Children of the Gods (Important poll #12306)

First, doesn’t that depend on the manufacturer? And second: the form of the pill got nowhere described ingame?

Anywhere lol but when i read the blue pill given by Zeus lol.or is her herpes medicine or Viagra

It anyway is a nice joke that all the MCs with Zeus as father have to suffer from.

I see you like your vintage memes. I can respect that.

Still I think that would be an interesting twist if she built up to this war between the gods and titans to then flip the script.

Nah, I don’t know, it would feel cheap. Build up a world of your own just to say “Kidding! It’s all a lie”? That feels cheap, at least for me.

Especially when there aren’t much things that foreshadow it. It would come out of nowhere expect some obscure matrix parallel.

You sure? The foreshadowing could’ve been there the whole time. Feeling pulled toward certain choices, being at the center of the most important war in history, possible memories of a life you don’t remember living.

I could see it happening. Though I’m certain it won’t.

Nah. Stories with characters in virtuel realities work good when we see the conflict of them being in the wrong world.

The conflicts we have here are clearly bound to the plot of the game.
And all the things you bring up are explained through the lore of the world. They are explained by the story and match the world the game is set in. Games with a VR story normally give little hints through inconsistencies that the MC notices, much more the closer we come to the twist, to set it up. The chosen one trope is not enough to say that a VR twist is more plausible.

In this case the story sets up different elements: The secret with MC’s family, the prophecy and who is plotting against who. The plot is already full without an obsolet “It’s just a game” twist.

Suppose so.

Anyway, I wonder when the trials will start. It’s been stated before that it’s essentially like a big free for all with only one survivor right?

If so I wonder if it’ll be like a day to day survival with obstacles and enemies thrown in or if it’ll be like a big arena battle between everyone.

It already started. The last scene of the demo is the beginning of Artemis’ trial.

Ah I see. Didn’t know it had been updated that far. This is my first time checking in on this game in a long while.

Well, to the link I go.

Could someone please tell me how to have Hades be your Dad? I keep getting Poseidon -_-

Probably because you don’t kill the seeker.

Kill the seeker and you always get Poseidon. Kill the seeker and have Wit as your highest stat, you get Hades. Kill the seeker and have Allure as your highest stat, you get Zeus. Kill the seeker and have Strength as your highest stat, you get Poseidon again.

There really needs to be a disclaimer about this.

Aw man thanks, I tried high charisma, high strength, and high wit but it wasn’t working.I don’t know why I didn’t think to kill that dude. Gonna give it another shot. I knew it would be wit. Do you know if the personality types have any effect on stats?

In the sense if they give you a boost to wit, strength or allure? No, not as far as I can tell.

It’s not in the code outright, no.

Random thought that crossed my mind…but what are the Demigods’ views on relationships and polygamy?

I mean, many of them come from a God parent who has clearly had more than one relationship in their lifetime. And each God may have different views on how they should raise/interact with their children. So do the Demigods have a unique view about how relationship dynamics work (kinda feel like it may be the case for a good number of Aphrodite’s children) or do they tend to lean more toward their human parents and culture’s views on such matters?

It’s probably more polyamory than polygamy. I don’t think anyone actually has more than one spouse, but a lot of them certainly do seem to have open or semi-open marriages and lots of simultaneous lovers.
