Sounds more like a eternal headache to me.
Certainly not arguing that he and Hermes are the most plausible male options for a Godly romance.
But idea of having the current Bearer being in a relationship with any of the Gods/Goddesses just brings out a big ‘NO’ reaction for me. In a past life flashback though? I’d be more open to the idea (especially it it turned out to be a relationship that effected the God/Goddess in a way they never thought was possible).
It certainly has given Sage a chance to shine in a different, more positive way this time around, and gives the players more reasons to feel a bit more mixed about Sage rather than automatically just seeing her as 'crazy psycho who choked me out because she thinks I may have killed her brother (which MAY not be true at all)". it certainly gives some of my Bearers more grounded reasons to be a little patient and understanding with her this time around.
And yes, the image of her doing the action was pretty cute, though the question remains just what exactly was going through her mind when a Bearer didn’t shy away from her and even tried to engage her in a friendly conversation.
I don’t know; in the old version of the demo, it seemed that Calypso and Adonis were pretty receptive if the Bearer expressed interest in them, just in their own way.
With Calypso, there were those surprising moment of shyness when the Bearer complimented her on her looks or or talked about how glad they were to have her around. But then there were also those moment of boldness from her, from the playful way she pretends to shoot a arrow and the way she dares the Bearer to go through with the kiss with just a look. And even with that blend of fierceness and friendliness constantly in play in her interactions with the Bearer, I loved those hints of gentleness with her, like how her eyes soften if the Bearer does kiss her or how she tenderly squeezes their hand (for me, moments of gentleness speak quite a number of volumes about a person who is a warrior, especially when we add in the fact that she is a daughter of Ares). And it’s utterly hilarious to just hear Calypso talk about how she’s glad that Bearer was on her team, stating that ‘It’d be awkward if she had to kick their ass’ (interesting way of saying you like having them around, Cally ).
(If it hasn’t been noticed yet, I completely ADORE Calypso . I could probably write a novel about the many reasons I came to love this character so much, but I’ll just get into detail about it if someone asks).
With Adonis…well, on one hand he clearly knows how to use charm to his advantage and it shows when he starts teasing the Bearer when they ask about the girl in his room. But at the same time, there’s this certain amount of uncertainty in play when the Bearer is involved. He gets quite easily jealous of the Bearer dancing with one of his friends and seems to experience a good deal of hesitation to completely follow up with his usual flirting strategies. Something about the Bearer seems to be throwing him off his game, so I’m certainly not expecting him to be able to be completely smooth during his flirting with the Bearer…because he’s doesn’t even seem certain what kind of relationship he wants with a Bearer that’s interested in him.
Though it honestly did amaze me how aware the two of them were if the Bearer was interested in them; like I really want to know what kind of expression the Bearer had on their face that tipped off them that the Bearer was curious about them. I’ve always gotten this funny image that when Calypso looked back at them with a smile, the Bearer quickly tried look in some random direction to hide the fact they were watching Calypso the whole time and to hide the blush that her smile caused. But it wasn’t quick enough and Calypso caught sight of that blush and that peaked her curiosity toward them even more.
Not too surprised about Donny noticing the Bearer was likely attracted to him though; he’s clearly got a lot of experience when noticing when someone is taking a interest in him.
I think you need a certain amount of Allure to be charming with her.
