Choice of Rebels: Stormwright (XoR2 WIP)

Unfortunatly its not the only thing bredan has done in my belief from what i recall of playing long time ago. That poisoning in the caves was just the most obvious thing there were other things that if i recall correctly happened far more easily than other wise. Hmm which reminds me i should replay it a few times lol

Couldn’t it just happened that Bredan messed up with the food organization and accodentally poisoned food?

I think that is the kind of incompetence at an insurgency fighting for its existence wouldn’t suffer regardless.

Breden is kinda stupid, but they are a good companion.

Others might think that but i refuse to thete were just to much an if i recall properly they even admitted to doing so. As well in that scenario we get caught but he tells us a kryptast pass code the leader of the soldiers coming after us and the rebellion that allows for us the MC to escape. Its the only reason why i say he cares for the MC but that does not stop bredan from condemning everyone else to death or eventual death. Likely by harrowing to set a public example much like they do if we play a relunctant noble mc which i point out bredan gets us imprisoned by opening there mouth and conveniently gets to live and not be harrowed anyway even if they have to investigate us. Once more if we happen to speak against it all at that point before we are in custody we get saved by someone claiming to be apart of the laconeers or some such group and later get i think it was two maybe three spears designed to kill the platoki creatures after are specific blood scent.

So no its all just to much exspecially when it is bredan who is a " helot " from out of the district suddenly shows up one day and specifically agitates who ever he can to resist no matter what mc or path you take nearly every major bad thing in a play through not made by your own poor choices falls squarely on there head or points there direction.

An yeah ive heard the what if he is being set up argument but it holds little to no weight when specifically kicking him out of the group early saves you from so much heartache and or trouble.

Btw, I don’t have the option to negotiate with Calea over the matter of Hector attacking my supplies.

you need to be an INT 2 aristo or like men to get the option to talk to Calea in response to the mule train attacks

2 COM if you lead the bait squad, otherwise I know Simon/Simone can beat Hector if you have them lead, not sure on Kalt/Kala but id assume they can also beat Hector

Im no aristo nor gay so I shall impale Hector then (he deserves it)

Btw, how do I defeat Hector without losing Zvad nor usng theurgy/wisardry?

What were the other things? The only thing I remember is a raid Radar was in charge of going poorly, which could also easily be because HE’S the spy… or that he’s incompetent because let’s be real here. It’s possible that the other things you’re talking about just didn’t happen in my playthrough.

If Breden consciously chose to poison the group I feel it was a way to hedge their bets, with the poisoning being something they can point to as proof of their loyalty to the Thaumatarchy. The fact that they don’t jump ship and even agree to follow an MC past the wards during a failed chapter 4 seems to me to exonerate them somewhat of guilt.

Atleast, exonerate them of poisoning the food on purpose, they could’ve made an honest mistake and as said upthread with how bad the timing of the poisoning is it wouldn’t matter, the group needed a scapegoat.

Breden is just one of those anime love interests who are comically bad at cooking.

Tbh Everytime I hear someone bring up breden is a traitor for the millionth time this always comes up in my mind. If breden is the traitor why is she making it that obvious that she might like seriously actual spies are good at clearing their tracks, and in all honestly breden is trash at that. the traitor is probably using them as a scapegoat, for a while I thought it could be radmar, but because he was the first to start pointing fingers, but honestly he’d been that before we even showed up, so he could be paranoid since breden isn’t an rim local as far as I could recall. So it can’t be them so its probably someone influencial in the Mc’s inner circle, and I don’t know who it is just that they are there.

Ok then

That COULD also explain why the poisoning doesn’t happen unless Breden is there. No fall guy to pin the crime on.
