Children of the Gods (Important poll #12306)

All the main characters are the same age as MC.

I’m to lazy to do the math…Can Saint even be MC’s brother without being their twin then? (It’s late I looked at many numbers today, excuse my lazyness please) (And didn’t we suspect Priscilla dying while/after giving birth to MC? That would make him being the younger sibling rather unlikely too…)

Why do I hate him? Geez, where do I start? Is it the fact that he kidnapped my MC? Or is the fact that he dares to fancy himself my best friend like nothing happened? Or maybe it’s his space issues, like, WHO SAID YOU COULD BLOODY TOUCH ME? And on top of that, he is our goddamn brother. He is annoying as it is, last thing my MC needs is an idiot trying to form a “brotherly bond”. Which is why I wanna kill him and be like “Am I my brother’s keeper?”

They could be Irish twins maybe. Even though this is Greek.

Faaaair lol. Do you hate Calypso too then?

That chariot scene with the arm was awkward. I wanted to shrug him off but am always kinda worried about it like, what if I miss out on a cool character scene because I didn’t want to embrace a stranger? Besides that one scene, though, he always seemed kinda indifferent to the MC and easy to avoid. As far as I could tell.

(Thanks for answering! Good luck with your fratricide ambition.)

If he was born at least a month prematurely, but I think half-twin is the most likely.

@Baam: Yes, the thread’s pretty much argued about that in its entirety (again, and again), but why would his being our (half-)twin make it worse for you?

Yeah, someone already brought that up…long ago. Both is possible and I serious have no idea what would be more likely/unlikely or easier to explain ingame.

So for now I say age is irrelevant because it was time magic.

Nah, personally I’m with those that say MC shared a womb with him and that this is the reason for his rather uncommon haircolor.

I actually had that exact theory a few months ago, and Rohie shot it down, saying it was way more dramatic and interesting than what she came up with lol

That’s the part where my mind and my MC’s mind infuse. I have a twin sister, who I love with my life and luckily we are super close, but I’ve always told her that if she had been a guy, we’d probably not be. Why? Cause I know how to look out after a sister, but not how to look out after a brother. So Saint is pretty much a literary patsy for my hatred towards my non-existent brother…It made so much more sense in my head.

Actually I don’t. I mean, I don’t trust her but I wouldn’t hurt her if I can avoid it… probably.

Also if you account for leap years, it is entirely possible that Saint and Bearer are Irish twins, which is what I lean towards.

Especially so, since Saint could EASILY have been born a few weeks early and remained perfectly healthy–and that’s assuming he was fully human, which he’s not. Who knows if the gestation period for a demigod is even a full 9 months? Lmfao

Never.

Such a tease.

Eh. You also asked a great question, why Priscilla, and why children from potentially two different gods in succession? It would be far more compelling and sensible a thing if Saint was the backup Laveiby in case the ritual became unpredictable and went awry…or, taken further, what if we had been the jic. {cue heavy piano chords and Saint’s pervasive overcompensation of inadequacy}

And now that I’ve bruised my tailbone on that last trip down the rabbit hole…

Well, I’m pretty close to both of my (non-twin) brothers, no matter how annoying they may be, so I guess that’s why I find it so much easier to stand Saint.

Really? She’s certainly been cagey about whether he’s actually Zeus’ son, or indeed a demigod, for that matter, whenever I mentioned it.

That’s still only an extra day, so he’d still have been at least a month premature. So, possible, but (half-)twins seems more likely to me.

Which part of the theory did she shot down? Both or just the Saint is a mortal part? Or the Saint is MC’s twin part?

It’s actually roughly 3 extra days.

Fun fact, my mum was born at like 27 weeks and fully survived waaaay back in 1973. She’s in medical journals!

So it is enitrely possibly that he was born a mite early. I lean towards Irish twins, because Rohie has p much confirmed Saint is a demigod, bc I specifically asked, several months ago, if he was just adopted by Zeus out of pity. He was not. So he’s got power n shite.

So you must have two differing fathers…

The onky other possibility is that, if your father isn’t Zeus, you and Saint are full twins, sharing Possy or Hades, but Zeus is, for some reason, hiding that fact.

Both would be great that way Saint can have that cursed essence, fight the God’s battles for them and wither away like a husk and my mc can be done with Olympus for good.

Sorry where did she say that? In the super secret beta tester thread? Or here?

Essence can’t be transferred like that.

Here. Months ago. I was spinning my own theory about Saint’s birth and how he was actually a mortal accident baby, twins with bearer, and Zeus adopted him so Priscilla would shut up or w/e (can’t remember my exact reasoning), so he actually wasn’t powered

And Rohie said i was p much 100% wrong. Doesn’t mean she hasn’t changed it w her edits tho

Spoken like a true child of Hades. :smirk:

How? Where do the other two come from? I mean, I know this doesn’t matter, because as you said, for premature babies, a month is not unusual, and he’s probably our twin anyway, but I still need to know…

Also, I don’t suppose you have a link to @Rohie’s post on the issue of Saint’s heritage, do you?

Then I remember…I did interpret her words differently though…

And I think she did joss the Irish twins idea only… (post 4755 (url) or post 4711 when using the side bar)

I’m working on finding it. Three extra days for the year of birth ('98, right?) Then 2004 then 2008. Oh, shit. Then 2012. Another extra day. So actually 4.

And im working on finding the link. I have something like 300 posts on this thread. Bear with me. Y’all could search too if ya care that much :stuck_out_tongue:

Ugh, sorry, i meant for 2000. I only got an hour sleep last night, and I’ve been working all day. Don’t mind me…(if my sleep-deprived math is correct each leap day causes a difference in age. Probably isn’t because i’m crap at math but whatever. I’m going to sleep byeeeeeee)
