Children of the Gods (Important poll #12306)

Like I said, I’d have very much preferred it if Adonis could have done the tour-guide bit, as my mc’s first reaction to Saint and Calypso was “hell no! Not going anywhere with you guys !” he’s eyecandy and wasn’t part of those packs of little psycho’s, oh and maybe he’d have at least gotten the mc some shoes or sandals before dragging them everywhere after that first summoning.

I hope we can also bring up the fact that we have already graduated with that school counselor lady as my mc would be more interested in something like this: “Avery Agne, fourth year Medical student at the Institute.” , what seems to be the equivalent of college/university/professional education than redoing highschool.

Yes, I realize that for the game’s plot sake you want to place us in the same classes as the scooby gang but besides the now mostly sorted out apparel issues this is what my mc is most pissed at. At least allow us to drop the classes such as math and English that the mc has obviously already completed, as I believe that so far Greek mythology is the only class that has scenes connected with it anyway.

Meh, Calypso may wants to become a Hunter of Artemis but she certainly is not immun of fallling in love even when she may wants to. And that’s not just because of the MC.

(So maybe she has a special interest for MC because of that? At least in the beginning and maybe somewhat unconsciously)

Well my character is respectful with people’s lifestyles. She is narcissistic egomaniacal and paranoid but respectful. If You say to her first-time ever of talking I wannabe celibe and virgin for all the eternity…My girl wasn’t try to break her dreams flirting with her. I found bad taste. It is like trying to oblige a gay to bang with you a girl.

Sure. But I have a question about Artemis’ hunters: Do they just have to stay virgin/celibate or are they also not allowed to fall in love?

What I try to get at: would a purely romantic relationship without anything sexual be an okay for Artemis or not? (…At what point does it even count as sexual? Do kisses count? Or only French kisses? Is there a rule book for the hunters that elucidates all those rules? No, really, I want to know it.)

Is it me or I just really want to see Athena has a conversation with MC about the piercing and tattoo ?

Well she does make a remark about it when you first reunite with her.

What I want to know is how she knew about Evander’s tattoo since it’s on his back and I’m pretty sure he’s wearing a shirt.

She just knows everything…

Or she came to visit the MC while they were in the hospital and unconscious. And the healers told her. (Athena has something of a helicopter mom…)

Well in old times the women who promised to a godess celibacy can’t have any physical contact with males and love was forbidden. Vestals caught in act suffered a very terrific death . Roman power can’t killing them because there are bound to a God so There were buried alive in a small chamber catacombs with no water of food. If after some weeks you still alive Goddess has considered you pure so you could return… no one returned ever. And about hunters the legend of this type of servants is love is forbidden in all forms Artemis hates sex and love with all her heart so I hardly doubt foreplay is allowed

Can’t hide anything from Aunt Alice, I guess…

Though now I’d like to think that she really did come visit the Bearer at the hospital, her expression concerned :disappointed_relieved:. And then she sees their piercing/tattoo and looks so unamused when she leaves the room while thinking to herself “we are going to have a long talk about that piercing/tattoo when you wake up, young man/lady/one :expressionless:”.

…Hmmmmm  I’m sure I there is a way to exploit that part…

Yeah, but at what point does it count as foreplay? How intimate a gesture is depends partly at the culture…Does a hug count? Or only after a certain time? Do I have to measure the time when hugging Callie in the future?

Does that include platonic and family love? …Wouldn’t the kind of devotion for a god that comes close to love count too? Or the gods are just inconsistent…

@Okami-Nora Sooo, that’s a headcanon accepted?

@Sammysam

Considering Evander’s tattoo is his back and I don’t know too many ways Athena could find out about it (unless she actually has a secret power to see through clothes), I accept this headcanon. :grinning:

Just putting this out there about Calypso and affection but…after the dance, if the Bearer makes a move, they kiss her on the cheek. And she didn’t reject it one bit; in fact, it seemed like she was going to recopirate…if Saint hadn’t knocked over the chocolate fountain (I hate that chocolate fountain so much…). If these Hunters of Artemis were not too keen about the idea of any shows of physical affection, wouldn’t she have been more opposed to kiss, seeing as her dream is to join Artemis’ Hunters herself?

It also could be that her reasons to join the hunters is more…complicated as we know.

She seems to really admire Artemis, and her joining the hunters is a way to show that devotion, but with that “kinda crush” on Aeson and how awkward they are together it may also could be a way to escape that situation?

And she anyway can’t join them for the time being, because she has to take part in the trials (But eh why, actually? Is it because of the demigods have to participate before their 18th birthday or is it specific because of the war, to test them? Or because of her father, or to help Aeson. Avery doesn’t participate and is around the same age as the others, or not? So, why does Calypso have to participate.).

Maybe she wants to show her devotion for Artemis but isn’t sure if joining the hunters is the right way, even when it isn’t something she likes to admit?

I hope Calypso doesn’t try anything with Aeson because otherwise we’ll have to fight for him. (ง’̀-'́)ง

Reason with a hunter of Artemis, hmmm, I wonder how that would play out…

(overdramatic dream music plays to begin the adventure)
Moon walks over to Calypso in one of her particularly happy moods showing no sign of distrust towards her friend with the extremely big sword. When Moon has reached Calypso, she asks sweetly “May I borrow your sword?” Slowly a dark shadow forms over Calypso’s face and replays darkly “no, you cannot borrow MY sword.” Confused, Moon asks Calypso curiously “why?” Then ever so slowly Calypso draws her sword about her head and answers angrily "You stole Aseon from ME, you b***!" Backing away moon says calmly as anyone could when your friend is trying to slaughter you “OK let’s not get to fighting, how about reasoning instead?” But without warning, Calypso strikes her sword right through Moons stomach then says “I prefer fighting.” Right there and then Aseon strolls into the room, but just stares at Moons blood which is decorated around the room “well” he turns to face an embarrassed Calypso “this will take some explaining to Poseiden.”*

Ok, no one else will probably see it quite this way but still, it would be what would happen to my Moon if she tried reasoning to Calypso

Calypso can’t kill the MC if she wants to protect/loves Aeson…That would be contra-productive.

Very contra-productive.

@bellamyb Hey, Calypso can’t hurt your MC too much, if she doesn’t want to kill Aeson too.
So I say go for it: Fight! Fight! Fight!

If our MC doesn’t really enjoys being with the gang, can they like… kinda separate Aeson from them? It would involve like getting him to choose between spending time with us or with them, therefore, messing up their little quest or something?

Well yeah. There are things that the Council will only let you two know about, and those secrets often sever bonds. It could also work the other way around; you keeping yourself as far away as possible from Aeson and attempting to integrate yourself into his group of friends.

This made me realize something. Even if Saint, Calypso, and Adonis were not keen of the Bearer, they’d still probably feel like they’d have to protect them to some extent in order to protect Aeson himself. That’s actually kind of a messy situation; protect a person you hate to keep a person you love alive.

And random dance thought, but what do you guys make of the reactions that get triggered when the Bearer asks for a dance from one of the group directly? I find it interesting that Cally and Aeson have the same type of reaction if you ask either one of them, so it makes me wonder if the Bearer has something to do with the awkwardness between them. Also interested in knowing about why Psyche smiles to herself when the Bearer takes the direct approach when asking for a dance.

Yep, I always thought that Calypso was acting under orders from our “brother” but now I’m beginning to think she acts “voluntarily” out of love for him. Mind you it would still have worked out far better if they had let Adonis, rather than Saint (who is my least favourite person on Olympus right after “daddy” Hades) and Calypso, who were part of that last little pack of psycho’s , act as tour-guide and “welcoming committee”(not that my character was particularly keen on being dragged everywhere apparently barefoot in just a pair of sweatpants anyway).

Sadly I can’t comment on the dance until the updated version is uploaded.

I hope so, like I said I want to try if we can be brothers, but without the Scooby gang, or at least Saint and Calypso, involved.
