Children of the Gods (Important poll #12306)

You could potentially put a link for FAQ directly underneath the link for the game, then it would be next to impossible to miss. More people actually read the FAQ than you would think; I know I always do whenever I see a link to them.

Even if not a lot of people end up reading it, it will still make it easier for everyone; even if only one person ever ends up reading the FAQ for whatever reason, that’s still one less person that needs to ask the questions on the forum to everybody themselves.

I just think that even if it helps an infinitesimal amount, it still helps. I know people would appreciate it, and you probably would as well, not seeing some questions clutter up the forum.

Really though, it’s ultimately up to you.

I’m obsessed with musicals :grinning: If you scroll up a bit, I still stand by “The Origin of Love” from Hedwig (sung by Andrew Rannells, but personal preference ) for my otp Aeson/MC

"Last time I saw you,
We had just split in two.
You were looking at me.
I was looking at you.
You had a way so familiar,
But I could not recognize.
'Cause you had blood on your face;
I had blood in my eyes.
But I could swear by your expression
That the pain down in your soul
Was the same as the one down in mine."

All of those songs are so beautiful; the artwork that accompanies them are as well.

I finally finished my final pick-through of the game; I’m sure that I’ve combed through a majority of the spelling errors, grammar errors, inconsistencies, etc. I feel a tremendous weight lifted off my shoulders at that fact (in regards to the first 4 chapters).

I can now continue coding chapter 8; so beta testers can expect a message in a weeks time, and the update will arrive after I’ve collected feedback and made corrections.

I’m looking forward to you all reading this chapter; it’s without a doubt my favorite.

So did you let people if they were a tester or not or are they going to find out next week?

All I ask is some Sage - MC time. Just that…Sadomasochistic much?

YES! LONG LIVE MUSICALS!

I’m still figuring out my own playlist (which is also super tentative because of how little we’ve seen), but if it’s Baeson and MC, Elaborate Lives from Aida comes to mind. It’s hard to pick a specific part of the song, because honestly everything about it feels like it’s them.

But in general – not necessarily musical related – Angel With a Shotgun keeps popping up as an option for the RO’s? Like this is the most blanket song I can think of, and that’s mostly because of this:

They say before you start a war,
You better know what you’re fighting for

I’m an angel with a shotgun,
Fighting 'til the war’s won,
I don’t care if heaven won’t take me back.
I’ll throw away my faith, babe, just to keep you safe.
Don’t you know you’re everything I have?
And I wanna live, not just survive tonight.

I think if anything, that image tells me that I’m going to meet my imminent death after being betrayed by the people above me in status.

Symbolism?

I am not sure if it has been discussed, but does morality affects the magic the MC casts? Like high morality improving magic powered by love, for example.

Is there a difference between “love” and “hope” when both are considered “light” magic?

If morality affects magic…does this mean bathing in faerie’s blood will maximize morality, strengthening our magic? Considering the MC gains a slight boost to morality when checking out the faerie blood in the vials (and vice-versa for Centaur blood).

Or is it simply a choice of being attracted to light or darkness?

I would guess it’s more likely this…Because first killing all the fairies and then ending up on the “light” side of the morality scale seems like eh “cheating”?

…Or fairies are evil and vermins? So you killing them indeed is a good deed…considering some of the things the fae folk does (depending on which mythology you look at) maybe not that far off? Though I always guessed they were more in the realm of blue and orange morality, meaning not comparable to human standards…So it wouldn’t be fair that killing them/drinking or bathing in their blood gives a boost to morality, magic, maybe, but not morality.

(Also I think Rohie did say once a thousand posts ago that the different kinds of magic have more of a cosmetic effect…)

Edit: Found it!

Whats the difference between dark and shadow magic, aesthetically (is that a word) speaking?

Yay! Thanks for all your work! I’m looking forward to seeing what the chapter will be like

You know, that would make a nice option when the MC becomes more powerful magically, allowing them to customize their magical aesthetics.

Aeson- “You know, the whole invisible chorus doing the ominous Latin chanting is a bit much. At the very least, it should be ominous Greek chanting.”

My MC- “I’m latino.”

Aeson- “Ominous Spanish chanting then? No, you’re right, that doesn’t seem right.”

My MC- “You’re just jealous that I have a theme song, you wish you were cool enough to have a theme song.”

Instead of opting for music my MC would go with a massive dark aura everytime he gets slightly aggravated.

Or maybe just pure white eyes all the time.

Great for staring contests.

Man, I’m gone for like a week moving and it seems like there were thousands of posts in my absence :sob:
So is this finally entering its private beta stages? Has it updated since we got the taste of our first trial?

The private beta is just for some new features in the next chapter for which Rohie needs technical feedback to get rid of the bugs before she updates the public link.
