Children of the Gods (Important poll #12306)

I though Saint grew up at Olympus from the beginning, since momma Priscilla is not that motherly, and handed him over to Zeus after his birth?..At least that’s what he tells us (without mentioning his mother by name mind you. MC is still clueless.)

Wait, is Saint the Bearer’s older brother or a younger brother? Or maybe he’s our twin (which could possibly mean both of them were handed to the Gods at the same time).

Well, now I just want to hug him and pat his head. Poor Booboo. Olympus is no place to raise a child! Especially one of Zeus’s natural children. Too close to Hera.

@Okami-Nora We don’t know! Our MC is either very oblivious, or so in over her head that she has better stuff to do than ask Saint!

Sage is from Dublin, Ireland. Psyche was born in Seoul, South Korea. Avery is from West Virginia (not sure which city/town…I can’t decide). If you did the play through, Aeson was born in California, Calypso in Eritrea, and Adonis in Paris (of course).

Saint grew up on Olympus, and if you ask him, he’ll just barely remember where he was born. But, I decided earlier on that he would be born in Phoenix, like the MC.

That is a great question!

My money is on

@Nyxerie French is very phonetically different from the languages I already knew, which made it quite fun to learn

This might be a weird question, but are the heights of the characters anything set, or is that just up to our imagination again? And if it is, what does everybody imagine for everybody and why?

I just love to visualise characters the best I can. Information is key to that, and it’s embarrassing if I ever imagine a character and find out that they’re actually quite a bit taller/smaller than what I originally envisioned; it makes it difficult to get the original image out of my head. It would probably be a similar thing to the Calypso mishap when most people missed she had brown skin.

5’ 8" … cuz I can relate?

If this didn’t change in the meantime, and if MCs mom isn’t a timewraper (what would be really cool and maybe possible if she’s a sorceres) or had two pregnancies in a very short amount of time, Saint is probably MC’s twin. What somewhat takes the wind out of the “Saint is a mortal” theory. Not that it’s impossible, but it would be very…eh lucky? Convient? Or sharing a womb with the Bearer withdraws every halfgodly energy you have…:smirk: I don’t want to give up that theory just yet

I knew about the ScoobyGang. ( I luuuve them! I just wasn’t sure whether Saint was born on Olympus or could only ever remember Olympus!)

Is he our twin??!!:scream:
Or is it something more rare? You know like one of those pregnancies where a second baby is conceived while the mother is already pregnant, so both babies grow in the womb together without sharing an ovum. I think it is called a superfetation.

He also could lie about Zeus being his father (Or just not correcting our assumption). Atfer all he was pretty evasive when asked about it.

I don’t know about lying. In our Essence dreams, where we have visions about our companions to be, the background in which all the characters are represented seems quite significant to who they are!

Yes but I have to hold at the last strand of my theory! (It’s crumbeling under my hands like an old cookie)

He honestly also could be evasive because for him Zeus doesn’t feel like a father. That seems not that unlikely considering that…oh come on it’s Zeus we are talking about, you all know what I mean!

Rebuttal Time! :imp:

Zeus could indeed no be Saint’s Father. And yet, the only thing that changes during our dream of Saint is the sky. If the MC gets along with him, it is beautiful and sunny. If the MC doesn’t like him, the sky is dark and stormy…stormy:dizzy_face::dizzy_face::dizzy_face:

I picture my MC as 6’0", which is between the “impossibly tall” option (a few inches over 6’) and my own (5’11")

Also, I just realized that Aeson mentioned how gods have their own “affinities”. Would that mean Cronus’s affinity is time? Can he somehow take away the gods’ immortality? Can he take away Lavei’s once we win the Trials? :open_mouth:

(@Rohie see? I’m now throwing theories in the air! Ah!!!)

I imagine mine to be around 1m72, so that makes her around 5’6/5’7.

@RanchoJoe Maybe Cronus can warp time. Stop it, slow it. Maybe he can kill by making human people age tremendously fast, making someone return to ashes in seconds.
But the gods would be immune to the whole passing of time because of the whole immortality thing! They ARE gods, after all;)

The MC though… Why are you doing this to meeee! :sob:

Saint can either be our twin brother or full fledged brother through Zeus or half brother through Poseidon and Hades. Whether he is older or younger is up for @Rohie to decide.

@Rohie what are the heights our the Scooby gang with sage, psyche, and Santiago included.

Maybe he can reverse time? To a point when the gods were weaker than they are now?

@RanchoJoe You mean on a person? Like a regression that would take away the power one has built over the years? Yeah I imagine he could. But since the gods get their powers from their sources, it wouldn’t affect them much, would it?:hushed:

Or are you talking about something like rewind time? I don’t he can do that, being lock down in Olympus. And even if he could, in or out of his eternal prison, that could complicate the story with the whole temporal paradox. But in theory, he is indeed a little over powered.

You don’t need to bring up a rebuttal when I already acknowledged your point… :expressionless:

Saint is evasive when asked about Zeus. Like I said this can have various reasons, from Saint having a difficult relationship with Zeus, over maybe he didn’t knew about Zeus being really his father until the trial, to Zeus may not be his “real” father but still being the only one to take on that role. Saint’s hestiation at the ceremony could also originate from every of those points.

Maybe the symbolism in the dreams more emphasize which god has the most important role in the life / the upcoming conflict for every character?
