But hasn’t the cycle of the Bearer being given unlimited power been going on since the dawn of the universe? Wouldn’t at least some of them have learned by now? That makes me think either precautions have been set in place to stop the MC from being too destructive or the Gods are simply that arrogant. If the latter turns out to be true then I agree; it will make it all the more satisfying to knock their asses into the dirt midway through them telling me they cannot be knocked down at all.
hi everyone, exiting news, this is my first comment in this forum…yeeah!
It was aallll thanks to you @Rohie, becouse I very much like your game.
I have to say that my most favourite character is Aeson, thanks for making an hero that is actualy likeable!
I wonder if you know, though, that ther is some problem with the dance scene. While dancing with Aeson,if you dance really far apart the last “choice” send you back at the hospital. Moreover,if you decide to talk about Quenn Helen the game stop.
Hope I was of help and note much of a nuisance
(also hope I did everything right…I’M NERVOUS…)
I would go for Ruthless schemer Betrayer. Apparently goes for team player and charismatic gain popularity and contestants favor while uses that favor to cause problems between people and create havoc that could help ruthless tactics.
I…feel kind of ashamed thinking I will probably choose the “vanilla option”…I have a tender heart. I know it’s the cheesy way,but I DO like happy ending
When you say no cheating, no tricks and no lies, do you mean only during the Trials?
Because being an open book when you are surrounded by people/Gods who are hell bent on using you to achieve their plans seems kind of stupid.
Also does a lie by omission counts?
Because my MC is mostly a good person but she doesn’t trust the Gods. Or their lackeys.
I would love to try being an Honorable Hero, but Allure hasn’t been a easy stat for me to raise since I always seem to be leaning toward making sure my Bearers have the skills to stay alive rather than the looks for it.
Team player it is!..maybe…we’ll see.
The gods have to have some way to control us and jailed us to their will, I hardly doubt they let us killing them so easily
One of the bigger complaints about the orginal Heroes Project was that with out a guide it was nearly impossible for people to play their types consistanty because certain choices were obtuse.
attacking the crush on sight for true hero even when at that point in the game you know literaly nothing about him for example
If youre going to have that many options for strategy types and assign pluses/minuses for inconstancies you may want to have a small group of testers go through the options with a fine tooth comb and make sure that they’re both obvious (or at least not obscure and confusing) and that they make sense with what the PC would know and dont require Metagaming
Also can I suggest tagging a mod and asking them to edit your first post with a FAQ answering things like “how do i get x for a father” and “how does godly parentage work” just to cut down on new people asking the same questions repeatedly. (:
That entirely depends on when the power is actually given; if I remember correctly, the Bearer never lives past their 19th birthday, but even taking that into account do you need an extended period of time to use unlimited power? When people envision ultimate power, it’s usually snapping your fingers and watching the universe collapse in on itself and killing everything in existence in the space of a split second.
So does the Bearer get the power from the Bestower and then immediately kick the bucket right afterwards? Not only would that render the entire point of the Bearer inconsequential, but people would have absolutely no reason to fear the Bearer. “Oh you have the power to kill us all? Well let’s just see how powerful you really are in the millisecond before you die”. The potential to destroy the universe means nothing if you can’t use it.
That’d be cool; just have it in the opening description.
“Oh and FYI: post 3449 if you’re having trouble with the whole parenting fiasco. You’re welcome”.
yesss so happy we get to charm or smart ass our way to victory thats so my MC
@Rohie please, put in each choice what strategy is. In the hero proyect three strategies ended being almost the same with minimal wording change in the choice option… So I was totally screwed because being not native a so minimally difference in meaning was lost
my characters always have the same m.o: charm their pants off while carefully manipulating them, be clever enough to not be discovered, use magic because magic is awesome. no muscles. fall in love with the most unnatainable characters of them all. cough sageson cough
I would have thought the unlimited power also equalled unlimited capacity to withstand damage.
But that raises an interesting question; if Bearers in the past have possessed unlimited power, then why did none of them ever think to make themselves immortal? Having unlimited power would mean that you’d be able to bypass any safeguards that the Gods put in place so you couldn’t do that, and if the puny power of the Gods can do that, then you should be able to as well. Or has the universe just been that lucky that every single Bearer in history has been a hero that worked with the Gods and accepted their premature death despite the fact that they could easily circumvent it? I find that not only extremely improbable, but so close to the border of impossible that I probably wouldn’t be able to see it with an electron microscope. Also, if that were the case then people shouldn’t be scared of the Bearer at all; they at this point should just accept the Bearers cooperation as fact.
@Rohie Do you have a rough idea? Or is there something in the history that I’ve missed?
Unlimited power is only useful if you know how to use it. As little as we know about it, all our past lives seem to have known nothing. If I have a super computer but don’t understand the operating system it’s just a paperweight.
You had me at “lone wolf”…What? That´s how I read it. You know, when I first played this a few months back, I told myself I was gonna be the most ruthless warrior to have ever lived, aiming to end the tyranny of the gods and put down anyone who try interfering. But then, at some point, I shifted. Then I just wanted to be a “hero” on my own terms: by doing some rather shady stuff in order to serve the light. It´s a lonely path, but I´ll handle it…Damn it, I got psyched again.
Much like with the personality choices, it’ll be really obvious. For
instance, if you’re playing the Hero route, and you’re presented with the
option to save someone of save yourself, it’d make more sense to choose the
former.
Also, fantastic idea with the mini Q&A on the first post; but I doubt many
would read it before asking here.
I assumed that ‘unlimited power’ was equal to ‘unlimited intelligence’; if you’re the greatest power in the universe, then wouldn’t that power equate to being given the knowledge to handle this power?
If you’re given ultimate power with no way of knowing how to use it, then why hasn’t a previous Bearer exploded the universe by now with their lack of knowledge of how to handle it? And if that inexperience means that they’re unable to use the power at all, then I return to my other point; why do people still fear the Bearer? Or do they only fear THIS Bearer because this Bearer alone has the potential to develop their unlimited powers through their immortality that they could potentially gain?
Man I just can’t get into characters like that!..I don’t know why! Maybe I’m projecting but these snarky, suave characters always seem so…I guess “unrealistic”? maybe I dunno. I mean sure people like that exist but I guess I’ve never been that exposed to em’ like I am in fiction…
I get so envelouped in smart and strong characters because I can’t help but see them as the underapreciated hero y’know? They come in, save the day, but because they’re soooooo socially awkward they can’t help but look bad. Especially when they’re as big as my MC’s usually are…and don’t even get me started on how adorably stupid they are at love. BTW
q&a its a great idea shame that 99℅ of the people dont even bother reading it.
