Haha! I would never wear cuff-links or a watch. I’m not one for accessories personally. I basically just pictured myself looking fancy. Black tux with a purple sleeved dress shirt, vest worn over that, and then the tux jacket. Simple, but for me that’s alright looking. But I do understand where you’re coming from a bit, because when we see Calypso in class and at the ceremony, she looks fancy ass fuck with her gorgeous described dresses and head pieces. So, I guess standing next to her we look a bit crazy, but these are fake clothes so I’m alright with the situation. Also, we sorta have the eye ball as an accessory if you get it. 
Aeson, Adonis, and Saint didn’t look too fancy though. Aeson had on a black suit and a gold tie with no accessories, Saint had on a white suit with a red tie, and I forgot what Adonis had on…a purple suit? So I mean we sorta fit in with the guys. Are you playing as a guy or a girl?
I read a post when you said something like…we didn’t get to bring anything with us or something. I guess someone stole our bag?

Maybe, but they did have their suits in their personal style while we were stuck with the most boring, generic choice possible. So my mc doesn’t get to choose his style and neither does he look fancy. Aeson at least had his own sword and I did think the other guys had accessories appropriate to them, but that last part may have been my imagination.
I mostly play male characters btw.
More like a certain Saint didn’t even think to bring it. If we could do the teleport trick ourselves we might still be able to retrieve it, unfortunately we can’t so we’re stuck with whatever they foist on us in the meantime.
Like I said, I could imagine my mc would check if his “brother” will share some things with us, willing or not, but we just haven’t gotten any opportunities to just wander the grounds by ourselves thus far as there always seems to be one busybody or another hovering over us.

Yeah, and like the ones that brought the topic up already said, it mostly was them rpging, what I thought was mostly obviously considering the wording was most of the time “My MC would” or “the reason the characters ingame aren’t more considerated is/seems to be”, so I didn’t get were the fixation on the topic as it ended up came from. After all, people are allowed to headcanon the way their MC reacts, especially if the text is so nice to not obviously didact what the character is feeling (not mentioning something is by the way in that case the same, because it leaves any reaction open to the reader).
That’s what annoyed me, that everyone jumped at it in the way it did, where both groups obviously did discuss at that time about two totally different things.
Anyway, I don’t think the interpretation that the (for some people rather restricted) clothing choices are based on people not really thinking about it from the position of the MC/not caring about them is that far off. It matches that also absolutely nobody in a position of authority really explained anything to MC and they had to pick together their information about the trials through their comparable small and very new peer group. That can be interpreteded as a lack of attention the gods may have for certain aspects of the MC’s life. It doesn’t have to be malovent but it also could come from the gods just being gods, they long ago lost their sense for human problems, the important thing is that the Bearer is on Olympus, everything else will be handled by somepone else. Expect it isn’t, because no one feels responsible for the Bearer, and the people that do are either busy with scheming (Athena, Hades) or people MC may doesn’t want in their life. It makes sense that some MCs may got used to it, considering all their time alone on the streets, but depending on how you want to play them that neglect could also serve as another reason to despise the gods.
I also can’t imagine that Athena is really the type makes herself so many thoughts about what MC wears, but more someone who looks what is formal and not too provocative, what explains why the clothes are rather plain and not too attention grabbing…I wonder what her real thoughts about Aeson’s hero shows are, she at least doesn’t seem to fall for it. Is it a strategy she respects or is she more concerned how that will influence MCs own standing on Olympus? Anyway while she may not care that much an MC can be headcanoned as feeling like that already shows that their former caretaker doesn’t understand them anymore or that they indeed get sabotaged in their fight for surviving.
I think those are absolute reasonable ways to interpret the things when playing a MC who cares for those things, even when it’s not the way it was intended to be interpreted (because it wasn’t intended to be interpreted at all), because there is much that supports those ideas and not really much that discounts them.

Mm, I mostly play as a guy aswell. Honestly, I thought that was a bit of a, “Wow, I’m the only one without a weapon, great.” moment at the ceremony.
We’re surrounded by people who need a straight jacket (Sage), people who casually talk about our death (Hera and Aprohidite), and the angry hulk on the sidelines ready to bash us upside the head (Ares). I would’ve instantly tried to find or make a weapon. I wouldn’t care if it were a screwdriver, it’s still useful.
Does Saint even know we’re his sibling? If not then there’s really no reason to be like, “Ay bro let me hook you up.” But, it doesn’t seem like it…I’ve hung out with him the most to have some sibling time.
Yeah, yeah it also doesn’t help that the gods can just poof to our destination. How is Athena finding us…I guess we have a tracker inside of us somewhere and she’s using her GPS. That would be great though if daddy dearest poofed in. He should want to spend time with us cause I’d like to play some games and chill.
This is certainly a big factor, before his life on the run my mc used to be a popular guy and one in the cheerleading squad at that. Does that really make him seem like the type of person who likes to go with the most boring, generic clothing choices possible and not put any showmanship into his appearance at all, if he could?
I don’t mean Saint here, while he was obviously the one who chose to teleport us without our few meagre belongings, I was referring to Aeson as the “brother” my mc would like to borrow some things from, except we don’t even know where his suites are.
I think mine would very desperately like something a bit more stylish and flashy, like his supposed “brother”.
As to Saint if we’re a child of Zeus he must know, not that it seems to matter any.
Not having one was indeed one more thing that set us apart, and not in a good way, and then “daddy” wants us to use the plainest dagger possible to draw blood? I think my mc would have rather bitten down on his own hand to do it then use that glorified butter knife.

Um, you mean Aeson, Saint is not the one my mc would want to steal his clothes from as that would be either Aeson or Adonis.
Like we get the option to. That would be something that would need to be an explicit choice. I can headcanon nighttime raids on his wardrobe, if we knew where it was and had access to his quarters, but wrestling him down and stealing his clothes off his body definitely needs to made into a scene of its own.

Then when you go to the ceremony and he peeps out that you have his clothes on your body what would you do? Be like, “Yeah, I took your clothes and accessories. Problem?”

Well he (Aeson) says that we’re viewed as “one person” by the Gods anyway so if that’s true those things are as much mine as they are his and if I have them that just means I got to them first. Like beating your cousins (or siblings) to the bathroom in the morning.
Besides, Aeson likely has a walk-in closet and can pick another outfit with absolutely no problems.
Unfortunately since nobody told us about that stupid ceremony before the last minute so we didn’t even get to try something like that.
For abandoning me and sending packs of psychotic little killers after me while showering our brother(s) with gifts, I can’t imagine what could possibly make my mc absolutely loathe a stand up guy like that from the bottom of his heart? 
While Saint’s clothes would not be my first choice they’d still be better then what we got, however the suit could would likely get dirty or damaged in the scuffle. However come to think of it I think I would prefer Saint’s suit, even dirty and ragged, compared to the utterly generic crap we get to “make do” with.

Then again, it is their charisma and body build that makes anything they wear looks good. 
Just because the MC was given the most basic of looks, doesn’t mean he can’t work it (especially high Allure MC). Also, I always assume other people wore the fanciest clothing they can find, which makes the MC stands out because he only wore a basic black suit.
Once the MC get his essence back, he can make whatever clothes he/she wants. Clothing so fine that even world class haute couture pales in comparison.

Same here, my MC also used be popular and outgoing at school, having lots of friends, being a center of attention. Then one day she was forced to leave everything she’d ever known and cared about behind. She’s been running and hiding for three years now, living in the shadows, never staying too long in one place, always having to look over her shoulder, all on her own without any friend in the world.
Then suddenly she is whisked away to Olympus. There everyone are talking about her arrival, and the gods of Olympus kneel down to her. She gets told that she’s the chosen one, destined to save the world. On her first day people whisper and look at her in awe as she walk past them. It seems as if things might be getting, if not the same, then at least better.
But soon people stop talking about her. Nobody pays her any extra attention. Aside from the scooby gang, nobody is talking to her or making any attempt at getting to know her. They all start acting like going to class with the bearer is no big deal. Even if they think she’s a murderer (an impression she has done nothing to dissuade), they should be wary of her, they should look at her, maybe make attempts at getting on her good side. They should in some way pay attention to her, and they’re not. After finally not having to hide anymore after all these years, she is met with being ignored instead, and she really doesn’t like it. It doesn’t help that uncle Hades has made no attempt at contacting her and Athena only shows up to teleport her around. Nor does it help that everyone around her seems to know what’s going on while nobody ever gives her any information.
So yea, I guess there’s my MC’s perspective, if that might be of interest to anyone… shrugs

I might have completely misinterpreted this, but I got the impression that Aeson shared a room with Adonis, the room where we went to talk to the gang that one time?

Well, if it’s Hades…he technically was still apart of our lives soo I can’t really be mad about that. On one hand we got kidnapped, so apparently they didn’t know where we were until our teen years, I think. On the other hand they left us out on the streets for three years…I mean I’m not gonna lie, I do want to rant at the gods a bit about our situation. We had to fend for ourselves, not know our father/mother, have a hit put out for our head, and not know how apparently important we are. While everyone else was in Olympus living lavishly.
Although, at the same time it’s Zeus’ fault Hades and Athena had to leave soo I really place most of that on him. I don’t really know what to say about Poseidon…he’s sorta just there…like a little puppy wandering about. Who’s your father? Zeus will never ever ever ever ever be my dad. He’s on my hit list.
Ah, I didn’t go and talk with the gang as it’s rather obvious they just like to ignore me whenever they can, like pretty much everybody else around there, so why should I humor them by showing up like a servant whenever they suddenly do decide they want to see me?
Exactly and it really doesn’t help that once we finally get there too we’ve got to live there like we’re a poor, barely wanted (which is true I guess) charity case. And then they have the gall to demand some pretty big fricking favours from us? Yeah right?
At this stage it really wouldn’t be difficult for (great)granddaddy Chronus to get my mc on his side as all he’s got to do is pay him some attention, act like he actually wants him around and let him make his own most basic choices, like on what to wear and which classes to take.
Unlike Athena though, Hades at least was never imprisoned (providing that story is even true, of which I’m not completely certain atm) and I imagine he could have hidden and raised us in his underworld if he really wanted to, once the original plan fell through, but I guess he was just too busy playing “father” to Aeson to spare us any thoughts all those years. He also could have plucked up the courage to tell us he was our father and stop this “uncle” sham years ago.
So my mc hates hims just as much, possibly even more, than Zeus. It really is telling that in this game Poseidon is the best dad, as when it comes to him my mc simply likes to pretend that he doesn’t even exist, while the other two are definitely on his “little list” at the moment.
But since this is Greek mythology themed I guess I would like something more like Xena’s Ares (full disclosure he’s why I watched that thing in the first place). I guess the black and silver would contrast nicely with Aeson’s gold too.
Note the accessories, which the mc never gets.
As for the formal wear, maybe something like this:
I always thought Gundam Wing’s OZ suits a rather nice combo between uniform and formal wear.

Ehh, the trail mix crew sorta looked at us with (was it concern or confusion?) if you don’t sit with them at lunch. I see our character as being Harry Potter in the GOF. When everyone turns there back on him for “putting his name in the goblet”, but then once he gets the golden egg away from the horntail dragon they’re all hunky dory and kissing his ass. Like the situation where everyone kept waving and smiling at us all of a sudden in the hallway.
Plus, I don’t want attention if we just end up getting the Sage massage treatment once they don’t like us again.
Ya feel me? Then Hera starts threatening us…it’s like, “What the f**k is wrong with you people? Zeus, check your wife.”
When it comes to Cronus I actually think that he might end up being the lesser of two evils. I don’t believe the gods told the full story. I think on some level they’re bullshiting us. Until I hear Cronus’ side, I have no loyalty to the gods.
There was a brief moment during my third playthrough and I started getting mad at that situation. It’s just the feeling of, “Are you fucking kidding me?” We could be traumatized from what we went through in the streets and there’s no questioning of that. Hades was smiling one of his rare smiles at Aeson…pfft. But then I got over it because nothing can be done for that situation. Plus I plan to romance Aeson, soooo yeah.
I feel indifferent towards that, because I’ve known a few families like that in real life and a similar situation happened to me a bit. If that’s the case, then Athena could’ve told us the truth once we told her about the hooded people.
I’m giving Hades and Poseidon a clean slate until they do something outright towards me. Although, it makes no sense how they couldn’t pull a GPS move that Athena seems to love.

Oh I think my mc so wanted to publicly scream right there and then that he would never acknowledge any of them as his “father” ever! They’re the sperm-donors at best and they’ve got no right to act (but only in public it seems) like we’re “family” all of a sudden.
I don’t think my mc will ever have anything but pure, undisguised hatred for his “dad” at this point, unless he happens to be Poseidon, in which case cold indifference would be possible.
But I’ll be very clear on one thing for my mc there will be no “making up for lost time” ever, especially not after that sham of a ceremony.
Where it concerns Aeson I’m willing to give him a chance, much like Chronus, but I could never bring myself to romance him as it feels like we are (or should be) brothers. Though I’m not guessing we’ll ever be particularly close in this life, since he seems to very much prefer the scooby gang to us, and let’s be honest my mc would like to pilfer some of his nice things. But maybe what girls these days call “frenemies” could be possible?
I guess Aeson can’t help being the wanted and desired one while the mc is very clearly the unfavourite, but that doesn’t mean my mc has to like it.
