Children of the Gods (Important poll #12306)

My dad sucks? Appropriate, but I think the MC is more likely to say that about Calypso’s dad rather than Calypso. Still funny though.

This actually got me thinking; who does everyone attribute to the characters in terms of who would play them? As in what actors do people attribute to each of the main characters? It’s interesting to find out, and it may actually help with visualisation.

Yeppp. Calypso probably sees her dad as father of the year.

For me Sage is Sansa Stark and Saint as a young Aaron Johnson (Yes, Pietro Maximoff i’m looking at you.) The rest of them I don’t have a visualization. Yet. :sunglasses:

I’m terrible at this; I have no idea. I’m sure other people do, but I have nothing. Unfortunately.

The emphasis on lips duly noted and appreciated, I immediately envisioned Adonis as Charles Melton:

I’m also not very good with faces, but… Whenever I think of Calypso, I always loosely picture her as Eliza Taylor. Specifically think Clarke from The 100.

I have no idea who that is, but that’s pretty much my exact imagining of her. Kinda creepy, actually.

Also, this is who I picture as Adonis.

his name is jungkook and he’s only 18, but i still wish to date him, despite the somewhat large age gap. sobs deeply

While I do love Eliza, and the 100 is unarguably my favorite show, please note that for canon purposes, Calypso is African American. I know everyone has the right to imagine characters however they want, but since there are so few representations of AA’s as is, I’d really appreciate it if Calypso’s race is accurately portrayed, just like Saint’s and Adonis’s have rightfully been. (Especially regarding fan art and what not.)

Ah, both are Korean, then. Simpatico!

despite the somewhat large age gap.[/quote]

I get it. Completely. I often have the overwhelming urge to offer milk and cookies to anyone under 21.

African American? Wasnt her half Melanesian and half caucasian?

I thought Calypso is part Eritrean.

EXACTLY. I have friends who are 18-20 who flirt with me, and I’m just like…“no…please…I’m not a cradle robber. Please stop…” (I’m 21).

Also Jungkook is from BTS, and everyone in BTS would make a fantastic Adonis, but I think Jungkook does it best. He’s got that innocent “I’m barely an adult” vibe mixed with the “I’m extremely attractive, and I know it noona vibe.” (누나 or noona meaning older sister, which can be construed as sexual in Korea).

and it’s just…PLEASE STAHP. I’M NOT A DIRTY PERSON. PLS.

I kind of understand; it’s similar to when I refer to my friend who’s a year younger than I am (I’m 24) by saying “he’s like 12”. Simply because he’s younger than I am. It’s almost a rule of life.

Sorry @Rohie! I really didn’t mean to bend her race at all. :frowning: All I remembered from her description was the long, curly blonde hair and grey eyes. (but after replaying the game thoroughly I realized where I missed it)

As for Saint, though… I don’t recall his race ever being explicitly mentioned? It might have been and I just read too fast but I pretty much just figured he was whatever the MC was, since we have the same eyes and everything. Also IIRC we look a lot like our mother Priscilla, don’t we? Once again I really don’t know how Godly DNA works.

Saint looks more like your mother than his father, and since your appearance is the foundation for your mothers, he’s the same race as you. But notably, he shares the same eyes as you and your mother, along with some distinctive features that just scream “PRISCILLA ANGELIS IS MY MOTHER.”

It won’t be long before the MC and some other characters point it out.

Damn, this is like the Leia/Luke revelation all over again (but without the kiss)
Are Saint and MC twins?

You may want to mention dark skin a bit more then, because the last thing that springs to my mind with a Greek name, blonde hair, and grey eyes is African heritage.

African-American, eh, so she's from the USA.

Presuming that Olympus is connected to Greece, the MC is Greek by birth,

or would be, if the Olympians ever bothered to get the MC a birth certificate.

Whether the MC actually has a legal identity might be something to explore

in the game.

Where are the other kids from? Unless there’s jurisdictional issues with other pantheons (which may or may not exist, although the existence of dwarves suggest that the Norse gods might be a thing), the demigods could be from all over the planet.

I mean, it’s explicitly stated that Calypso has brown skin. I’m not sure how it could be more obvious without Calypso saying “btw, I’m black lol”

I was also under the impression that Calypso was Melanesian as well.
