Really? I see it as that post number.
Perhaps this’ll help? It’s not formatted properly in the preview though
Don’t use the search bar, it works differently there XD
Replace 6590 with 6651 and you’re good to go.
The whole forum’s behind you, @Cecilia_Rosewood !
Found it. To me it shows up as post 6651 though.
That’s the number that shows up in the link as well. How odd.
Oh well, glad you found it.
…The more I hear about Santiago, the more positive I am about one thing that’ll happen in the Trial: Evander is going to punch him
. In fact, I think all my Poseidon Bearers will possible lose their temper with him.
Evander’s got a lot of patience and can deal with Saint’s nature; even if his remarks tend to tick Evander off on occasion, he’s aware that Saint isn’t really intending to insult him or start something (he will call Saint out on it if he feels it goes too far though). But if he’s going to be near someone who not only has a tendency to spout inconsiderate thing but is also arrogant, then his patience is going to be even less than ever and everyone in the group will get to know the more aggressive side of Evander after Santiago pushes him too far.
Mia would tolerate it with even less patience than Evander; she has no patience for arrogant guys and she’ll bluntly let him know that and refuse to interact with him unless she ABSOLUTELY had to. But she wouldn’t beat him up; she takes pride in her skills and wouldn’t see using any of her training on Santiago as worth her time.
Echo would just straight out give Santiago a beating after the first remark get made. They has no patience for arrogance and aren’t the type to for passive-aggressive verbal battles. You annoy them, then you’re going to get punched; simple as that (they’re the type that speaks strongly through their actions, since they’re not that expressive).
.
Looking at the names, we have two “saints” (Santiago/Saint Augustine).
And from what we’ve seen thus far, they ain’t no saints.
(I’m so sorry, I just had to do this)
I wonder if he’ll manage to get my MC that annoyed? (Although, if he’s a proper tsundere, rather than just an arrogant jerk, it might actually be required for romance.
)
I’m still trying to get caught back up with this thread, but I had to respond to this conversation.
As someone who has spent time “on the street” I gotta say this isn’t true. If you’re good looking or can pull off the wounded veteran look you can make just as much $ by asking for it (panhandling) in the same amount of time without the same risks. And so long as you stick with lower middle class homes that won’t likely have security systems, a traveling burglar would have little risk of being caught, and electronics are easy to pawn in just about every city. Most homeless who end up in prostitution do so for the “protection” a pimp promises, not the money.
Okay, that’s certainly a difference with the US underworld, due to all the regulations, EU or otherwise pawning seems to be a bit more difficult here, that said we recently had a small operator who could wipe and break the phones he stole himself and then sold them on the web (which was the part that proved his undoing), but he at least had a tiny apartment where he could stash his “tools of the trade” and have access to electricity and the internet. Whereas the fences and organized crime prefer to ship them to Turkey, Morocco or the Ukraine and do all the follow up work there, which makes the prices for fencing electronics, assuming one has the connections, pretty low here.
We don’t have “wounded veterans” begging on the streets, period. The real ones, who want to supplement their meager pensions and social security again tend to do so on the internet with sponsorship’s.
All in all prostitution is the easiest trap to fall into here, at least for runaway former (upper) middle class kids who don’t have or easily make connections with the local underworld, which is the domain of the lower and, believe it or not, upper classes.
But thank you for clearing this up, Mara and I were reasoning from our local, European knowledge and this makes me feel a tiny bit better about my mc at least, if in the US minors can pawn stuff easily enough to make the lifestyle of in itinerant home-invader possible and profitable enough then that is what I’d prefer, obviously. though it still doesn’t change the fact that while he was barely getting by on stolen cash, electronics and table-silver while everybody else was living lavishly on Olympus.
I suspected the American vs European background might be the issue. I suppose I should preface my previous post by saying my experiences are almost 15 years old, but small time pawn shops are still pretty common in the good old USA you just have to know where to look. No underworld connection required. You won’t get anywhere close to a fair price but it would be enough for a few good meals and a bus ticket to our next city.
Not to say this is a “better” choice then prostitution but it is a viable option for players who want an alternative head cannon.
Whereas here pawnshops are relatively scarce and have become scarcer still since the advent of eBay and the local knockoffs. Where they exist they have robust ID requirements and are riddled with cctv cams. Making the back-alley fence the go to guy, except those runaway middle class teens don’t know who and where to go to and if they need to stay on the run, like our mc, they won’t get the time to find our either since if you don’t have an easy “in” getting to know the local underworld here requires patience, lots of patience.
I think the one thing that likely is true in both cases is that, compared to 15 years ago, there is less cash to be easily found, both lying around in lower middle class homes and in the wallets you can pickpocket off of people on the streets.
(comes out of Go hell to visit the forum and sees 200+ replies — how long have I been gone has it been a 100 years omg)
If it’s not too late to join about MC meeting Priscilla (otherwise please ignore), personally I think that might head south very fast. Not necessarily with how they might interact with her – and at the very least, we know at least some MC’s here are going to be less than happy with her – but pretty sure the gods aren’t going to like this :))
Headcanonly as of now, maybe except for Poseidon, Zeus and Hades won’t be very pleased with Priscilla meeting MC. Hades might be the most displeased and least wanting MC to meet her – though I can also see him organizing the meeting, if just to be on the cautious side.
Kinda in the: “if you really want to meet your mother okay I will help but I have to be there because Olympus knows your penchant for trouble and will likely try to get in contact with her anyway”
Pawn shops in Spain are almost forbidden. Their law is so damn restrictive and the taxes so high that no one created a legal one. People used normally or the sell gold ruled by mafia shops or private contracts like you are a lawyer you know how terrible could be the interests and terms of private contracts between supposed equal private individuals. In Spain a guy during the crisis with laundry money in Ibiza gained only him several millions and properties lending money via private contracts. With a interest of devolution and delay like 40%. .
Prostitution in Europe is more or less legal in Spanish is just no regulated onli is forbidden the forced and the minors one. So in theory anyone could announce in a news adult section and sell their bodies legally you could do taxes and all perfectly legal. No need of being streets. So in Spain and I see same In Belgium and Holland is the best options of three. In fact internet cams are perfectly legal and profitable too. Weapons here are immediate illegal and founded except you are in a real mafia.
On a sidenote, doesn’t Calypso want to join Artemis’s hunters? If so, wouldn’t she be forbidden from engaging in romantic relations @ some point if she does join them? I’ve read that falling in love is completely forbidden, but also that it only applies to men. What if MC is romancing her? I wonder how that might work out.
Well that was talked like months ago and @Rohie won’t give us spoilers! But Caly suffered some stuff that makes her not romance anyone so someone has in my opinion breaking her hearth. Also Aeson issues… She is a teen. When teens break are so dramatic I will become Nun… I will never kiss a guy before … in Spain with our love for dramas and exaggerations are so common. Valy version is I will become a Hunter a badass warrior for ever penitent in my love… also hunters could felt affection for woman BUT NO SEX WITH THEM TOO. VIRGINITY WAS A MUST.
Affection’s different from romantic love though! I didn’t know Calypso had been through something like that
An unrequited crush with regards to Aeson that makes her never want to date anyone again? That seems mad dramatic, even for a teenager as you said but I doubt that’s what happened anyway. It’s interesting that she was going to kiss you at the dance, then. Why might she do that if she wasn’t interested?
I wondered about that too. I guess this is going to be the source of “drama” in her romance path.
Just like in Sage’s path we have the brother-situation. In Aeson’s route the biggest conflict is probably related to Essence/War (specially for the most extreme amoral MCs). As we commented before, Adonis will more or less freak out when your relationship gets serious. Etc. Etc.
Again, we don’t know much about Avery or Santiago but I’m sure they too will get their own “thingy” that will affect the relationship dynamics (and overall pump up the drama factor) as well as fleshing out their personality and backstory.
