Children of the Gods (Important poll #12306)

I chose to say the same thing for Calypso. Since my MC enjoyed running away from the Seekers and thought it was a thrill, I’m gonna give him a combative side despite choosing to be moral and generally friendly and whatnot. Friends can be rivals and vice-versa

Mine hated seekers for what she suspected happend to her “Aunt” but the thrill of the run was enjoyable as well. She didn’t kill the one on the roof but let Saint know how she felt about the seekers. She is a warrior as well and doesn’t necessarily hold a grudge against Calypso. It was a good fight. I’m definitely hoping she will have an amazing rematch with her later.

Ah, mine’s a magician so it’s more about outwitting his opponents I guess :stuck_out_tongue:

Calypso? Heart eyes over Adonis? I am rolling in my grave. I guess now would be a good time to explain some things, but I have to resist, because, uh, spoilers.

Also, more insight on Calypso: She basically believed for years that you were killing her friends. Where she got this information? Demigods who needed someone else to blame for their anger. She held this insane torch of pure anger against you for years, to say the least. She finally gets a chance to confront you, then you get away and go on some hoop-dee-doo with Saint, of all people. You arrive at Olympus, and Saint tells her that you’re actually not a cold blooded menace. She now basically has to throw away all her dart boards with your face on it. Saint seems to think Cal is okay, that might be a basis for my MC to reconsider

I think you’re in the minority who actually likes Saint? [quote=“Prof_Chaos, post:784, topic:15482”]
Spoiler: it turns out there was a mix up at the hospital; your father is actually Odin.

Considering making this canon.

Did our MC just become Ragnarok?

Actually I quite like him too.

And he has managed to kinda impress my character as well. I mean for three years, groups of seekers were sent after her, and none of them either thought or managed to start a single conversation with the MC.

He has also given her more information about the gods and Olympus than she ever had before. So sure, he was a little expeditious with the identity of the individual who placed the blocker on us, and rushed us “home” but beyond that, my character is grateful for how open and honest he seems to have been with her in general. And honesty seems to be a very rare thing in world where everybody wants control of you.

So until further notice, he is good in my books.

Saint started with “We don’t want to fight you”, which earns him major points with me. Talk first, aggressive negotiations later.

I think she will hate my character then, because he killed that guy who was trying to murder him.

I must ask, why killing that guy in self-defense gives you immorality? Its not like my character enjoyed doing that.

So you’re saying Calypso wouldn’t go out with the protagonist if he(I played as the male so im not trying to exclude other genders) killed the brown-haired seeker in the 2014 flashback, true or false because that seeker knew he had to die.:smiling_imp:

I’m not sure the brown haired Seeker was actually a Seeker, actually. I mean, he and his companions were being described as looking and acting different from normal Seekers (not wearing hoods, for once), and the way the brown haired seekers eyes were described makes me think he’s working for whatever enemies the Gods currently have, as does the fact he call the main character weak for not killing him (I mean, he could also just be a jerkass son of Ares who takes a lot after his father, but I don’t find that likely).

@Rohie
Will the MC be able to get a pet?
Does the Institute have a no pets policy?
For some reason I really want the MC to have a pet Strix, aka a vampire owl.

Tbh, I killed the brown haired seeker because I wanted to be the true Hades child.
Also if we can get pets, I would want my MC to have a hellhound or miniature version of Cerberus.

On the topic of killing the brown haired seeker, my MC killed him not out of hate or self-defense, but out of self-preservation.
As he was the only one of his group to catch up with her, she sees him as the main threat and if he caught up to her once, he can do it again. So following this logic, the only options are to cripple him or kill him and because he could be magically healed the only option left is to kill him.

The killing-or-sparring Saxon dilemma is the first of many branches. Expect major backlash in chapter 4 onward.

As long its not like: spare the guy who is trying to kill you --> everyone loves you.
Kill him --> everyone hates you.

I think the her, Squarelyblue talked about was the MC and not Calypso. ^^

I personally like Saint. ^^ My “main” MC is pretty much neutral towards him atm. Again…both he and Calypso made abysmal first impressions. :stuck_out_tongue: But from what I’ve understood of his character and personality so far, I think my MC can become pretty good friends with him when she gets to know him.

The whole “on the run for 3 years” have given my MC some slight trust issues but she tries to be logical about things, and is in general not a hateful person, or someone who’ll hold grudges forever…so she’ll eventually warm up to Calypso too.

That would make an infinite amount more sense. Thank you![quote=“Urban, post:803, topic:15482, full:true”]

It’s not like that at all. Basically, it’s just that you literally killed someone. Not that that’s such a taboo thing when you’re a Demigod, but still.

I actually like Saint as well he seems like a good guy

My MC feels similarly, though she probably won’t end up trusting anyone unless she feels like they’ve earned it.
