Children of the Gods (Important poll #12306)

Hops on a segway. Moving on, so basically I’m looking through and I find this line interesting, “Your fellow counsellors” and it is a he, so it cannot be one of the Trinity, because they are a different entity. So the male gods in the council are Ares, Apollo, Hermes, and Hephaestus.

Any thoughts?

O, I’ve always suspected Hermes has been a bad, bad god. No one universally beloved will ever not be a little evil.

As well as for all the points elucidated so eloquently here:

…sooo weird theory with not much to back it up incoming: It’s Hermes. Everybody likes him and none suspect him to plan against the other gods. Of course he wants MC to stay alive, otherwise he wouldn’t be able to bring them to Cronus. Also he is the messenger of gods, sometimes described as rather cunning; who else could better to manipulate what the gods end up knowing about MC’s location as him? Another interesting detail is that the possession seemed to have a worse influence on Saxon as it had on the others, and the reason is through the connection to his father (okay, maybe Priscilla was talking metaphors when saying she felt Cronus influence…or she was literal and Hermes source is polluted by Cronus influence). Also, sacrifice and murder in the own family sounds rather classical for greek drama. And just think how that would impact Sage…DRAMA!!! (And character development) My first bet is on Hermes.

Our fair author’s response to such slander of the fleet-foot?

@Sammysam and @Quaintrelle :expressionless:
On the subject of a murderer amongst us…anyone else now have a rapid heartbeat, bloody lip-biting Lavei that is obsessing over the opportunity missed whilst on the way to Nephlim’s domain to hurl Exhibit A, your honor–Saxon’s dagger into the Aegean, as now it must be in the possession of the demis, even if the inventory text says different? Unless, they never checked our socks under which it was strapped? Because that would just be lucky, albeit bad hygiene?

we never got rid of Saxon’s knife before passing out and ending up in the hospital so the healers should have found it which should make things awkward depending on whether you kill him or not.

Hermes is the most often mentioned suspect around here and makes the most sense as he’s likely the one who is supposed to be overseeing the Seekers in the first place on the other hand that might also make him too obvious a target which leads me to my next best suspect, Apollo, pretty, perfect golden-boy Apollo. Pollo could also have backup from his sis, in which case we had better watch our backs since we’re in her trial now.

Well my mc doesn’t frigging care, offing Saxon was self-defense plain and simple and that dagger doesn’t even begin to amount to adequate compensation for the pain and grief those packs of little killers have caused him.
If they won’t accept self-defense then my mc could always finally snap while on “trial” and since “queen Theresa” is immune from any prosecution or persecution…

Hermes like traitor and that it would be so damn obvious. He is the patron deity of THIEVES MERCHANTS AND CHEATERS GAMBLERS the god of lies and speechcraft. And my favorite god and Maras after Eris Mara is a Eris follower .
I don’t belive he is the main traitor he is a shifter ready to backstabbing and betray his supposed friends in seconds. The big BETRAYER has to be someone that is really convincedhe she is doing the right thing and being fanatical about it like a lawful evil. Hermes is pragmatic and cinical he gives a crap about fate he is for the gain. So is damn clear CHIPMUNK. IS THE DAMN BETRAYER EVEN WORSE IS THE AVATAR OF CHRONOS CONTROLLING THE HUNTER

Gonna be with the small minority in the corner over here that thinks the traitor is Hades. Honestly I love him, I just don’t trust him…

Hades and Athena are obviously planning something the question is what.

But wouldn’t that be obvious too? I mean, he has always been portrayed as an outcast so…where would be the shock in it? I mean, I thought about it but quicly disregard it, at some extent I even agree with Mara that Harris might be the inside chipmunk, sorry, the inside asset But as for the Gods? I’m torn between Aphrodite, Athena , although it might just be my hatred towards her, and Demeter, 'cause anyone who hugs me deserves my utmost distrust. .

A coup, perhaps? Maybe Zeus has reigned for far too long…

A coup among the Olympians would be too good of an opportunity for Chronos to pass up.

Well that prophecy does supposedly say we’ll be on granddaddy’s side no matter what, which is why so many people on Olympus treat us like crap and that can be interpreted in a lot of ways, including us destabilising Olympus enough for a coup to take place.

It never said we would do it willingly tho.

If Hades is the one doing the coup my mc definitely isn’t going along willingly, come to think of it he isn’t going along willingly at all so far and if Chronos is just as bad as the Gods, as he sure seems to be right now then my mc is just an unwilling participant in all of it full-stop, no matter whose side they technically place him on.

See that’s the thing with prophecies: they can be interpreted in different ways. The prophecy doesn’t explicitly say that the MC is going to join Kronos willingly but there is the option to if the MC wants to. Prophecies basically set up big life changing choices. Like do we side with Kronos willingly or we forced to against our will? That I think should be a key choice.

My thoughts on the prophecy:
"Look into the eyes of black
For when you do, my reasons will no longer lack.
And when your Heroes seek allies isolated by hate
Beware the opening of the gate. [This part sounds too much like the hunters to not be the hunters, but who’s reasoning is in question here? The Prophet’s? The one who has taken control over them? The gate to where? Tartus?]

When he has the Essence by his side [We already know who the Essence is referring too, but who is “he”? Cronus? Zeus? Whomever can get the Essence on their side? He can be anyone at this point, everyone is just assuming Cronus.]
They will create a great divide.
And when you see that there is no truth in your belief [Prophet already stated everyone has their own view of what is good and what is evil, what is right and what is wrong in the war, and their downfall will be their lack of empathy to the others beliefs (I also think the Traitor is Ares).]
Look to the Between, for they are the source of your grief. [Tartus(?) is the literal between so I wonder if that’s why it’s capitalized, but Athena is also going between the Council and Pan and causing much grief in the process. Wasn’t she also trapped in Tartus?]

And blame not only them for the death of the Dove
But the one who chooses, above all else, love." […Athena? Hades? Us? The Great Prophet? It would be interesting if the dove we encounter was either our mother or a way for our mother to keep tabs on us. The Dove could also be what it often is: symbolism for peace. To me this is the most important line in the prophecy as there are two hinted at culprits, which makes me think both Athena for “the death of the Dove” and Hades for ultimately choosing “above all else, love” (love for whom, I wonder; Athena? Us? The Bestower, who is his own son? All the above?]
So i keep trying to get a Child of Zeus thing but even when my allure is the highest and I kill Saxon, I keep getting Poseidon. Is there something I’m missing here?

It’s a bug that should be fixed in the next update

Thanks. Another bug is in the prologue. after choosing guys as a gender it still makes you a girl

Actually, while it redirects you to female names you keep the male pronouns o.o That’s what happened to me anyway.

It goes neutral>guy>girl but you keep your actual gender.

Just dropping by to tell the author @Rohie that I’m immensely enjoyed playing his/her game. Seriously, I did not expected to enjoy this much. I passed over this game for about five times and even started playing but dropped about two/three pages in. I was just not interested anymore in Greek Mythology and Young Demigods. Rick Riordan scrathced that itch some few years ago and I eventually I ended outgrowing it.

But I ended up giving another chance to this game and while I found the begging a chore ( I was still asking why I was playing this) by the time the hoodeds figures appeared and I saw a could kick one of them in the groin I started to laugh real hard. I know it is dumb but this option right here was the hook to all the journey this game would take me.

By the time I was at setting temporary and permantly stances to how I would react to the world, the gods and the demigods ( A mechanic that I really, really, reaaally liked) I was completely hooked.

Hooked is not enough, I got addicted to this(It’s like I’m playing Guenevere or Monsters or Choice of Robots or Thin Star for the first time again!) I missed sleep playing this in fact I should be sleeping right now, I have to delivery an important college work tomorrow ( it’s past midight so today) but I’m writing this and I can’t stop complinenting it.

So I’m going to cut this shortly.

Great job, I really mean it.

Greetings from a drepived from sleep huezillian.
