I can see my ‘favorites’ without any error. Try right-clicking on the link and selecting ‘open link in new tab’. I don’t know why it should, but that sometimes magically seems to clear things up

Hoping this is the correct place! No idea how to navigate this site. I’ve recently come across an issue of mine in regards to exporting saves. It will show up as downloaded, but is nowhere to be found within my files. I have it set for downloads to end up in the download file, and other such downloads (that aren’t COG related) send through perfectly fine so I doubt it has to do with my device and its settings. I’m wondering if anyone else is facing these issues. This is via iPad, if this helps any way. Phones always show error with saving, so I’m pointedly ignoring that haha.

I’m not sure if this is the right place, as the Cogdemos site doesn’t export saves as far as I’m aware. Are you referring to creating saves at the end of published titles that get imported into the next in a series?

It does.
Does this happen with all games? I’ve had this happen with a single save while all others have worked fine.

Sadly, it does. I have checked with a few games and nothing in my files. I did find that I have to manually find the downloads within the web browser and manually download it myself, which had never occurred beforehand and is something I’m needing to do only with COG save files. I’m wondering if it’s the web browser itself that’s causing the issue. In regards to the phone and saving, that too is also with all games I have checked so far.
Edit: disregard the phone issue, it was funnily enough only those four games I tried in succession

Safari puts them automatically in the folder I’ve set up in its settings for downloads, at least.

I’m using safari as well, and it’s not doing that. Which is only a recent issue, and only with game saves. It’s quite the confusing conundrum.

Ah, I see now - some of the recent iOS updates seem to have done something weird. They appear on the download list, but not the actual folder.
You can click the file on the download list and save it to files, that seems to work.

I was wondering if it’d be possible to make the view count toggleable off and on - I find it a bit distracting when navigating through the games list.

Yeah, I looked at it again, and the only way to force it is to do it in the “edit details” part of one of your games. Once you link it, it links your creator page as well as your subscription information.
I’ll ask Csaba about adding a way for users without games to connect their account to Patreon. That would probably make things a lot easier.
It’s possible you’ve favorited a game with a bad link. I know I saw someone else complaining about this, but got it fixed–I’m not sure how, though. Some people have DNS issues, but that is typically with the entire site, and playing games won’t work either. Do games work for you at all? And did you happen to favorite a game with a bad link (or link with a space in it, which causes things to break)?
I upped it to 8mb, for both scenes files and for game assets.

I can add it to the list. Someone else requested to have the views toggleable in the dashboard as well, so I will probably try to hit those both at once.
Trying to get this Patreon stuff fixed first before moving on to any changes.

It seems to happen with Twine saves on itch too now, so seems more like Apple issue than cogdemos issue.

Taking a couple games off my favourites fixed the problem. It seems it was the link issue. Thank you for the help!

Been having issues with the favourites page juts showing 500 Server Error for months now. Today I just deleted my account, created a new one, and started favouriting games after sorting by most viewed. I can say that favouriting the Drink Your Villain Juice and Can’t Save Your Love From Dying WIPs broke my favourites page, and I can’t figure out why. The links aren’t broken and don’t have any spaces in them as far as I can see? I have tried Firefox and Chrome, same issue.
EDIT: I don’t think I can like more than 5 games also? ex. Merry Crisis has parenthesis in the link but I can add it just fine as long as I don’t have 5 games already liked

I was really happy you gave me game names that were causing issues, thinking I could replicate the problem. I have a dummy account I use for testing. I added five games, then added “Drink Your Villain Juice”, then checked. It worked. I added “Merry Crisis” and it worked. I added “Can’t Save Your Love from Dying” and it worked. I did this using Brave, which is chrome-based, so it should work the same in chrome.
You aren’t limited in the number of favorites you can add. I checked the links for all of the above and none had a problem, nor did they have spaces. One had an exclamation point in the title, and Merry Crisis has parentheses in the author name, which might cause a problem, but I saw no issue.
Honestly, this is the most helpful info I’ve gotten about the favorites issue, save for people finding the space issue. Would you mind sharing with me your entire favorites list? You can DM, if you want. I want to copy your list with my dummy account and see if I can get the 500 error.
One thing I haven’t tried is favoriting a private game–are any of the faves in your list private?
Also, for those interested, Csaba got back to me on the Patreon setup. I need to pull the new code to moody. Not sure if anyone is around to test, though, since both CC and JC aren’t around this month.

Currently my favourites list has:
- apartment 502
- debt of deception
- infamous
- merry crisis
- weeping gods public demo
So on both Firefox and Chrome I tried removing all from my favorites list and added them in order this order, worked fine. I tried adding a random game on the site’s first page Hronik Flame and Steel, and works fine though it’s not in the same order as I added them and shows up 3rd. I try to add Villain Juice, page breaks. I remove Villain Juice and try to add When Life Gives You Lemons instead, page breaks. I remove WLGYL and add another game from the first page Eternal Ascension, and it still works! I tried clearing my cache and cookies but it’s the same. I really don’t see a pattern, this is very weird.
I used the same email for my old account and new account, so maybe that’s somehow the issue? I’ll try with a different one and see.

Never checked the favourite list before but yes, I am also getting 500 error
Edit: May be it is the number of games issue, I must have more than 5 atleast but I don’t remember which ones I favourited

Is there a way to delete your saved if you have apparently used all your storage space?
I cannot make any more saved across all demos but cant deleted them either because the saves dont show up anymore. ^^’
