Children of the Gods (Important poll #12306)

As long as it’s a tap dancing small hairy potato corgi that talks in riddles I’m happy

I agree with you. That’s why I am genuinely questionning why/if he has a reputation on Olympus.

Also, perhaps, the acceptable standards are not the same wether you’re a god or a demi-god!

I actually like Harris. What, is the Bearer supposed to do their own laundry? Heck no :stuck_out_tongue:

Actually, Poseidon had more kids than Zeus. Zeus had to worry about an angry wife, Poseidon’s wife didn’t like it, but she knew at the end of the day she’ll be around forever while his affairs will all come to an end.

Actually, was hoping for someone to point out Poseidon has a consort and stuff, because given how little information we have on her, there’s so much room to expand and write about :)) at least comparatively to other figures

Amphitrite is essentially OC fodder :stuck_out_tongue: though at this rate, I doubt Rohie will be able to include her.

Also curious if we’ll see MC hanging around their dad’s fam. Like wondering how Poseidon/Zeus kids feel about MC being part of their brood, and on Hades…well now :))

@ashestoashes018, @Nyxerie, @RanchoJoe To be honest, I don’t actually have any problem with Haris (my MC may feel differently if they do turn out to be a traitor, admittedly); I just like playing off all this suspicion in the fandom.

You are thinking like a human, not like a master of universe. If they don’t want be immortal well they could live as a fenix and reborn after die. Or be a solid ghost, or you just could change their opinion about it. You could do ALL that you could imagine.
And about Chipmunk I personally don’t like her . However, It is my character who really want her dead and is so worried about her. Chipmunk has some very very suspicious activity and scenes. And She was forced into you. The room mate of the future master of universe is a patetic worthless warrior project, who Is incapable of even looking at you within shaking in fear? Of course not, it has to be someone capable of spy and control any plot we could plan. Chipmunk is or a great ninja spy or directly a minor god in disguise

Rather random thought on my part, but do you guys think the Bearer will get an intelligent animal companion at some point during the Trials (or maybe learn enough magic to turn into an animal themselves)?

I hope not. The shapeshifting maybe but even then idk.

Relationships with an imbalance of power are somewhat problematic, and often lead to disastrous and potentially abusive outcomes. It’s one thing to have your SO be the breadwinner, but to have them literally control the Universe is another thing entirely.

This becomes difficult if you’re playing an immoral character. Of course, RO’s known what kind of person MC is, but when the time comes and MC’ll have to make tough decisions, that imbalance of power within the relationship will be brought up.

Also, in regards to dead RO’s from past lives; it’s tragic and I love it.

@Rohie

How difficult is it for the ROs if the Bearer is moral?

That sounds…depressing (seriously, how much do any of the current ROs know about the life expectancy of the Bearer; for all we know, they were just as much in the dark as the past ROs and Helen). :worried:

My characters have about 80-90% of immoral stats. I also don’t think they care about they ro (except Aeson) because Whatever if x break with me I could create another version of him her whom love me or wipe out his her memory about let me. Or maybe even forget I was in love in first place.

You all seem to be very logical when it comes to RO.
My MC is kind of a Lone wolf,But with her world changing so much and so fast, she is unconsciously desperate to find something that is constant in her life, and Aeson is Just the best answer for that.

(moreover,I love tragic love story…finding and loosing your one true love through the century? Perfect.)
( okey, maybe one true love is a bit too much)

And I also think that, after gaining immortality,if your Mortal RO die,the MC would eventualy move on,and find love somewhere else. Greek gods have plenty of Lovers

You’d be a terribly tyrannical Master of the Universe, wouldn’t you? I appreciate that you could do literally anything that you imagined, but I think that if you start thinking that just because you can do everything means that it’s acceptable for you to do everything, that’s how tyrants and dictators are created.

As an example, I have no desire whatsoever to change their opinion about immortality because to me, that would not only be taking away their free-will, but I would live for the rest of eternity with the knowledge that it wasn’t actually their decision to stay with me. I could make them change their mind of course, but if it isn’t their decision then it technically isn’t even them that would be staying with me for the rest of eternity.

This is actually an interesting discussion on how people would handle power; all I’m saying is that ultimate power would be an INCREDIBLY corrupting influence for anybody, and I’m genuinely concerned for my MC that she may fall down the same path.

Given how concerned the gods seem to be over the Bearer possibly running amok, I’m surprised they don’t simply aim a mortal Bearer at Cronus, applaud Cronus’s death or banishment, then sigh a second breath of relief the moment the Bearer kicks the bucket after the fighting is done.

I think the current theory we landed on earlier is that they may possibly not have access to all of the power at once; they might need to literally be trained on how to use the power properly, with the amount of power where they could grant themselves immortality would have to be accessed sometime after their 19th birthday due to the amount of power it would take, before which time the Bearer would have of course already kicked the bucket. Or maybe they do have access to the power, but they need to learn how to control it before they use it.

Or maybe not; that’s just a hypothetical theory. A potential. One of my personal favourites.

If I am the creator of everything I am adobe all, including morality because I created it If I want I could change morality or made that concept un exist, and erase their mere existence. It would never happen. WAS never happen. Time and space are in my command and all universal laws.

That’s my point; that’s how dictators are made. If you would really be willing to change the whole concept of morality and force everybody in the universe to adhere to it just do you could go something that previously would have been frowned upon…I’ll tell you, I wouldn’t want to be ruled by you.

Forced not there is no forced if the morality never existed in first place. Also i don’t care people I could kill them and resucite them if I want. How could you force something never existed ? My universe my rules they could be thankful for being created

It might be because the Bearer was never a Demi-god before and never had knowledge of what to do to accomplish this or even how to use their power… @Rohie did say that you were never in such a positive position as you are now…
