Children of the Gods (Important poll #12306)

That’s true we know that we’ll just reincarnate, so that does remove some barriers to taking the nuclear option out, if necessary.

I’m mostly arguing for treatment that considers the mc as a person instead of just a potential weapon. And more considerate treatment from our fellow demigods such as Saint and Calypso not humiliating the mc by dragging him barefoot and half naked across the school grounds for the better part of a day would be nice too.

I really think it’s besides just not being in a position to actively help MC, that it’s just ignorance for the MC and their needs and potential traumata. Non of the people on Olympus is very considerate when it comes to the MC as a person. Doesn’t make it really better to be honest. Hostility at least recognizes a person and that the things done to them are against their needs, but ignorance is just “well, what do I care?”

There is a reason why MC can most likely change sides. (I personally would love to just strip the gods of their powers to make them mortal, but some people called attention to the fact that those gods may indeed have task they fullfill. So…Maybe taking turns? Or just making the ones mortal that get especially on my nerves. Or just destroy the Universe and create a new one from the beginning without any Gods besides the MC and forced to tag along Aeson…I really liked the destroy the world end in Heroes rise too, so I may have an affinity for such endings.)

Yep, is it any wonder why my mc likes Ares, he at least recognizes him while to the others he’s apparently little more than a bothersome nuisance to be kept out of sight until needed.

He’s rude, abrasive and downright hostile to the mc but along with Hera he’s the only one of the Gods who seems to at least somewhat recognize the mc as a person even while he’s actively and openly working against the mc’s best interests. But at least he’s refreshingly honest about it, unlike the rest of that bunch.

Again when it comes to the inconsiderate department I blame “daddy” Hades, Saint and Calypso by far the most.
Maybe on Olympus it is acceptable to go half or even fully naked everywhere, (although even in ancient Greece, while not exactly taboo, going fully naked in the streets, outside of the gymnasium and athletic events was associated with the very poorest and the slaves) but to my mc who grew up as an ordinary American, before his life on the run anyway, it’s most definitely not and in addition he doesn’t even feel comfortable with his “new” body which makes not being able to cover up for nearly a full day doubly humiliating.

…Well I thought it was implied at least, the whole “toast” and suddenly your in your first trial? Seemed a little suspicious. FYI Hades rules the Underworld, has power over it, if he was part of it, he would be trapped there as well… At least as far as I know, might be a little rusty…

THAT, is why you need a gun.

But my MC only got a sharp stick :scream: (that’s probaly too heavy to lift too.)

No, we were drugged by Persephone. Don’t ask why … I am happy not being Hades baby because i my stepmother is trying poisoning me afterward knew her… Poor mc …

While the mc might need the force-equalizer that a gun possibly provides (though I doubt the mc is any more trained with guns than he is with most other weapons), my mc will flat out refuse to accept anything that comes from “daddy” Hades.

Why do all of your Characters have so many parent issues Lol

Thank. It’s been awhile since I last played (with internship and graduation looming, it’s been a long month for me) :)) so details aren’t as fresh anymore :stuck_out_tongue:

@COGZealot, well we got to keep up the tradition :))

Why does your Character not?! How did you do that? Your only parent figures lied to you, used you and you can’t even be sure if they are honest now? And not to start about your biological mother and father, which never were really part of your life (at least not as father/mother)

Oh and some gods want to kill you.

How does your MC not have parent issues?

Because it is The Olympus. all the mc background screams drama. You just knew your daddy and discovered that your aunt and Uncle are not family and gods that plot your murder…

I don’t know about you, but my MC has been abandoned by four parents so far, counting Zeus, Priscilla, Hades and Athena (her biological parents and her adoptive parents). Surely that’s a lot higher than the national mean?

Well, Evander suffers more from trust issues than parental ones, but considering that the broken promise from Uncle Henry and the (unintentional) abandonment from Aunt Athena, combined with being constantly hunted by the Seekers for a good while, he definitely feels VERY justified in his wariness to fully open up to others.

That said, he holds nothing against Poseidon. He can’t feel too much of a sense of abandonment from a father who never really crossed his mind until he was taken to Olympus. And as one who think before he acts (most of the time), he isn’t about to judge someone who he barely knows (though he will be wary of a certain red-haired girl who attack him without good reason, even after he stated the truth).

I was thinking…what happens when we discover Saint West is our brother and we don’t like him? Just another awkward situation to add to the pile.

A replay of the old testament. That is what will happen.

I dunno about you but my Lavei liked being an unaccompanied minor :stuck_out_tongue:

I don’t know what happens there but I’ll take your word for it.

think it will? wait-actually, scratch that I got a theory (ohohoho yes I have :smiling_imp: ) and it is this: Saint has been reincarnated along with the others e.g Calypso, Adonis, Aseon the same amount of times as the MC and they have only met just until now along with the rest of the God-ly crew for a special purpose.
MWD theory rule 101: most make some sense in some way, otherwise just screw it and do deck building

Cain and Abel, Jacob and Esau, Joseph and his older brothers.

The Old Testament is filled with sibling relationships gone wrong and how those can end up making things worse for all parties :stuck_out_tongue:
