying it wouldn’t, unless futuristic nukes are more potent/advanced, but if so I feel the military adviser should elaborate on this. Not so sure about the prime minister suggesting it, as the suggestions weren’t public, and he was consulting with his advisers.
Also found a few typos and such, not sure when I’ll have chance to go through more thoroughly for them, but saw a few American references such as president and dollas, but really like the small cultural nods.
Bit dark but when discussing over the curry whether to tell the public now or not, maybe have an option to never tell them, and have any amateur astronomers or anyone else who finds out “disappear” or get a knock on their door from a man in black xd.
See that headline wouldn’t have been published if the author was “disappeared” xd, but more seriously maybe be able to use that headline to push the prime minister/leader to take a more forceful approach to suppressing the truth…Not surprisingly love the option to have Cloe taken care of , but an option to have a man in black visit her or the media outlet might be nice too. Also would the military be used? My inkling was for England it’d be more likely an MI branch would be used, CIA for the US etc. Also if you can’t tell I’m playing an super evil mc so the repetition of being asked when we should tell the public, feels it’d be better if you could if not say to never tell the public, respond more aggressively/dismissively etc subsequent times at being asked.
Overall though really pleasantly surprised, really enjoying it so far .
