When you’re 18, you often think that you’re smarter than you are, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t be smart about it at all. Some 18 year olds can be extremely level-headed and probably would be in situations such as this. A wise person would find a way to exist in harmony with the Gods once they’ve gained immortality and ultimate power, but I agree; even an exceptionally wise 18 year old would probably still need guidance in utilising their power properly.

Your literal answer to me saying that MC is in such a powerful position was to ask:
So forgive me that I felt the need to clarify my point.
And honestly the dire point about the MC is not even that they are 18, as even someone much older doesn’t need to be much wiser or expirienced with decisions or leadership and even when it will at least not be an easy decision.
…Good intentions can have the worst outcome, especially if you have no idea what you are doing, but who honestly could tell MC what to do with that much power? The gods have only a very small part of the Essence. Nobody else before MC was in such a position (well, eventually one of their earlier reincarnations?). And in the worst case MC will not even know what the direct consequensces of their decision will be.
Maybe all the lying/scheming/tricking will in the end be the reason for the end of the gods…
But in that case it also will depend if the Essence may has limits we don’t already know about (By now our knowledge even as readers is rather limited. And I’m a sceptic so I anyway expect some weird stuff going down and changing the game)…Maybe they can strip of gods of their powers but not titans? That could explain why Cronus could be a tougher opponent as thought…

My MC will try to reach consensus with Aeson, and try to make him see that the wisest thing to do is to go live a real life, at least for while. A life that would be their own, and where they could be anything they want to be ( singer in a rock music group, farmer, architect, school councelor, etc).
If he cannot be convinced she will knock him over the head and abduct him.
He will be the princess and MC will be the dragon. And the gods can be my stewards during my well deserved vacation. After all what do afew years mean to them? Nada, that’s what!

@Rohie If it is not too spoilery, do we know if there are any Titans left? I was in the understanding that they had all been killed by Cronus. (Yet, Hécate is a Titan)

Yeah…I don’t really think that’s the best indicator of proper mental health; this is kind of what being a wise master/mistress of the universe would not entail. Ya freak.
What exactly is the definition of a real life? The life that Aeson has could be all he needs to live for himself if you take away the fear of the Gods. I’m not saying keep him in Olympus, but the idea is to finally let him do what he wants to do, and living a normal human life may be neither what he wants nor what he needs. And I seriously think that if that is your intention, as admirable as it may be, kidnapping him would be one of the worst possible courses of action you can take.
“Hey Aeson, I’m going to let you live a life that you want. Just completely what you want; nobody telling you what to do at all. And if you don’t want to do that, I’ll force you to do it anyway. Cheers!”

What I mean by real life is a life where he doesn’t have to be so afraid of being killed by the gods that he has to turn his entire life into a reality show, to entertain and rouse the populace in order to maintain his continued existence. Maybe he’d like to see the world, maybe he’d like to go the underworld to be with his dad. Whatever works for him. The whole point of the word consensus! 
Because I honestly believe that he never did anything that he wanted. In a way, all the demi-gods are made to serve the gods. Even if some of them are happy with it.
Ahhhh…Humor is complicated when your are on the internet and not in writing in your mother’s tong. No matter, I am the Master of the Universe (in my head mostly and thanks to Rohie’s imagination!
) So I don’t need to be mentally sound!

In my version of the story, during the Titanomachy, Cronus killed every other Titan in order to strip them of their part of the Essence.
The Spell-book of Hecate artifact is one you can attain without him being “alive,” if that is what you’re referring to.
Also, I digress, but I’m considering a title change. Children of the Gods was a placeholder, but I got far too attached to it. It speaks of the story, don’t get me wrong, but I feel like it could be far better. I am open to suggestions, but it wouldn’t be implemented until the end of the game. (AKA the far, far future).

Better option would be you both become dragons and rule the skies together. That way he just could make barbecue out of every god that tries to kill him.

I know it was a joke, but it seems that people on this thread have a severe problem with knowing when to stop enforcing their ultimate power onto others; I’ve seen far too many ‘I’ll explode the universe’ posts and I got scared.
You’re right, he can do whatever he wants, but if I was spied on my entire life, one of the first things I would like to do is simply relax with the knowledge that nobody is spying on me. He may go and see the world if he desires, but just doing what he wants to do will be the focal point.
He may travel though; if just to get away from being compared to the Bearer all the time. Even a high relationship with Aeson wouldn’t stop the knowledge that your counterpart is so much more powerful than you taking a toll on your relationship together, platonic or otherwise.

Not sure about anyone else, but listening to this song again after playing this WIP reminds me a bit of Aeson/MC. 
Especially the Zeus & Thor part. I thought it was relevant (and a great performance).

@Rohie, only the children of Zeus are considered Olympians, all the other Greek deities that are mentioned are descended from the original Titans? Apollo, Artemis, Hermes, and Athena couldn’t be born if all Titans died. Their mothers were all Titans.
The Fates’ mothers are Titans, the Muses’ mother is a Titan.

And when I get the full essence, I’m going to make Artemis make Calypso a hunter no matter what, any means necessary and if she doesn’t she will be torture till she does. And she will suffer if she tells Calypso what I have done.
Zeus had sex with everything; animals, humans and Titans… why Athena (who’s mother was a Titan) was born from his brain, so he had sex with himself even… well not really but I’m saying he could have and no one would doubt it.

Well, also the mother of Hermes was a Titan same with Artemis and Apollo.

Titan God of Intellect and Knowledge
Hence why Apollo inherited prophecy. All of his (Koios) relatives went to him to hear the future.
Another important Titan was, Iapetus (The Piercer) Titan of the West and Mortality, he was amazing with a spear. (Aka the original master of the Underworld) and their children were Epimetheus (Creator of the Animals of the Earth) Prometheus (Creator of Humans) and Atlas.
Victory is a Titan, the Fates are descended from Titans, the Muses are descended from Titans.

That’s not very fair on Calypso. She’ll think that she got the position through her own skills when it was just given to her because you’re positively predisposed towards her. For anyone with even the slightest hint of pride that would be one of the biggest insults you could pull; I seriously doubt she’d even speak to you after that.
And I don’t know if you know Artemis, but the woman doesn’t give in. At all. To anything. You could put her through indescribable pain for the rest of eternity and she’d still keep her mouth shut. And do you really think that nobody would find out? The Gods aren’t idiots; you do anything even remotely adverse to Artemis and everyone will know about it. I don’t think anybody in the entire world would even want to look at you after pulling something like that; the entire world would think that you’re a sadistic sociopath. Especially Calypso. I would bet money on her literally hating your guts after doing that.

You don’t have to get at me. I said earlier I don’t know much about the Gods like that. Im knew to this stuff. And I never said I thought it through, it would be well-intentioned with bad consequences. But sheesh I don’t know nothing about these Gods. I’m learning through posting and reading posts about them.

Artemis and her Hunters are the vanguards of Olympus, it’s their duty to go and hunt the worst monsters and to help Hermes in keeping an eye on the mortal world. She is extremely important and Zeus loves her dearly, she was always able to charm him into doing what she wanted. Artemis is also a very powerful goddess since she’s the daughter of Zeus and a second-generation Titan.
