I’m not sure what it means; I just love Priscilla Presley. But if there is some alternative hidden meaning…then that’s even better.
I always find it great when the one time I don’t think too hard on a character’s name, there ends up being so much significance around it.

According to Wikipedia page for the name Priscilla, the name is meant “to bestow long life on the bearer”.

That is amazing and very unsettling.
Really? According to Wikipedia page for the name Priscilla, the name is meant “to bestow long life on the bearer”.
idk, it’s not a big deal necessarily, mostly i was being dramatic, and wikipedia isn’t exactly the most accurate source of information (especially considering there’s no citation for what i mentioned). i just thought it was pretty clever, and it surprised me, that in all of the comments on this thread, that no one brought it up.
I saw what Wiki said, but as you stated, It’s not exactly a reliable website, so I didn’t want to bring it up since there is a strong chance of it not being correct.
How about be gone for a week because of moving and return to 700 new posts, then another 500 by the time you’ve caught up, then another 300 by the time you’re through that, I’ve been feeling like Achilles and the tortoise all week…
It seems unnecessarily tricky; Angelis means ‘Messenger’, but Angelus means ‘Angel’. But because they’re both similar, they’re used interchangeably so many times that they’re both used many times in different cultures. Is Angelis actually Angelis, or is it simply a different spelling of Angelus?
I suppose a different spelling of Angelus would make the name more appropriate in this context, so we might opt for that. After all, ‘Ancient Angel’ does sound cooler than ‘Ancient Messenger’. Maybe if we had the option to have Hermes as a father it would work, but as a general consensus the former would work better.
I realised that, but I wasn’t sure if we were adhering to the simply literal interpretations or if we were going a bit further. They do technically mean the same thing, but again I was going off of the strictly literal, in the same way that all textbooks are books, but not all books are textbooks.
It depends on how you choose to interpret it, ultimately.
…Okay it seems now we crossed the line to “overanalizing”…
But hey, lets roll with it. So If we go with messenger, in the context of the Bearer and Bestower, Priscilla’s position could be that special on Olympus because she was one of the people that could foresee when the Bearer/Bestower would be reborn (She brings the message of their impending rebirth)?
…a little bit ironic as she ended up as the Bearer’s mother this time around…(or was that on purpose? Is it predestined who will be the mother of the Bearer/Bestower? Because it certainly is not really predestined who will be the father. Or is it just a question of time and place?)
Or she and Nephlim belong to the same sect of magicians and all of them have a liking for names with a connection to angels…it’s a tradition…or something.
Remember, the Greeks were very much into the fact that one can’t escape their fate. Everything for the Greeks was set in stone, so perhaps she could see the future? But we’ll never know eh?
I thought we will get to know more about Priscilla? Probably from Nephlim, who we can (also) probably meet soon, if we make the right decisions. Remember?
Pretty sure about Saint (poor guy, not just victime to the naming abilities of his mother, but also naming traditions), Santangelo…eh maybe yes, maybe a red hering? We can’t know…yet.
