I’m Charli Battersby, you might have played my game “Kidnapped! A Royal Birthday.”
My new game is “Cheerleader’s Choice,” which is inspired by my work as a real cheerleader in New York. In it you play a rookie cheerleader on a civic-minded cheerleading squad. You and your friends will cheer for your community by day. At night you’ll command a renegade pom pom squad to solve mysteries and protect the city.
The plan: I’m working on this full time, and will post weekly updates. Currently it’s about 75% done with ten chapters complete.
Demo: The first four chapters are available here: https://dashingdon.com/go/10427
Update 4/12/23
Character descriptions?
I was wondering how much detail players like when I describe the characters. I tend to avoid stating the race, skin/hair/eye color, and precise height/weight of the characters, because the game is set in New York, and the real cheerleaders I know have a very diverse look.
And because the PC can be any age, I also try to avoid mentioning exact ages, and letting the Player decide what “Young” and “Old” are.
If you played the demo, did you have clear images in your head of any of the team?
