Even with immortality Aeson himself (and perhaps that box too) still remains a piece of the power of the full essence that we’ll never get access too and without it/them we will likely never be fully omnipotent. Otherwise why would the Gods even risk dangling the price of immortality in front of face. Immortal or not, it’s highly likely that the box could still contain and imprison us.
I think that the Box is another piece of the essence that was stripped from us, likely containing the possibility to create and collapse (pocket) universes/dimensions.
I honestly don’t think so. (I’m also confused how it comes that we automatically just jump to the assumption that having the Essence equals omnipotence).
Yes, the Essence is the most powerful energy source in the universe, but it also seems to be limited. It can be seperated and Cronus even gave trouble to collect the pieces of the Essence from the other titans before creating the Bearer/Bestower. So the Bearer may be the most powerful being but their power is not infinit. They can do much, enough to seem for gods omnipotent but only similar like the gods are omnipotent in the eyes of mortals.
With a limited power source even when it’s very powerful it still is possible for the Bearer to hit the wall with it.
…Maybe the hibernation between rebirths is like a recharge sleep?
Well, the gods still could just kill Aeson to get rid of the Bearer. The immortality just stops that aging process. The Bearer is still not invulnerable alone for the connection to Aeson, who also becomes immortal together with the Bearer but doesn’t have their sheer power to defend himself.

No the immortality isn’t just stopping aging. Immortal keeps going on while your soul still having the source that feeds on. It was @Rohie said about gods.

So we never become a god in first place? Then we can’t win no matter what. I don’t want be human what’s the point of being immortal being human!
If we are human we aren’t omnipotent so we are doomed anywhere anyway no point in fighting really . My character would suicide
No god in the same sense like the other gods, no. MC needs the human vessel for their soul to stay in the world. They still can through the Essence become much more powerful as the gods and also the demigod part of them should work against the destructive effects of the Essence of the body if I understood that right.

Drat, so we will always be stuck in our “new” Demigod body, great.
An eternity of looking too much like “daddy” would be unbearable. Ugh, knowing where it comes from my mc absolutely hates his demigod part for being too much like “daddy” yet inferior to Aeson.
Well first order of business alter the laws of physics so that no surfaces reflect the Bearer’s image anymore. I mean if vampires can have no reflection… Or else find a way to revert to our old appearance at least, maybe we can re-activate that blocker spell or create something akin to it.
The second order would be figuring out a way to overcome the need for a human host body. Maybe try a sapient alien species to begin with and gradually tweak from there. There must be ways to undo what Cronus did there.

No aliens contact we can’t abandon earth.Also we will suffer a slow inevitable torture that will drive us insane. I read a scientific article about immortality that defended that not aging could be no far as we think. However our brain is not made to handle it our brain easily would collapse with time losing memories and part of whom we are. Boredom and being jailed in a small planet powerful to change anything except ourselves. TORTURE. Also maybe flu can kill us? Maybe is just no aging and a simple mosquito could wipe us.

Oh, but we can presumably alter the laws of physics enough to make Star Trek’s “Warp drive” a viable possibility and then we just help the humans “discover it” and presto, a way to leave Earth in our demigod host body.
Yeah, but are you sure there’s aliens? If they existed Gods already would banged them and playing with them no there are focused only here so we maybe only had time creating first creatures and that’s all Chronus intervention and there are no other creatures in rest of universe
Who says they aren’t? I mean it’s not like they bother to tell us anything.
Or possibly said creatures have their own “Gods” and they may be more forthcoming with the sort of info we need.
At the very least it’s likely there are other Earth like planets and we can at least see radically different human civilizations evolve to drive away the boredom for a while. If there aren’t any now then we just meddle with the laws of physics even more to also make the Drake equation be iron clad physics too and there will be some.
In a way, I think it is a good thing that we don’t become gods, and just become immortal.
First, Being immortal means we stop aging, but that we can die. People think it’s a limitation, but perhaps after centuries/milleniums, the Bearer will want to die, or to have a new start or something.
Also, the MC may not be omnipotent, but they will be almighty. So I imagine that we will be able to protect ourselfs from the gods trying to kill us. We could bath in the river Styx for exemple! 
Second, the gods are dependent on their sources. If we don’t become gods, we will not be tied to a source, and our continued existence will not be linked to said source! We will be the last ones standing! And should we choose to recreate the world, we would not perish in the process, but the gods would not survive the destruction of the source of their powers!
Your powers would still allow you to reshap your flesh and bones entirely, to look the way your desire. You would just not be able to alter the nature of your soul.

Exactly my point. It is a torture trap in a muddled jail. If my character is obliged to suffering that nightmare EVERYONE WILL SUFFERING THE SAME WITH ME ETERNAL PAIN FOR EVERYONE EVERYWHERE. SCREW UNIVERSE.
So or eternal suffering or suicide how wonderful options!! I LOVE IT NO PONY AND RAINBOW FOR ANYONE

What is? I am not sure what you are refering to.
Personally, I think it’s a good thing if we don’t become immortal. I’m not saying that I’ll get bored of it, eventually i’d get exhausted of going to funerals. Some may say “Then make them immortal as well.” Thing is, most people (generally) don’t want to become immortal.

People just don’t want to live forever because it really isn’t worth it. What you don’t achieve in your current life you can achieve in your next.

People who simply want to live, experience life, and grow old.
The best alternative would be using the essence to make us remember this life spent with the gods and even our other past lives if we want to. That way we’ll know what we’re capable of, have the information about the essence, and being tied to Aeson.

muddled jail = Gods earth . Torture eternity in a not designed for body that would causes a eternal suffering and finally death. Always not a meteorite or a gamma explosion doesn’t killing us first. We are not eternal anyway when sol become a dwarf star the explosion with kill us if it is something. Also Humans contamination or nuclear wars could to. I prefer suicide to be a pathetic apprentice of magician
That’s well for an ending but I want become a Omnipotent goddess in other or in other suicide. But all is very entertaining to play. No good ending at all.

Those are all things we should be able to control however and like I said my character does plan on changing the laws of physics to allow for warp drive to be possible, that’ll greatly extend humanity’s lifespan at least and it would be one of the few things that would be amazing to do even if we don’t get immortality.
Other than that there’s however not much fun things we can really seem to do with the essence due to not being able to change ourselves and being stuck in our demigod body, even if we can alter the way it looks we can apparently not alter it’s nature or it’s ties to “daddy”.
