I can just imagine the firworks when Ares tries to smite our MCs and Caly ends up protecting them. Aw yis, bring out the popcorn!
@AwkwardNature what Okami-Nora said. Greek mythology reflects so much of Greek culture and history and that makes it so interesting to learn about (For example, I believe the Titans represent a time when people worshiped natural forces [the sun, earth, the seas, etc] while the Olympians represent the emergence of civilization [agriculture, sea-fare, husbandry, battle tactics] and how mankind could withstand natural forces. Fun stuff!)

Nah no in sight on others believe since it’s to believe that any other cultures our wrong. I think every culture has some right ways but we also have our faults which makes us different but if I think you put all the right ways of our cultures together the world would be a better place ( just what I believe) even though I have Christian beliefs
Yeah, I like learning about other people culture doesn’t mean I’m changing mine, but I just like to learn about their in sight like as you said it’s fun.
My parents always reminded me that Christianity(and most monotheist religions) is actually a rather young religion, especially compared to most of the ancient polytheistic ones. The ancient greek religion started at the bronze age. So in my opinion, we shouldn’t judge or dismiss any religion/culture, until our own has perdured as long as the ancient ones! Still one thousand years to go before we can even think about criticizing!
I believe that with time, maybe MC will get accostumed to how beautiful she is. The same way you built resistance to poison. A little dose regularly and at some point it doesn’t affect you anymore!
By the way, I will go for Calypso way before I go for Sage… I can deal with Ares wanting to kill me.
And to be honest, I think that whoever you decide to romance, their godly parent will no be pleased. Even just for the danger that you represent by making their children targets!

But man, there’s just something about the mysterious/murderous types that I always find interesting (probably because I’m neither myself). The only reason I didn’t have my MC ask Sage to dance was because he wouldn’t have had enough time to do that, eat sweets, and almost share a kiss with Calypso
. I still definitely want to smooth things out with her though. [quote=“Nyxerie, post:4890, topic:15482”]

Depending on how the MC reacted during the presentation to the Twelve, I feel like Hades would be ok with MCs that date Aeson. Uncomfortable maybe, but definitely not opposed.
I don’t think he would be opposed! But he most certainly wouldn’t be pleased! Think about it. Hades loves both MC and Aeson. The both of them together would raise his stress level to the roof!
Remember how the gods didn’t want Aeson to be on Olympus when you arrived? I think the gods are uncomfortable with the power you have, and if you get along with Aeson, romantically or not, in a way, it rids them of their only way of controlling you!
Do we know whose daughter Avery is? I can’t seem to remember!

On the contrary, I think Aeson and Hades are fairly close to each other and, should the MC and Aeson grow close, Hades would be able to…influence their relationship through Aeson if he so desires (not that I think he would since, as you said, he cares for both of them and likely wish them both happiness). Come to think of it, the other gods could likewise influence the relationship of the MC with the other RO’s. I definitely wouldn’t be surprised if Aphrodite does so with Adonis but I feel like Hermes is too laid-back and cheerful to resort to such measures when it comes to Sage and Ares would simply try to fix the problem (ie the MC) himself instead of talking to Caly about it.
I just think Hades might feel awkward having his son and his adopted child/actual child romantically involved. Then again, incest is a norm in Olympus so maybe he won’t feel that awkward about it

Actually, we don’t know who her God parent is (assuming she’s even a Demigod to begin with). We do know that she’s sort’ve a apprentice to Hygenia (is that how you spell the name).

Agree we shouldn’t dismiss a religion/ culture, I feel it’s quite ignorant to think ones better than another without knowledge of the other religions roots.

Ares will definitely try to get the MC to leave Calypso alone, than going through her because that’s his baby girl he took care of. And he’ll be damn if this so called hero who hold the essence that’s said to be the savior of Olympics, go out with his daughter. this so called hero is nothing and will not mount to anything and will never in its life, be anywhere near Calypso over Ares dead body will this “hero” go out with her. She is a true warrior and nothing will get in her way to be the best she can be😈

I think that she might be a daughter of Apollo, since Apollo is the god of medicine.
No she’s from the god of war who I can never remember the name of…
Not Calypso, Avery.
How can you forget Ares?
His motto is GUNS! BLOOD! WAR!

I KNEW THAT! I TOTALLY KNEW THAT!
ahem sorry about that, I hold no grudge to anyone but myself…I go hide in corner now (scuttled back into her dark corner of the room)
You’ll never be able to impress the man if you run away!

What if it’s a tactical withdrawal? That’s a common practice in war, right?

Asclepius (no idea his English name) it is actually the medicine and farmacy doctor. His symbols were a pair of poisonous snakes many times in a DNA shape other in a stick. Their priests use poison in small quantities to cure diverse illness. The symbol of the pharmacy came from him. But it is a no well know god he was kind for a god and did not go everywhere banging everything.

Actually, the rod with two snakes around it is the caduceus, the rod used by Hermes (notice how it’s normally pictured with wings on top) and was associated with “trade, eloquence, trickery, and negotiation” (Wikipedia. Gotta cite your credible sources, kiddos). The Rod of Asclepius (you spelled it right) only has one snake going around it.
Somewhere along the history of medicine in the USA, the caduceus got mixed up with the Rod of Asclepius, thus making it seem like hospitals and pharmaceutical companies are bent on tricking their patients and trying to get as much money from them as possible (which may or may not be true due to capitalism. Maybe it wasn’t a mistake the two were mixed up

Remember, Ares is more the “Attack, attack, attack” type. “Live to fight another day” was Athena’s contribution to the art of war.
