I would recommend getting it in the FAQ. Which is more reliable for getting information from than bugpost. Seriously, that way anyone who knows about requirements would know about bug.
Me neither. I’m getting art of Adonis and my Bearer done right now, and she was happy when I asked permission and told her abt it :~)
It would be great to put the bugs and the fan stuff in the FAQ but we need ashestoashes018 to edit the FAQ post and put the answers there.
I don’t know if this have been reported of if it even is a bug. But are your chosen team mate supposed to say anything once you split the team in two?
I simply ask because the “I try to rationalize there is no way we are doing that.” option doesn’t make a whole lot sense for the situation. Then again, it is greyed out for me, and the section is unfinished.
Still thought I would say something, just in case somebody is supposed to suggest something? Don’t know if I missed anyone saying something about this before. If so, sorry. ’
I will probably have to clean up a lot first but I will get around with it, eventually :0 I just don’t really have time to write nowadays because of works aha |D (and you do? :000 I’m more active on my side blog than my main aesthetic blog though :9)
Do general Laveis, potoot, can do it. Yes, I can but what if no ifs
Okay but goddamnit self
This one is a bit angstier than the other one due to their personality nature. They’re brooding Lavei but they’re nice to anyone they can and surprisngly, or not, crave affection from their family. Though, they still act a bit discreet towards others since they don’t trust anyone yet, they’re trying to do that, really.
Cool well done… I wish I had Your talent to do a Mara one.
So cool! ^0^ I love aesthetics like this. All of them are so well-done! Makes me want to make one for my own MC.
This just crossed my mind, but how do you guys think some of the Primordial Gods like Nyx, Eros, and the others view the Bearer and Bestower? After all, the Essence kind of comes off as something akin to the source of life itself (even as Bearer and Bestower) so wouldn’t that mean that it played some role in their own existence in the world.
I can’t help but wonder if the Bearer/Bestower shares some type of history with them as well, and if some of them may view the Bearer as something closer to what they themselves are than what the Greek Gods are (maybe even feeling a stronger sense of kinship toward the two halves of the Essence, not being as fearful toward them as some of the Greek Gods may be, and having their own ideas about what is good for the Bearer and Bestower).
The Essence was the result of singular pulses of energy converging into one. It then turned into the source of absolute power in the Universe. The Essence then created six sources of life and was transferred into them equally. Those six original sources were the first Gods and Goddesses born from primordial Chaos, Chronos, and Anake. They were; Gaia (Mother Earth), Chaos the Second (Embodiment of the gap between Heaven and Earth), Uranus (Father Sky), Tartarus (Son of the monster Typhon), Eros (Desire and attraction) and Nyx (Personification of the Night).
Rohie mentioned we’d meet Nyx, though she placed a particular emphasis on children of Hades . I wonder whether we’ll meet the others. If they do make an appearance though, I’m certain they won’t have been robbed of their agency. I hope we don’t meet Tartarus, lmfao. All tht comes to mind RN, is how Eros might react to a very alluring Bearer.
Smth unrelated I’ve been wondering abt is, if we choose to enter into a love triangle and carry tht through to the ‘confrontation’, will we still be able to be friends with the RO we rejected?
I think that Rohie’s going let the drama bomb fall if it’s going to fall – but I do think friendship is likely. I’m not sure how that’s going to work coding wise though, at least if time will allow for that sort of branching.
If ever, it seems like Adonis and Santiago might be the primary offenders for most easily jealous and maybe volatile?
Since we’re on fanstuff: any songs or themes or something musically oriented that reminds you of CotG?
Jokes on Nyx then; my Nyx is Zeus’ daughter .
I kind of bring this up because, in a weird, I feel like the Essence may have more in common with the Primordial Gods than with the Greek Gods themselves. At least, after rereading the history of the Essence, that’s the impression I’ve gotten.
I imagine a meeting with Eris, the Goddess of Discord, will be…chaotic. Yet, for some reason, I feel like she’d decide to meet the Bearer face-to-face just to make the Greek Gods anxious.
Hard to say. I mean if the Bearer was intentionally playing with the feelings of the two ROs, they shouldn’t be surprised that the friendship with the rejected RO or even both of the ROs in general will very likely become effectively strained. But if attracting both of them (or maybe just one) had been accidental and the Bearer does their best to be gentle about turning the other down, the friendship may be a little awkward for a little while, but the bond will ultimately prevail in the end. It may all come down to how close the Bearer is with both ROs, their personality, and how they handle the situation.
the Bearer’s Theme to their vague role in prophecy (and Priscilla’s possible hopes for her child, even while knowing of the prophecy):
The Bearer’s Theme when something magical/awe-inspiring is happening due the Bearer’s actions or things have become calm/intimate with another character:
How the Trials will likely bring out both the good and bad of the Hero Candidates (the Bearer possibly included):
I’m not familiar with coding @ all, so I can’t comment on tht.
I’m fairly certain Adonis is going to be one of the more jealous ROS, we’ve talked abt it innumerable times :~) (but he’s still my favourite topic of discussion LMAO). I’m not sure whether we know enough abt Santi yet to be drawing those conclusions, but for someone that seems so outwardly self assured, jealousy should be interesting. I wonder, since Santiago doesn’t seem very close with the Scooby Gang, with the exception of Saint, will he spend more time with them if you date him and are close to them?
I love Frank Ocean, and I was listening to him the first time I played this so it’s hard for me not to associate the two with one another now.
Slide on me, Frank Ocean (this reminds me of MC’s time as a runaway)
Nikes, Frank Ocean
Solo, Frank Ocean (fitting if you have a MC that wants nothing to do with any of this, TBH)
Ivy, Frank Ocean (unrequited love, because the love triangles are something I’m really excited to see play out, this one is my favourite)
I think you’d have to have a relationship stat that’s rather high in order to pursue a romance anyway, so the Bearer would likely be pretty close to ROS prior to the confrontation regardless, right? I don’t think they’d refuse to be friends with you on the grounds tht you weren’t close enough, is what I’m trying to get @. Ah, I don’t doubt we’ll be given the option to consciously toy with someone’s feelings , but I don’t think we’ll be unaware as Rohie mentioned that it’d be difficult to do. Anything of the sort would be intentional, I think. Yikes.
What do you mean by more in common :~0? Prnslly, something I really hope will be explored in the next update is the Essence frm a technical standpoint. Rohie mentioned that it was a little paradoxical in nature, you are all powerful, but there are limitations. What are your limitations? Your ineptitude seems to be @ the forefront right now, but you’re going to be able to overcome tht, right? Something particular that’s really been bothering me is whether or not the MC can bend the fabrics of time, and if so, doesn’t tht solve a number of our problems already? Though I supposed we don’t know what kind of an impact doing smth like that would have. Ah, I remember Rohie mentioned a maana system and your body’s resistance to the essence so there’s that, I suppose.
On an unrelated note, I’m really interested in what strategies y’all are going to use in the trials and why, so I thought I might put a poll up.
Bearer 1, mage and child of Hades, Nadira, is playing as an Honourable Hero because she thinks that since this appears to have ‘worked’ for Aeson thus far, it’s in her best interests to come off as trustworthy, too. Bearer 2, warrior and child of Zeus, Abeerah, is a team player because she thinks it’ll be easiest to play to her strengths tht way and that attempting to go it alone with no prior working knowledge of anything is only going to ensure that she dies super painfully.
- Cunning Competitor
- Team Player
- Lone Lavei
- Honorable Hero
True the ROs wouldn’t likely reject friendship since they’d probably have to feel pretty close to the Bearer for a confrontation with a rival for the affection starts. But if they realized that the Bearer was just playing with them or wasn’t truly taking their feelings seriously? You can beat that staying friends would be difficult for them. Heck, even Adonis seems to makes sure that who he pursues in his latest conquests isn’t actually one of his friends to make sure things can’t get potentially awkward (possible because of a harsh lesson on the matter in one of his past conquest).
Yeah; @Rohie did confirm that the Bearer couldn’t be oblivious about the romantic moments triggered, so any love triangle that comes around is mostly their own fault for leading the ROs on for too long, it seems.
Honorable Hero: Evander (Poseidon), Mia (Poseidon), and Pan (Zeus).
Evander may be laid-back ans soft-spoken, but he isn’t the submissive type and will stand firmly to do the things he believes in with a surprisingly powerful voice and presence.
Mia is very take charge about a lot of things and won’t back down from from a new challenge. She believes that they all need to keep in harmony if they’re going to make it through the Trial and is willing to prove she’s capable to do with the others.
Pan is a natural leader in every sense of the word and easily takes to being a leader. Plus, he’s not too confident in the other three’s ability to be leaders, seeing how easily they fought among each other.
Team Player: Echo (Poseidon), Damon (Hades), and Nyx (Zeus).
Echo has never been one to take the lead, but they are a hard worker if they agree with their current leader’s ideals and motives (they’re more of a protector than a leader).
Damon doesn’t really care enough to add extra stress on himself, but if he likes the group he’s part of enough, he’ll offer just enough of his Strength and Wit to get them out of their problems (besides, he’s not the type to set himself up as a example of virtue).
Nyx is a really kind, supportive person by nature (even with her biting sarcasm), and doesn’t mind stepping away from the spotlight to put her skills to more practical use (in fact, she’s not too keen about being in the spotlight in general).
Generally team player and honorable hero too. I have a few lone MC’s though (but mostly that’s because trust is very hard for them all things considered)
No surprise I’m going for either Lone Lavei or Cunning Competitor, more likely to be cunning competitor as that means less reliance on my mc’s own horribly un(der)trained “powers” and more on hopefully using his wits in order to “cheat”.
Lone Lavei for my Nyx.
The Cunning Competitor sounded like you would have to take immoral choices and since my Nyx by nature is non-confrontative, and doesn’t have any beef with the demi-gods (Unless they are named Saint or Sage) nor want to win the competition but just keep in it untill a better option shows itself, she has no desire to actually sabotage the others. She is also a loner by nature and proud of her self reliance.
As a player I don’t like being locked into a moral path, so Lone Lavei sounded the most flexible.
Ah, so Honorable Hero and Team Player seem to be the most popular ones. That’s interesting, I thought Lone Lavei would be a great deal more popular.
So, with reference to the doves mentioned in the prophecy, I was very curious abt that line’s possible connotations and doves as a symbol.
And blame not only them for the death of the Dove
But the one who chooses, above all else, love.
O.K
The use of a dove and olive branch as a symbol of peace originated with the early Christians, who portrayed the act of baptism accompanied by a dove holding an olive branch in its beak and also used the image on their sepulchres.
Christians derived the symbol of the dove and olive branch from Greek thought, including its use of the symbol of the olive branch, and the story of Noah and the Flood. Although Jews never used the dove as a symbol of peace, it acquired that meaning among early Christians, confirmed by St Augustine of Hippo in his book On Christian Doctrine and became well established.
Saint’s name is short for St.Augustine .
By the fifth century, Augustine of Hippo wrote in On Christian Doctrine that, "perpetual peace is indicated by the olive branch (oleae ramusculo) which the dove brought with it when it returned to the ark
And Olive trees are often associated with Athena, who was mentioned by Saint to be incredibly protective of the people she cares abt, to the point of it being something of a fatal flaw so I think ‘but the one who choose above all else, love’ is referencing her.
I think, that Saint is the dove or am at least certain that he’s in some way irrevocably tied to the dove. It’s interesting to note that doves are also often associated with Aphrodite, the goddess of love.
What is the dove representative of? Peace seems like the most in your face conclusion to come to, but then it seems too predictable to be likely. The death of the dove, the death of peace? The catalyst to the war?
Doves have also been evocative of messengers, so perhaps this might also be referencing the ‘Between’ i.e Hermes who is definitely not @ all suspicious.
Hippo in Spanish is an animal so sorry I just imagined a river happy hipo as a saint scholar … Sorry
“Saint Augustine of the Horses”
He’s horseboy now, ehh?
Ah yes, back to the “will Saint die” theory :))
My personal scrutiny though for the prophecy lies here:
And blame not only them for the death of the Dove
But the one who chooses, above all else, love.
So whoever kills the “dove” – regardless if it is indeed Saint, or if figuratively speaking, peace – it seems that there will be more than one person. We know that the traitor god is close with Athena given the prologue, so she may be culpable. It also doesn’t help that Athena is close with Priscilla so you know very well that she could very much be that last line (as you’ve pointed out)
In any case, likely we’re looking at 2 people who will be (directly) liable for the death of the dove
