Children of the Gods (Important poll #12306)

If you go back to like the 28th of April, u can see me being tinfoil hat about MC being Jeanne d’Arc.

I’m still upset about being wrong, tbh.

I remember that; I’m pretty sure I was there for it lmao :stuck_out_tongue:

But our author drew attention to “reading between the lines” and mentioned a “big thing”. I think the clues are already in place (like Regulus Black’s locket)…

I also haven’t read the early chapters since she’s rewritten them. Time to go over those again haha

Alrighty, I’ve decided to go down the rabbit hole and focus my tin-foil on the prophecy and dissect the daylight out of it. So here we go:

"When your heroes seek the truth told by the Fates
Beware the opening of the gates

I’ll take these at face value: the Bearer and Bestower will one day seek the guidance of the Fates, when they will reveal a none-to-pleasant future and start the end game.

Or maybe this very prophecy is the truth of the Fates. Or there’s another prophecy we’ve yet to see.

Look into the eyes of black
For when you do, my reasons will no longer lack.

Glossing over the Prophecy a long time ago, I thought the eyes talked about Tartarus or Hades’s eyes but these lines probably refer to the dark eyes of the brainwashed Seekers.

When I have the Essence by my side
They will create a great divide

Seems to imply that, no matter what we do, no matter if our MC likes or hates the gods, whether we fight for or against the gods, Cronus will one day have some control over the Essence again, which will create conflict. The prologue states that "The moment the children were born, there was the blinding light of the sun shining from behind the peaks of Mount Olympus, but to the North, there was also a bank of dark gloomy clouds and the roar of thunder", which could mean turbulent times are linked to the Bestower and Bearer since the moment of their birth…

In order for this part of the prophecy to be true across the board for all MCs in my theory, one outcome has to happen: Aeson will switch sides. Or maybe he’ll only switch if the MC decides to not betray the gods?

That, or Cronus somehow has immense power over the Essence. He did split it into two souls, after all

And when you see that there is no truth in your belief

The gods putting their faith on the Bearer and Bestower isn’t a good idea.

Look to the Between, for they are the source of your grief.

Now why is “Between” capitalized? It could be a proper name for a place, somewhere between two places. But then why is that word followed by “they”, which seems to refer to whatever “Between” is like it’s a person? Could the term “Between” be used as a title, like Bestower and Bearer? Is “they” being used as a gender-neutral singular pronoun? The only other time I can remember “they” and “their” being used as such, poutside of the prophecy, is in late Chapter 1-early Chapter 2:

“They slowly raise their arms, as if willing you to see that they come in peace, and take off their hood.”

What if there’s more to Saint than we think?

And blame not only them for the death of the Dove

“Them” could be referring to the Bearer and Bestower here, the heroes of the prophecy (and if my last theory was right, the Between as well). The dead doves, according to the MC’s dreams, represents the end of the world

But the one who chooses their kismet love."

So another person will end up contributing to the endtimes. “Chooses their kismet love” could mean so many people: the MC, the MC’s RO, the MC’s father (all 3 of them seem to have been in-love with Priscilla)… Or it could mean Hades or Athena. Maybe this is the reason why they seem to want to dodge each other despite the rather-obvious affection they have for each other? They might know that they could fulfill this part of the prophecy if they continue to develop their affections.

That rabbit hole ran deep…

The Between could be the realm in between dimensions like how purgatory is in between heaven and hell.

I thought about that, in-between life and death, heaven and hell sort of thing. But then who would the “they” be referring to? The souls in the Between place? Why would they be causing the gods grief? If Priscilla is in that place then I guess that’s a fairly important person “in-between” that could cause the gods grief. Hades does mention that she’s “not really dead” or something if the MC has him as a dad

Gemini, actually, I´m from June 17th so I oughta know…Either that or I´ve been living a lie

Nevertheless, it’ll be somewhat difficult fitting 14.5 billion candles on the cake, but I’m sure the gods are up to the challenge.

Hmm. A lot of us believe that Saint is in some way related to us. Imagine if the Gods had screwed up and he was actually the Bearer.

It can’t be, First we have essence magic Saint not. We remember past lives Saint not. The bearer had visions with us and remember us from other lives. Also Rohie has said we are the essence and being the super mega god is possible.
Edit: I born June fifth so Gemini no Cancer.

Haris shakes her head. “No, I swear…I mean, I considered it, but my conscious got in the way.” (When you’re given the note by Haris, about the meeting with Calypso etc.)

You all breath once more. (At wedding with nymph)

More Typos ^-^ @Rohie

What if the dead doves are Aphrodite’s doves, and they symbolize the death of Adonis. Ah, and if the MC is romancing Adonis, it would be a true Greek tale of doomed love.

The mortal realm being between Olympus and The Underworld?

I’m a real optimist at heart so I naturally find myself with a good opinion of all the characters. Perhaps this had lead to my MC’s blind trust of everyone lol? My MC just wants everyone to be friends. I’m so happy that Rohie decided to include racial diversity within the creation of the main characters because honestly it’s not something we see within the media we consume everyday so it’s so good to see. My MC really liked Saint though unfortunately I’m getting the impression that he isn’t an RO? Hello Aeson and Adonis

From what I can tell, Olympus is in the mortal plane because Saint said its in Greece. However, I now think the between is something different all together, like the combined soul of the MC and Aeson as one being instead of two.

No, confirmed that it is not romanceable he shares blood with you mortal parent family

Now that I think about it, wasn’t Olympus overlooking Texas? Though Mount Olympus, the actual mountain, is in Greece, I don’t think the Godly Olympus is.

I really think it is in Greece and not same time. It is like Harry Potter stuff the portal to go Olympus is in Greece real olympus is in a bubble dimension of its own. Also When he said we are in Greece he was talking about human greece where you could get your block spell remove ,without the spell you could go and return and Olympus from everywhere no need to go Greece.

Gah! My brain hurts from all this confusion!

Whilst this is all possible. We have never actually had a real conversation with Saint about any of it so we are in theory presuming that he isn’t part Bearer. It is possible that he does have a small amount of essence power, this could also be the reason why he was sent to find you as he might have had a connection to you and would therefore be able to find you easier. Just like You and Aeson have a connection…

@Tree

If that’s really true, hide-and-seek must have been a really boring game for them as kids…

For some reason, I don’t really believe Demigods with play that. Its probably. Hide and stab. Or hide and impress your godly parent whilst trying to stay alive.
