I was actually wondering if this scene meant we prostituted.
You could honestly admit that life on the run… Changed me. I did things I wasn’t proud of, but I had to find a way to keep myself safe. That was the most important thing.

I think you can interpret it that way / it’s at least implied.
I am relax and not angry, I think it is an interesting discussion. What is stereotyped and what is not. Or it’s a race a gender or a sex attraction a genuine reason from banning them to be used as a joke? I have heard friends saying I was thinking including this fun character but I imagined him black … However people would calling me racist for it so I would use a white instead. Or some 70s movies used Transgender or gays as degenerated lame villains to make that generation people laughing about them. However that doesn’t mean that no black or latino could be portrayed as evil or bad is just it has to be some balance.
@Milk It is heavily implied however due minor stuff and that it is not said. You could imagine your character had a mary poppins bag full of money or something for three years. Or maybe she he they is a broker… or more logically or prostitution or drugg selling or something like smugglers. Because with no home and hiding being minor without tutor and being permanently persecuted by assassins there is no way of legal working

Ehh, I guess, but I don’t understand how prostituting is keeping us safe. If anything that puts us in danger, considering the way some prostitutes are treated in this world. I was just wondering though, so if that’s the implied way of saying it then so be it.

I haven’t played since the last public update, but wasn’t Santiago’s comment about using the MC as a meatshield? I would say human shield, but we aren’t technically playing a human. 
Anyways, please excuse my language, but Santiago honestly just seems to be an arrogant prick. That doesn’t have to anything to do with race, skin tone, or gender. Anyone and everyone is capable of being one. I’m sure we’ll be able to knock him down a peg or two, but right now he just seems to prioritizing his own success/survival over the others.
That’s the beauty of interactive fiction. You can fill in the blanks yourself. You could envision that your MC robbed, mugged people, shoplifted, gambled, smuggled, or whatever other seedy thing in order to survive and put food on the table.

If it makes you uncomfortable you also can just interpret it as the MC lying and breaking the law by stealing or burgle or just the Mc ending up clobbing other people to get their money, food, sleeping place whatever you want. It’s equally justified as other ways to interpret that sentence.

@poison_mara I said negatively portrayed Asian, not a racist stereotype. I mean an antagonistic figure who blatantly cheats on her husband and helped instigated a war seems pretty negative. I do not see Santiago as being stereotyped at all based on arrogance. And I see sarcasm in that scene anyway, I mean he mentions you being a shield specifically when he sees “your hesitance” pointing a finger at you and rolling his eyes.
- When Santiago sees your hesitance, he points a finger at you, rolling his eyes.
“Come on, bearer,” he calls out. “If there’s danger, we need you to be our shield.”
Plus even if he is serious you are a hero of prophecy who reincarnates even if you die.

@Lithophene It’s just a game…but i’m sure there still would be. Selling your body is some nasty shit. I know it’s a survival tactic and I respect people who do so but no one should have to do that in life.

Well there is people forced to it. And if you are hungry and need a flight or you would be slain in few hours you certainly would do whatever it takes to survive. That’s how life works . But like is all veiled you can imagine some sort of money spell in your mind and that’s all. The beauty of head cannon

Yeah i know. That’s so fucked up. I honestly couldn’t do that in real life though. I don’t care if my clothes were hanging off my body with no meat on my bones. I’d find a different way. The beauty of head canon? Haha! Is that were you change things that are canon?
I wonder if in the update when we fight we have the option to fight dirty. I mean real dirty even with a wit or allure based character, maybe during the on-the-run section that gives special in combat options but become less effective overtime if you use it consistently and not when needed.
Even if we don’t have that option, I can just imagine that look on an opponents face the first time you sucker punch them where it hurts. Now I want a miniature giant space hamster so I can tell it to go for the eyes.

Well I am a beta tester and even if I don’t know much further than no betas. All the info i have introduced the idea we could be pretty ruthless and use cheats and dirty tricks. Like probably be could sabotage people.
