Children of the Gods (Important poll #12306)

A sequel? I know, like nothing LMFAO. I thought Rohie mentioned that there would be a book 1, 2 and 3 at most but it’s likely I’m misremembering, unless book 1 is supposed to be an end and 2 or 3 are supposed to be sequels ? Bearer gone rogue is fun to think abt, I’ll admit. If my MC had her way she’d go renegade and retire in Geneva as a humble cheese farmer :~)

@gia and @squarelyblue if I remember right when talking about parts rohie means more the different parts of the game not different games.

Found it:

So, no sequel planned for now.

Ah, thanks :~)! I was super confused.

She did mention. But she mentioned…ages ago :)) and now since she’s in the middle of rewriting things idk if that plan still stands. But @Sammysam says otherwise (and with quoted evidence).

Though if my MC’s could retire, probably in some small city/town. Like big enough to make sure they have constant wifi/internet access but small enough to be of no interest to a lot of people :))

Conversely, they might just go with obvious not obvious place to retire, just in case they get dragged back into Olympus drama. Like no thanks, one adventure is enough :))

I’m still open for the “destroy the universe to rebuild it better” kind of ending. Could be difficult to drag them out of their retirement in that case…

I just want for my MC’s to retire with LI of choice and live domestically happily ever after :)) like after all the fighting, they deserve the quiet — but pretty sure some peeps might disagree with that ending

This is cute ! I hope we have the option of availing an end like tht, it seems pretty likely :~) It’s only a little sad when you consider that the Bearer will be immortal.

Shhhhhhhh. We’ll cross that bridge when we get there. If the worst comes to pass, then “better to have loved and lost than to not have loved at all” or something like that :))

(or if there’s some other loophole again that allows LI to remain with MC forever, MC will take it otherwise they’ll just adopt Cerberus from Hades and have that as their companion forever)

(…actually I would honestly take my pet as a forever companion over a lover omg like if given the choice of choosing between my dog and boyfriend, I am sorry boyfriend goodbye…the dog stays)

You’re making quite a lot of assumptions here. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Ah, how come? I was under the impression that were you to win the trials, you’d be granted immortality :open_mouth:? Unless you don’t win the trials, which I suppose is possible though I’m not certain whether tht’s something you need to in order to move through the game? Assuming the gods told you the truth. Oop, is that the assumption LMAO

If I get that ending I will be very pissed. I didn’t fight to be a lame homework girl in a poor home in humanity lands probably destroyed due the titans war demons and their tendency to put volcanoes on and launching mountains like javelins to populated areas. Also deamons sirens and mythological creatures army …
I want be POWERFUL ETERNAL and have my noce throne in the Olympus while Aeson is playing to be A shield acting in films.

Nope like Hera has said “OR YOU WIN OR YOU DIE. IF YOU WIN YOU ARE IMMORTAL.”
However as immortal you could give immortality to another demigod i you win gods won’t be in position to argue.

And you trust her?

Who are you and what have you done with Mara? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Essentially, whether or not you were born a Demigod wouldn’t have changed anything about the prophecy. No matter what, the war will happen, the gods will be “divided,” due to a mysterious figure, and you will come face to face with Cronus.

How the gods predicted your birth as the Essence is something that is explained in the new intro, due to a character we finally get to learn more about. (!!)

Right now, if you’re someone who likes to guess the hidden plot within the plot or the big twist, the prophecy is probably the best bet. Only a few lines make sense right now, but the rest will eventually become a big “Oh, DUH. Why didn’t I think of that?”

Yes, i trust Hera dead threats she is a bitch however she has always try to fully fulfil them. Also fate is more powerful than gods in Greek mythology. So they all believe in your victory whatever handicaps you have.

When your heroes seek the truth told by the Fates
Beware the opening of the gates

Hmm, I don’t suppose this is meant to imply that we and the scooby gang, in our quest to “seek the truth” will somehow be involved in releasing Cronus?

Aren’t the gods already divided by the question of what to do with us? Though if some other person is somehow responsible for causing the divide, I imagine that would probably be Priscilla, whether the text refers to something she did in the past or something she will do.

What gang? My mc isn’t in any gang. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I wonder if Grandpa is actually evil. I mean sometimes he rules as a golden age of man… so far the only bad thing under his belt his eating his kids.

Ejem he ate his sons and treated as slaves is daughters and d wife. He was a complete asshole and a tyrant. Zeus is Gandhi in comparison.Zeus banged everything but doesn’t eat random people and that. Chronos is against humanity and destroyed the previous eras. So nope cannibalism grandpa is not good.

Kronos didn’t eat random people, he ate his kids who were specifically said to overthrow him. Kronos is the god of agriculture (it’s why he has a scythe) why would he be against humans? He’s said to bring the golden age of man anyway when they exist during his reign, ( sometimes humans don’t exist until the gods, and gods messed us up anyway with Pandora’s box as punishment for Prometheus, plus poor Prometheus in the first place was punished for helping us) Gaia ordered him to overthrow his father anyway because his father messed with her other children the cyclones.

Plus Zeus doesn’t treat everyone else like slaves? Like blatantly cheating on his wife{sometimes with his daughters}, never getting punished for it while they get divine wrath from Hera even if they were raped. And everyone has to do what he says if they don’t, fate worse than death.

So I definitely want to meet Grandpa before judging…

I just thought of something, if the essence is replacing Chaos, then aren’t we also Grandpa’s grandpa?

I mean after all the evils of man (pain, suffering, death) came from the gods not the titans.
