It always fails, but you can uncover why it always fails, if you dig hard enough. Additionally by swinging the election in certain ways you can obtain favours from various other vampires.
I think that might be related to Stealth stat since it is about hunting if I remember correctly.
Yeah, I sided with the Revolutionaries and I noticed getting some favors from other senators. I guess the status skill is worth it? I kinda want to raise my streetwise into 4 so that when St. Louis comes out I can become some sort of crime boss.
Also, once blood types are discovered in 1901, it would be interesting to see if the PC realizes that their âfavorite mealsâ generally had a certain blood type (or not).
That would be nice to see!
If youâre talking about what I think youâre talking about, you have to be Black.
Iâve been intentionally light on the details about the PCâs relationship with their dominus if it was an $embrace_of_affection for just that reason: it could be unreciprocated if they wanted.
Free PoC or former slave?
Doesnât matter.
If the next game after St. Louis will be set in Chicago, does that mean we get to be in the heart of Prohibition? Sheeeit, Iâm so excited. My black vampire would certainly get his hands on booze and speakeasies, I hope he even gets to meet Al Capone himself.
A bit odd that Pickering would speak against âPapistsâ when Adonis rules from Rome.
Is he playing to the Southerner American crowd?
Fairly sure Adonis is older than Jesus, so it isnât that strange.
I may have encountered a bug. When reloading the checkpoint in Memphis, if you check your stats and then return to the game, instead of being sent back to the downtime screen where you can improve your stats, you are sent to a scene where a priest is preaching about an angel.
I donât know the intricacies of Adonisâ court, but if he has tied his fate to the city of Rome, presumably a strong Papacy would benefit him and his domain as well.
While these are most likely questions for @jasonstevanhill , in conversations with Fragala, it is implied that Adonis supported The Risorgimento, so he would be seemingly anti Church, or at least Anti-Papal States.
Adonis is Carthaginian. When Carthage fell to Rome in 146 BCE, he relocated to Rome.
I think you get sent to whatever scene you were watching/reading before reloading. You should be able to reload again and continue from there (as long as you donât check your stats again).
Sheâs gonna be like the vampire version of Madame Stephanie St. Clair then lol.
Nah, too much of a goody-two shoes. She doesnât even have 1 point in streetsmart.
Just here as a curious customer.
This is an aside, but I hope we get to interact with Rebecca Ashmore again. Besides the possibility of Naniya falling for a southern belle, but someone taking the time to learn her language would impress her.
Of course, most versions of Naniya are still naive enough not to wonder why a Senator would have such an interest in her.
Additionally, I hope Jason is keeping track of the number of vampires a character might kill. If Rebecca is doing some long con, she would certainly take note of vampires who end up dead, missing, or fought with, and Naniya (in my playthroughs) happens to be in the area.
-
Her creator. Even if they go to sleep for decades, he fact no one has seen them in close to a century would be noticeable.
-
Cecil Lynch. If nothing else, I can see the Quaestor of New York mentioning how a hobo vamp might have disappeared (assuming the player doesnât admit to killing him)
-
Andrew Calkins in Vicksburg. As shown in Memphis, he has one Senate friend who no doubt talks to others.
-
Valet or Hugh in Memphis. Of course, this is at the direction of Withers or Carothers, but noticeable, especially when tied to.
-
Dido Applethorp. True, it can be spun to the valet, Hugh, or Apollo, but another vamp down.
-
Estafania - okay, no death here, but she is an elder vampire and it is possible for the player to defeat her in combat. She may die at your fangs, or else survive when West appears. If the latter, she will certainly tattle.
-
Vampire of Cincinnati - Yes,a mortal but if the player admits to kill them, and others are watching then this would be added to the body count.
. -
West. Obviously, the player doesnât do the killing, but if the player surveys they are relatively unscathed. After all, Hiram is KIA, Sabine bears a large scar that doesnât heal, Memeskia might be deadâŠso in a way, the player emerges unscathed.
So if I was an elder, and noticed someone barely a century old in the vicinity of a number of deaths/disappearances, as well as beating an elder (admittedly one not suited for combat) and surviving an ancient would bear watching.
Holy shit, thatâs one impressive missing personsâ list.
