Hahahaha
But still… What the price?
I will do anything just to be with Gabriel
If you’ll do anything don’t worry about the price you’ve already agreed to pay it.
So this thought just popped into my head; is it possible to basically do the detective path, but then betray the FBI and help the Archangels? If this has already been answered before, then just ignore this post…
I think you can and maybe you can become informant for Archangel by pretending to work as a detective
Beats a bullet to the girlfriend
The M9? Alright then, so not all officers carry the same gear, got it.
How about a .357 Deagle? Is there a caliber limit?
Nice~
I would’ve thought revolvers would be redundant by now, but I’ve been looking up videos and I can say that they’re a good firearm to have when jamming isn’t an option.
Ah, I’m assuming SWAT personnels are allowed to carry one, right? They’re issued them, so that, say, you’re robbing a bank, you’d encounter SWAT personnels carrying anywhere from shotguns, to SMGs, to rifles. Correct?
Oof… good to know. Well, you won’t have to worry about that with Gregory’s Glorious Goods.
I don’t know. What price do you want it to be?~
Life is good! Thank you for asking!
… anything?~
True. But they may take it back when they see the price tags.
Also @VioletHikari I don’t think anyone’s asked that, but, yes, you can do so and play the double/triple agent. (No quadruple agents… just… no)
Information? Anthony’s life? Force us to betray the FBI?
Frankly, at this point I think I would pay any price except killing my cat!
If Gabriel told you to kill your cat Raquel would kill him…also it’s her cat.
I would like to say “not anymore”, but we both know that cat still sees Raquel as the true master
The price for doing a detective to Archangel turn is. First off reporting the calls to kaiden behind Mouse’s back if she knows you’re a detective and with her help if she doesn’t . Then ultimately killing Anthony. If you’re an informant the price is suffering a torture session with Michael and proving you wouldnt be as weak as you were back in the police station then killing Anthony and bombing the FBI HQ
Yeah not all officers carry the same. I’ve seen only old cats carry .357s. But revolvers. Like captains and what not. Maybe some lts. They try to mainly stick with 9mm, 45, 40s and 38s. The 38 alot of officers carry them. Always good to carry a back up and a tourniquet.
Here is the specific list of what we can carry according to my handy dandy handbook
Beretta 92F/S, Beretta 8045, smith & Wesson 3rd Generation models: 459, 5904, 5903, 659, 5906, 645, 4506, 4566, 4567, 5903 TSW, 5906 TSW, 4569 TSW, and 4566 TSW, Glock 17, glock 19, Glock 22, Glock 23 and Glock 21
That being said you can be approved to carry something else like the 1911. But yeah my s&w isnt meant to be my duty pistol. It’s just a back up I had to get a ccw for it. (License to carry a concealed weapon). And its reliable and packs a punch plus without a hammer, it’s easy to pull out. A very good oh shit gun.
Yeah I dont think swat carry their own. Plus it’s illegal to own some of the guns they carry. In cali its 100% illegal to own a mp5 unless the barrel is a certain length, think the length of a m4. Can only have 10 rounds semi. Most states do not allow fully auto guns, especially smgs. But I’m sure they are allowed to bring their own if approved. But only weapon I can think of that a swat would want to bring is their sniper rifle since civilian and police are not really different. Shotguns in cali can only hold small amounts of rounds while the ones that are issued can hold more. Almost double. See where I’m going with this?
I’ll go in and buy an attachment and no gun. I’ll rob the Velvet cuts with just a scope. Yall cant hide from me now
What’s the law on undercover detective work and gun rules?
Ooo I like this
I wonder if we survive undercover as a detective if we’ll have to answer and justify what we did undercover
Do you mean when we become informant for Archangel? I think we will survive since Gabriel will surely protect us from the FBI
I don’t see why not go the full way and take them down. But I mean like
" Let’s discuss the velvet cuts heist"
You went in silently and cleared it put with no casualties.
Etc
Asking how many people you believe you killed, your biggest regrets of the mission, etc. A psych eval.
Special bonus ending don’t get your new double agent status compromised and become Gabriel’s permanent high ranking mole.
Oooh or exit interview you leave and go to Gabriel’s car and detonate the explosives you planted destroying the records and evidence rooms
@GenecoInheritor you get some leeway because it’s considered an investigation. Basically everything you do illegally, like buying guns etc. You basically have to use that as evidence towards those your trying to get. Killing, I dont know much about. I dont think I’ve herd of uc’s kill. But its gotta ge to further your role. I only met one UC and they were portraying as a druggy. They wanted to catch the supplier not the dealer. The drugs they bought was just further evidence towards the criminal. When you sell drugs, your selling contraband. Or buying it with contraband etc. If killing meant to further your own goal to capture let say gabriel. Dont be surprised if actors are used.
Edit note: according to an old cat (currently doing paper work. Boring as heck) most ucs will deny the kill unless no choice, like kill or be killed. But you need to prove that in court. Most ucs wouldn say they couldn’t because, and I quote “nice guys do exist in criminal gangs. Not all of them are psycho”
Ah, very well then. I’m also assuming you all carry hollow points except for the SWAT personnels.
Wow, thank you for the clarifications! I went on to go over the Chicago PD sidearm requirements, and apparently they’re a little less strict with the make and model as such:
The prescribed semi-automatic pistol must meet the following requirements:
- Be manufactured by Beretta, Sig, Glock, Ruger, Smith & Wesson, or Springfield Armory.
- Be chambered in 9mm, .40 S&W, or .45 ACP.
- Be double-action only, hammer or striker-fired.
well then. I will assume some officers carry two sidearms.
Ah, it seems the internationally common theme of “Less rounds in firearm” is still a thing. Well, at least Canada doesn’t have weird fixed stock/thumbhole grip laws…
I’m also very confused about shotgun. Because I’ve seen a lot of police videos where police use shotgun with bean bags against armed assailants… Are you not allowed to carry buckshots? Or even birdshots at least?
The few instances where I did see police use buckshots were mostly in raids, or the iconic North Hollywood shootout (where even then, it did little to no effect against soft body armor)
I want to present the police as more of a first runner up “Oh shit, here’s the cops” type of thing (No offense), and the swat to be “Oh shit, we better get out of here” type of element. So I was hoping to make some police officers a little bit more lethal and the SWAT officers a whole lot more dangerous.
Well, at least they can’t charge you for illegal firearms
That is a very good question…
That is a very good answer…
But, actors? As in, they don’t really kill anyone? I was hoping to get the MC to be more of an “independent” informant for the FBI rather than being an agent. I don’t know if that’s even possible, because technically, they were a UC officer from the NYPD, and technically still is unless the FBI decides to fully induct them into the FBI.
This is all FBI questions that I rarely find answers to online, so I’m just writing to the best of my ability
Let’s just say that, Gabriel will always protect those he really cares about… unless those he cares about betrays him…
Well, a debrief would sure be one of the things you’d have to go through, but for plot purposes, the branch to becoming a double agent to side with the Archangels after becoming an informant will happen way before that.
Case and point: Charlie, and Mouse, who are literally too afraid to kill someone unless they were forced to.
I do like to potray the “not all bad guys are bad people” thing, and you do in occasion find Outfit members who were just doing as they’re told and don’t really have any intention to kill you. You will find these people more and more the farther into the game you progress.
As the Don’s power falters, so does his soldier’s motivation…
Awwwww this is why I freakin LOVE him
I will never do that
Quintuple Agent

Twist: Mouse works for Corigan
