The only solution would be to change the conditions of how the Essence is contained, so that it more resembles “Only humans get the Essence, but once they have it, all gloves are off.”

Of course that again begs the question why our previous incarnations have never been able to make themselves immortal with it or even prevent themselves from “burning out” before their 19th birthday?

Still if we need the Gods “immortality” at first the implication is still that such stuff, the good stuff will still take us hundreds or thousands of years to learn or figure out.

Will you kill the vessel currently containing our former boyfriends soul (assuming some sort of re-incarnation cycle exists) just to “bring him back” or will you contend yourself with another soul in our old boyfriends “resurrected” body meaning you’d essentially have a stranger wearing his face and form?

There were supposedly Bearer’s that did grew older as 19, but they probably didn’t reach the full potential of their powers, because they didn’t know they had it.

Well, unless @Rohie is really changing Greek mythology, there shouldn’t be any reincarnation cycle (aside from for us, that is), and so he’d be in the Underworld. And I happen to know a guy who works there, and who may end up owing me a few favours by the end of this.

The MC’s old incarnations didn’t know. In the flashback, Korina and Leon didn’t know until it was far too late and they were thrust into war, and that was thousands of years ago. If the Bearer and the Bestower have ever been in a part of the cycle in which they knew they had powers long before their 18th birthday, they would lack the knowledge.

Plus now I get to be a shape-shifter, yay. I’ll be perfect.

@ParrotWatcher isn’t one of the possible things in the underworld to request reincarnation, like requesting Elysium? And a amnesia river (Lethe) for it? And why are you trying to bug Thanatos, Charon and Hades?

No, my mc wouldn’t be as to take them would mean a continued association with Olympus and his taller and more perfect “brothers” for practically eternity. Plus 18 is not the age I wouldn’t want to be frozen at until the world ends.
Also my mc is never, ever going to become one of those so-called “seekers”.

Oh no, I’m sure you’d find a way to channel your powers, but I’d imagine yours would be much more subtle. Like you can go and basically control people using your natural charisma and stuff. You’d have every single power the Olympians have, but on steroids. You will have all the powers of your first manifestations the Primogenitors and all the powers of the Titans.

You can do whatever you want if you put your mind to it.
