Citadel WiP (Updated: 1/21/2023) - A Medical Drama with Romance

I think developing a drug addictiom from stealing the pills and ending up fired and in prison would be a fun NSGO to have

IT’S HERE

Case Two: Chapter Three (“Lull”) is available to play here!

As always, feedback is appreciated. Let me know what your favorite moment in the chapter was - I’d love to hear it!

For coding errors, please let me know which line the error occurs at (ChoiceScript should display it in their error message).

Anyone know how to pass out in the game in the chapter with victor and dr grey?

To pass out, you need to choose to skip lunch and then either:

turn down Davy’s protein bar offer
pick the wrong snack at the vending machine (just pick something really sugary, for example)
refuse to talk to Eli further when they find you at the vending machine

Can’t believe I only found this now!

That option should be “your”

Slight personal negative: I’m not fond of the “remember this information for later” stuff (in general, not just here in particular), because while the distance between getting the information and using the information might be short on paper, in practice RL sometimes gets in the way and it can be a couple of days between those two points.

Very big RO competition here; very conflicted in whom I’ll go for, so congrats on that front. Don’t suppose there’s a poly option around, is there?

Really liking it so far!

EDIT: I’d like SOME indication of when “spend time” options are exclusive and when they’re not. For example, at the party you can talk to Vic and that doesn’t spend time, but getting food with Jean does, and there’s no way to tell in either case. In the new chapter, you can do all four activities, if you do them in order, but there’s no indication of that, either.

I find it surprisingly entertaining

Kinda yeah, as sometimes I end up skimming over stuff >> It would be a bit nicer if the info was bolded or smth, so it’d be easier to know what is important ^^

maybe a thing in stats for notes

Why does eating anything with Jean completely screw up your schedule? First lunch now this?

Definitely a good call on making time clearer.

I actually disagree on the remembering, as I think it helps add to the stress and therefore connects you more to the stress of being an intern, but it is a valid complaint and I can see not everyone liking it.

Dont like it either but I think its appropriate for a medical drama.

Um, what’s up with the latest interaction with Dr Grey? Despite never once indicating that I’m attracted to him, my character is suddenly fawning over him (and seemingly has to resist the urge to flirt with him?!)? I’m very confused and uncomfortable.

Well, that’s definitely not supposed to happen lol - thanks for letting me know, will fix in the next update.

No new content, but a few fixes:

Because greypoints are partially based on how competent your intern is, the game will no longer automatically assume that if you have high greypoints , your intern is interested in Dr. Grey.

Choices that are restricted (e.g. can only hang-out with one person after the party scene, cannot go on a run after visiting the farmer’s market) were made clearer.

Information that will be relevant to later (e.g. Ms. Lin’s diagnosis) has been bolded - remember to still take notes, though!

Grammatical fixes.

Thank you to everyone who provided feedback, and please let me know if there are any new coding errors! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Do we have to restart? :eyes:

Update went live, so you’re gonna get kicked to the start of Case 2 Chapter 2, at most.

(for the record, I restarted)

Since it’s literally one screen later (and you can easily logic your way to the solution in any case) I’m not sure if you didn’t bold it on purpose, but the procedure to NINO Ms. Lin isn’t bolded when Vic does it.

Case 2 info doesn’t seem to be bolded at all, as well.

The “before you go home” additions to the party choices are perfect.

Feels… unnatural that there’s not a “how WOULD you spend your Friday night?” follow-up question, as it is a pretty obvious segue.

OMG, we’re THAT ASSHOLE that keeps holding up the line and makes the job of fast food clerks harder! I’ve never been so ashamed in my life! :scream:

After meeting the triad at the party, and seeing how Jean’s romance progresses much faster than Vic’s or Sloan’s (unless they’re progressed by optins I haven’t taken), I’m curious if poly will be an option for the MC.

Wouldn’t normally bother you with something as minor as this, but seeing as I’m making this post anyway, there should be a space between “know” and “he” in that last line.

Wanna reiterate that the changes to the text of the party’s options are great.
