AL we really have to do is to stick em with the pointy end, right? =P
I want a spear as a child of Zeus or Poseidon so I can use it to harness water or lightning.
That can keep an opponent at a distance, be used defensively (provided that it’s durable enough), can be thrown at an enemy from a distance (not something I’d recommend unless you can easily get it back in your hands), and be used for noncombat things as well such as hunting/fishing and a line to hold your clothes when they get wet or just to hold while you take a bath (a small part of me kinda hopes there a funny scene where someone of the opposite gender walks in on the Bearer bathing in a river or something
)
I bet a warrior Bearer would accidentally discover magical properties in Poseidon’s spear by swinging it around near a body of water and sending a small wave at their group.
I just don’t get why you Poseidon kids complaint, You get a badass weapon that could be used as a mage staff like in Dragon age where many staffs got a pointy metal sharp blade. But What We Zeus children receive ? A PILL TOTALLY SIMILAR TO A VIAGRA PILL!!! I TOTALLY PREFER A STICK OR A Vacuum cleaner… Or a Chanel n5 lol if I spraying it I could harm someone else eyes… I DON’T WANT A VIAGRA PILL ZEUS WHY ARE YOU SO LAME!!!
At least now we have a way for Poseidon to bond with a mage kid in the future?
“Listen kid, I’m going to teach you have to use the staff without using your magic in combat situations in case the other gods decide to strip you of magical capability.”
Unless, Aunt Alice already thought of that and taught them basic staff handling?
Well, in the defense of Zeus children with the pill it’s:
-
Not very obvious. Unlike the spear or gun, the pill would likely not trigger an aggressive reaction as its not so obviously dangerous (provided that possible enemies can’t sense the power from it).
-
Easy to carry around and handle. The spear is described having a bit of a weight to it and I’m not sure that the Bearer has ever had experience shooting a gun, which may not be good if the gun has a particularly strong recoil. The pill is small enough to keep somewhere safe on their person and may have an easier use for both a warrior and mage Bearer (though it could possibly put some type of strain on their body, since it has power that the Bearer’s body may not be used at first).
-
The amount of jokes the Bearer can make about it are limitless and easy.
“Stay back! I’m armed with a pill, and I’m not afraid to use it! I just wish I knew whether to eat it or throw it at you…”
Not matter the weapon, I think the Bearer has to test them out first before actually using it in a battle
. Something tells me they all are more than what they seem.
Or make someone else eat it. That would make Mara happy, and the children of Zeus are the high allure characters, so that would even make sense.
Oh my, what is an MC to do? Give the pill to sage and pray that it is not a steroid, give it to the God Ares giving him a chance to say “I will make you wish that you were never reborn!” Or eat it-oh wait, it’s a smartie!
I should also point out that even if you refuse to take the weapon (at least in the spear’s case), the following scene says: "You notice that Santiago has nothing in his possesion. Were Sage and I the only ones to get weapons?" which kind of sounds like you took the weapon.
I seem to recall that it was mentionned before, but which are the weapons of choice of the other demi-gods?
Calypso = Bow&Arrows
Aeson = Sword (at least I think it is)
Sage = Machete
What about Saint,Adonis,Santiago, and Psyche?
I’ll take the pill anyday @Rohie said that’s the better weapon. Because the spear was just her stick idea and she decided to make that stick pointy for us.
And when In doubt , put it in your mouth. ( not like that but you know what I mean. If it’s a drug maybe it take you on a trip and once you come back from that trip. You killed all your opponents:wink:
)
I don’t encourage to put anything in your mouth you don’t know about in real life.only if you want to:bowing_man:
( this conversation just went left, I’m going to just leave it alone)
…Good night everybody (Hope someone gets the reference).

oh, damn. I don’t like you:weary:

sounded so horrible.
I’m not trying to be mean. Innuendos often fly over my head, but THAT was way too easy.
And just reinforces how many joke can be made about the pill (please @Rohie, let there be jokes about these weapons).
And for some reason I pictured a male Bearer saying that and the girls choking on whatever they’re drinking while Santiago looks straight at the him with a really big smirk or leads a particularly oblivious Bearer into saying even more unintentional innuendos.
Lmbo I know lol, good one:grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:
. Word, that would be to funny for real, if we could.
I wonder if she finds this funny or annoying lol. Just such good jokes. I feel out of all the threads on here “Children of the Gods” have to be the dirtiest minded people😂
I have wondered what @Rohie thinks sometimes while reading how some of us are contemplating using the spear for pole dancing, questioning why Zeus gave us a pill, and trying to come up with ways to troll the Gods (just to name a few of the crazy things that seem to have crossed many minds).
im scared to post here lately…you guys have too much free time…i think…
When Athena teleported us to our dorm after discovering our father, and our roommate goes “Oh my Gods!”, I honestly expected him to be picking his toes or something. Then I found out that he was just reading.
Yep @Drakeye, we have WAY too much time on our hands
what do we do in our free time, remains in our free time.
(Sneaks off to the secret door behind the fridge and glances around suspiciously before entering)
