Ooh fixed, sorry about that and thanks for alerting!

Ahhh that was so gooood. Finally didn’t romance Rayyan again and tried out ol’ Guey. What a peach. But now I have to play again and romance Rayyan >:(

Typos, maybe

Her snorts, and gives you an empathic fist-bump. You can tell she’s relieved, too. She wipes the beads of sweat that have collected on her brow.

You draw level. Someone yells, “Let’s go, Lynaia!” and “Let’s go, Tobin!” It sounds like Tobin (should be Rayyan) and Cho.

You’re very quickly surrounded by your teammates and coaches, and you lose sight of Sam. Everyone looks as giddily excited as you feel. “THROUGH TO SEMIS!!” Deepal (where did my girl Deepal come from? She’s not in the lineup) shouts, and the rest pick it up like a chant.

Also, also; I thought Sam was playing the mixed doubles but I played against her in the woman’s team with Tobin. Pretty sure I remember her saying she was getting picked for mixed doubles? When she visited. Might be wrong.

Almost forgot, but during the party I won the disgusting devils dozen and got the achievement for doing it twice despite missing out on the real one by one hit..

Wait, so my mc who plays men’s doubles only with Rayyan is not meant to be able to play Sam and Pan?

Yay! Of course my Sammy is male, cutest gay couple in tennis, and as per my linked article men’s tennis could use a couple of good out and openly gay players.

@paigeboy Thank you for the bug & typo reports! I’ve fixed them!

As for Sam—you’re right, there was a conversation early on about Sam and mixed doubles, but I’ve decided I don’t want to necessarily rule out the option for women’s/men’s doubles as well since it’s a nice story beat (playing against Sam) so I’ve changed the wording of that scene

This is a little strange, not sure how you did that, as I double-checked the code and it looks like all the misses are being tracked, but I’ll give it another look again!

If Sam is also a man, your MC does get to play with Sam and Pan!

Hi Allie long time no see

I’m really happy for the update and right now trying to romance G eventhough my heart always come back for Sam :joy:

Btw I forgot to take screenshot but there is repetition of words when my MC went to see Sam’s match ( I think the word is Tobin frown or something ).

So I can’t wait to see mooooore and ofc I miss merry crisis too!!!

maybe it’s because it’s checking an achievement, it definitely went through the below code despite my not having that achievement at the time because it was a fresh save. It may be prudent to have a separate variable for it? But please don’t change it yet :3 least it fuck people’s save’s. It’s not a big deal

How do we beat Deepal the second match ?

Edit: Found some more typos I added to the bottom :>

I did it with two skills at 35, maybe 36. The rest except serve and volley (which was 20 something) were low 30s. Specifically I think Strength and Agility were 35.

More typos/etc I’ve noticed

Sitting in such close proximity to Sam and Rayyan had clearly not been the wisest of decisions; it feels a little like holding the like-ends of two magnets too close; you can’t help but notice the surreptitious glances that Tobin (feel like this should be Rayyan no) and Sam are giving each other, the micro-expressions that flit over their faces in response to something you or someone else has said or done. Everything’s balanced on a razor-thin line.

Cho shrugs. “I wasn’t selected. Felix played with Tobin.” – If you play with Tobin during the competition she says that she played with Deep last year??

Rayyan’s gaze is full of heat as your eyes meet across the hotel lobby. Her lips curl upward into a tiny smile that flashes, before disappearing. She doesn’t say anything, and neither do you—not with everyone else watching. You get the sudden urge to walk over and slip your hand in(to) her(s).

You study Sam’s partner.

Pan Narasaki looks mixed, with tanned skin and light brown eyes, thin straight hair that’s parted in the center. She has a jumpy, alert demeanour in the way his eyes seem to flit from one thing to another, reminding you a little of some highly-intelligent crow.

(This is with a male Sam and he is playing mixed double’s).

Malik, an all-court-player, had been touted as the ‘next big thing’ in her sophomore year, but for some reason or another, had failed to live up to her potential. Her’d ended up achieving more success in doubles than in singles, at least over the duration of her college career.

Your opponents certainly make an odd pair: Sanderson with his measured stillness and Malik with that coiled-spring restlessness.

At gamepoint, you serve wide, drawing Sanderson off the court, then charge up the net—trusting Rayyan to cover the back. The senior tries for a low, hard passing shot, but you’re already moving, cutting it off in a volley that clears the net and dies in the front. Game.

qf_set_1_score –> button (I’m not doing well except for chemistry btw)

You decide to take a cue from Rayyan, letting her decide how he’d like to approach this game. Malik and Sanderson are clearly fired up, and you’re at a key juncture in the match.

Rayyan grasps your shoulder briefly and gives you a small nod, then steps up to the baseline to receive (her) serve. Her jaw is set resolutely, green eyes blazing with fierce intensity. But when her gaze meets yours, that fire softens into something warmer. She nods at you when you take your position next to her. It’s a look you know well. She turns to face the front after that, bouncing on the balls of her feet.

Rayyan: (scowls, blushing even more) “No comment. At this point, I can’t help but ask: are you writing coverage for the tennis tournament? Or a gossip rag?” - no typo here buuuuuuut hahahhahaha I giggled so much jesus -_-

Sam nods. “Sounds good. Good luck for semis tomorrow.” He shoots you a crooked smile. “The least you could do after being rude enough to beat me is to win the title so I can say I got beaten by the champions.” –> (I didn’t play him obviously, I kissed Rayyan :DDDDDDDDD, so I didn’t beat him? Tobes did.)

Your answer is solid, and Prof. Sackler looks almost pleasantly surprised by your insight. He highlights something you mentioned, then builds on it for the rest of ht eclass. You’re glad that you’d spent some time doing your readings over the weekend.

You check the draws, and manage to locate Sam and Pan, her partner, at Court 7, one of the five indoor courts at the university. They’re up against a team from Miami State. While running your eye through the tournament brackets, you realize with a jolt that the possibility of meeting Sam as an opponent that had been niggling at you ever since you’d picked Felix as your doubles partner might indeed come to pass. - I haven’t done that and don’t think I ever could tbh. He’s pretty lame + I can’t be the reason Rayyan doesn’t get to play the tournament. Even if I’m not romancing her.

Sam chips a return that catches Tobin out at the net. You accelerate from your end of the baseline to the other and hit a sliding cross-court to save the ball. Pan smashes back a powerful return, but this time, Tobin is ready. Leaping straight up, she slam(s) the ball down the end of the line, keeping it within-bounds but impossible to reach.

I was thinking you could postpone the conversation Sam has with MC about how they’re playing mixed doubles because the whatever gender they are team doubles is solid until a phone conversation after MC solidifies whether they’re playing mixed doubles or not so that it makes it easier for you to code it and puts a pin in that plot hole.

Hi, this is my first time going through this and I’m still making my way, but I just wanted to point out a few mistakes and typos I noticed :).

Summary
  • During the match with Jacks, there is a choice that says, “I’m betting all the eggs in my basket that Jack’s blufing. Stay in front.” Since the name is Jacks, I think it would be correct to write “Jacks’s” as in “Jacks is”. Also, it seems you forgot an f in bluffing.
  • '“Thanks for the run,” Rayyan says, swiping some of the sweat from her brow. She waves a hand, a little stiffyly." Stiffyly should be stiffly.
  • After winning against Emily in the first singles match, I go to Tobin first and then everyone else joins. The phrase, “The rest of the team joins in, folding you and Tobin into a massive, sweaty group hug,” repeats twice in two consecutive paragraphs, though the rest of the paragraphs are different. I was unsure if this was purposeful or not.
*One day, Tobin takes the mc on a kind of date to look at a nature view. She is referred to as a senior here. This might not be helpful since it’s not very specific. I was not able to include screenshots, but let me know if you would like me to send them to you so you know exactly what scenes I am talking about.

I believe this is everything so far. I apologize if I came across as rude or anything at any point.

Thank you @paigeboy and @t_sampson for the reports! I’ll work on the edits in the next update.

@raissinha love that G is your fave route! And yes… Sam does get pretty sad in the open relationship.

New Instagram account for College Tennis: Origin Story & Merry Crisis

I’ll be posting little updates and content on this account in the future–especially since I know not everyone has a Tumblr account! Instagram also allows for more chill/informal updates so do give the account a follow if you’re interested

I must have to admit, this is just too much fun. I can’t believe it, I’ve played it four times in three days already.

The most impressive thing for me should be MC’s singles debut when I played it for the first time. In order to pass the test, I logged back several times, and the earliest one was directly back to the first training session! But I still didn’t win until suddenly, victory jumped out. In that moment, I was as incredulous as my MC, feeling light and unreal at all. All I can do is quickly save it to ensure that it’s not my hallucination. That was really a difficult victory because I almost couldn’t help but switch to cheating mode in order to win the game. But unexpectedly, we won in the end.

The work is really well written! Oh my god, you’re such a genius! Come on, I can’t wait to see the next update!

(At the same time, because my English is not very good, it can even be said to be a bit bad. So this passage was translated by a translation software. If there is any problem or expression that is not very good, please forgive me.)

Ah, and also, because I noticed that MC’s mother’s residence is very close to the university, will it be covered in future updates? I am very curious about MC’s mother. Will MC have further contact with my mother if I choose the film major?

I think I like every RO.But can’t I establish a romantic relationship with Sam at the beginning? I was really surprised when I asked MC to confess to Sam, but he refused.

Hello! Thank you so much for creating this! Since English is not my first language, I used a translator, so please forgive me for any grammatical or phrasing errors.

This story is truly amazing! The characters are incredibly charming, and the content is so rich and engaging! I also absolutely love your writing style—it’s very fluid and captivating.:heart: What I especially enjoy are the reactions and jealousy among the characters when my character gets close to, or even starts dating, another character! And the supplementary material, especially the sections written from other characters’ perspectives, is simply fantastic!! It really helps me understand that they didn’t just suddenly fall for me out of nowhere, haha.

Thank you again for your wonderful creation; this story is truly great.

I got this error as well. My MC’s double partner is Rayyan, and so he turned down the option to do mixed doubles with Felix so he could go to the tournament with his partner.

HAHAH. Congrats! You can screenshot it, print it out and frame it up! Just kidding, but really glad you enjoy the tennis matches and get a sense of accomplishment from winning.

Absolutely., yes!! A meeting with their money is in the works.

Yeah, Sam’s a slow-burn

Thank you so much! I love to hear this, because ultimately CT:OS is a character-driven story and I really worked hard to make each character feel like a whole person, with their own dreams and fears and narrative arcs, so it means a lot to hear that the romances feel like they’re in line with the overall character development in the story.

Rayyan Winter Snippet

I wanted to drop by to say that a Festive Bonus Scene is out now! You’re visiting Rayyan’s family for New Year’s and… basically get adopted.

  • Rayyan’s cat picks you over them (the traitor!)

  • You discover approximately 10,000 tennis trophies in their room, including one very special one…

  • The morning after sharing Rayyan’s childhood bed, their sister asks how the night went. At the breakfast table. In front of everyone. :skull:

  • Rayyan’s grandfather recites you a medieval Arabic love poem about fools drowning in love, looks meaningfully at Rayyan

Hey there. I wanted to let you know that i noticed an achievement bug - I got rewarded for hooking up more than once on halloween but I’ve been on a Guillaume solo path the whole playthrough. It said I was with G and Guillaume somehow.
Also, I’m totally not a sports person at all but I love this story and how you’ve written everything has made it super easy to follow. Sometimes I wish I could get my tennis stats up higher but then I manage to clinch a victory and I wonder if maybe that’s the best part of playing. Thank you for writing!

I can relate to this, my sports are football, baseball, and hockey, this totally got me Anyway despite tennis not being my thing

Chapter 7 pt. 4 is live!

Hey everyone!

The final part of Chapter 7 can be played here (Ko-fi | Patreon)! The update is very tennis-centric, though you do get an intimate moment at night (before the semis) if that’s what you crave. Otherwise, go hoist that doubles trophy!

What better way to celebrate the AO 2026 becoming a fun slam than playing some tennis (virtually)!

If you spot any bugs, do let me know - if you don’t want your saves to possibly be broken when I inevitably fix bugs, play it maybe 1-2 days later D: (sorry, I do always try to beta-test beforehand but it’s a lot of branching these days!)

Features (75k words):

  1. Have dinner either with Sam or your teammates
  2. Heart-to-heart conversation with your roommate (or find a way to invite someone else back to your room)
  3. Play the semi-finals match…
  4. Clinch the championship title if you get past your opponents in the final… and survive a harrowing incident involving a heckler from the stands(!!)
  5. Potentially make plans with your doubles partner for next year…
