BREACH: The Archangel Job - (Released! | Discussion) New Discord

Let’s meet Megan at the laundromat rubbalubbadubbdubb

If revenge isn’t possible then Detective path is a big honking middle finger to the player so I don’t think I’m too naieve to assume some sort of payoff is coming.

I like you, Rook.

In Detective path I could like him. Anyone trying to kill Gabriel is ok in my books.

I return to the land of the living after long stressful days of work. Finally played the update. Accuracy is working flawlessly…a little to flawless. It’s funny to go from having 0 accuracy and having over abundance of accuracy. Issue I’m noticing now is weapon knowledge is now lacking. Where 20% would always land me a 0-6 which idk if intended which tbh isnt a bad thing. To me that stat seemed like a good filler. Where accuracy is more important, weapon is a good secondary. Also no matter what I couldnt help mouse as under cover. I would use a med kit on her/him to the point they are basically a wrapped mummy. Same outcome. Lastly when I use the safe word the cops always look at me like I’m a rambling lunatic. Which isnt to far off. Idk if this is intended or not.

Over all fun update. I enjoyed the criminal one alot. It’s far more satisfying than under cover. Under cover feels more rushed? No not rushes. Feels like it’s very light. As if its preparing for something big. While criminal seemed beefy. Using math as an example. Under cover, to me. Is 1+3=4. While criminal is 2+2=4. Makes sense? I hope.

Um… I haven’t updated anything.

Wait, what? I haven’t even uploaded the fix yet…

Hmmm… that’s weird. I’ll see what’s wrong with it when Ben wakes up.

What safe word did you use?

Yes, this is very true… that’s all I can say.

Yup, makes sense, considering the equation isn’t done yet.

Right now, I intend it to feel like this:

Criminal: 2 + 3 + ? = 10

Cop: 1 + 2 + ? + ? = 10

… tbh, it’s rather obvious what the “?” are

So there wasnt an update on the 13th and I’m just a rambling mad man? Sounds about right. Working night shifts does that to a mind. Regarding mouse, I’ll take some ss of it when i can. Maybe I’m just really unlucky. I used blue which i could of sworn it was that. Unless, again, I’m just a rambling mad man. But the equation makes sense and i rather the last parts remain a question mark. Dont want all the fun to be spoiled  also towards accuracy I guess it fixed itself? It’s weird, as you saw in the ss it was low but now it seems fixed. I’m not sure it that happens or maybe those times I played I triggered a rare bug?

He made an account he told me. But something he posted won’t go through. So you know. Bye forum.

1+2+?+?= 10

2?= 10-1-2

Oh! you mean that. Yeah. There was an update.

I meant I haven’t uploaded any of the fixes yet.

That’s not the reply :joy: That is the first part of the code. You’re supposed to reply with the second

It was apparently broken in the non-randomized version of the scripts, so I don’t know what’s going on with it.

Congrats! You’ve caught a rare bug!

Oof… well, he can roam in the darkness as much as he wants.

No…

? + ? = 7

The two ? may or may not be different variables.

He might want me to comment something on his behalf. Sure thing.

Sure. It’s just a result if you consider ? and ? to be the same variable.

Wonderful!

Wait… you’re a police officer in real life?

Wow… What do you think of the cops in the game? They’re meant to be realistic per say, but I try my best to make things believable.

If you have more things to comment on, I’d be happy to read them! Any feedback is better than no feedback!

I couldnt comment much on the FBI since I personally never worked with them. But I do know they rather be anywhere else instead of where they are currently at. Swat in this game seem a little incompetent. But I assume you base it off the Hollywood incident? Basically a good example of what police/swat look like against a force that out guns them. As for regular police force, in the beginning two officers would never split up like that. I dont want to go into to much here since you mention you plan to change it. But partners always stick together. Unless the context dictates otherwise like one is trigger happy and other is to afraid etc. Most of the time they would get cover, call in reinforcements and assess the situation. To determine if it’s worth going in now or better to stall. Especially if hostages are involved. Atm heist is pretty accurate. Boots, new cop, normally jump to conclusions quickly. Fart and he will think it’s a gun shot and try to respond. While OG will know it’s just a fart and to respond accordingly. With experience and the fact their always tired. 16hr shifts are brutal. If a cop is shot and left alive. Expect them to radio shots fire officer hit and expect every police officer and their mother at the scene within mins. When you hurt a cop expect an army. Other then that I need to look more into it. End of watch is a really good example of how police act. But if you like I can look more into the police moments in your game in more detail. Purposly fail heist for interaction with police. Sorry for long post.

I stand corrected. Apparently my partner informed me boots is just a local nickname. It’s actually not a real term.
I stand corrected again my partner is an idiot

I actually haven’t added stuff too, and I noticed, yes. I’ll discuss it with the rest for what I’ve found. It’s very nice to hear from you for you seem to be more familiar with polices such as those where Breach takes place in.
This would be a good addition to our research.
It’s very different where I live in. My cousin is part of the Presidential Security Force, but. Well it’s quite different.

Oh yeah. I continued Carmilla’s read earlier and it reminded me that I used to go eat with soldiers at KODIM (Military District Command) back in the city where I grew up. And one of the soldier’s wife used to nurse my younger brother lol.

The full might of the FBI is elsewhere, handling different matters which takes much more of a priority. (Right now, they’re working with the DEA in the west coast states) Which was why so little effort are put into taking down the Archangels until Anthony can actually prove that The Archangels are more of an issue than they realize.

But when Megan was captured, the FBI responded seriously (and hastily).

Not so much as outgun as much as they were outmaneuvered and out-prepared.

They were ready for armed and dangerous criminals with machine guns… they weren’t ready for The Archangels (and Rook and Bishop). The fact the Main Trio all received special forces training is one thing, but the fact that the entire Mill was picked specifically for it’s defensive structures gives the Archangels much more of an advantage, even when the FBI had the surprise advantage.

Pile that upon the fact that there’s only 1 entrance, and they escaped by making another exfil route that the FBI never even saw, and the odds are stacked against the FBI.

I’ll keep that in mind when I do the changes.

Quick question, is it true that they always pair rookie cops with experienced cops? Or pair two cops that have little to no chemistry.

Mother? … Really?

Another question. While writing the police stand off at the jewelry store, I was going to include the paramedics going in, but my friend (also a cop) told me that police always have paramedics away and possibly even out of sight from the area. Is it true?

I have that movie. I really need to watch it.

Please do! and don’t worry about long posts, I love reading anything that can possibly improve my writing… even when they hurt.

… Is it possible to request a new partner?

Oh yeah, that reminds me. @Elegy is every police force for different cities and counties always different? Or could I possibly compare NYPD with CPD?

You might want to add more description regarding of that so they’d get it without readers hearing it directly from you. Or perhaps a chance for every MC to point out how the FBI seemed “lazy” before H-- Megan.

But remember that it’s your verse. You can even make weed legal among them lol.

…Seriously?

Right. @Elegy should know better regarding of the similarities some countries may have in their system. Some countries has different law enforcement. There are those with different police entities, there are those unilateral, independent like Japan’s, Indonesia’s national police, China’s PPAP-- PAP…, Canada where Hayne used to be, you name it.

@HojiroShark I sure hope there is a difference between your bros job and mine. He got the training I wish we all got lol. Plus better pay no doubt.

@MichaelMaxwell I never met an FBI agent so idk. Like I said I just know they rather be somewhere else no matter where their at. That is according to and old cat. I dont think swat would go half cocked like that. Normally before they rush in they plan. Granted no one can prepare for the taco eating destroyer of worlds. Itll be a tad more organized plus it wouldnt be just swat. Cops would surround the location except for the new entrance. Also there would be a chopper somewhere. When a cop is shot. Its serious business. We are a family, no one fucks with our family. My partner is a cool dude. He was in the navy so he has a sailor mouth. Which sometimes includes talking before thinking. We change partners if we want but I like em. Plus I’m dating his sister so I rather not piss off that family.

Regarding boots, yeah you get partnered up with an old cat. Or at least someone who knows what their doing. But if your working for the sheriffs that’s a whole different can of beans. As for mixing two cops up that never get along. I dont think this is true. At least where I work. The srg normally dont sit at their desk going “hmmm these two ass hats who hate each other would do well together” it’s more what plays to strengths, weaknesses or random. My current partner I got along well very quickly.

Now about different police forces. We have the big three. Police department, sheriff department and highway patrol. Both highway and sheriffs are county while police departments are city. For example sheriffs normally get more territory. While pd are more in a specific area. If a city can afford PD they get pd. If they cant they go sheriffs. Sheriffs are legit af. A good example is a sherif can protect two houses while pd will protect one. I hope that makes sense.

Every police department is different depending on the area. Comparing Chicago to ny isnt entirely inaccurate but is? We all receive very similar training with minor differences. I think NYPD is slightly more funded than Chicago? Only minor differences. Nothing really dramatic. If your talking about personality wise. I think Chicago pd are arrogant but earned that right. That city I hear is borderline a warzone. Chicago pd are probably more suspicious and aware than other departments. Like they expect the worse more than hope for the best.

Did I miss anything? I hope this was helpful.

I’d rather not go political…

Ah, very well then. I’ll go through the scenes again and see how I could improve.

Not even Gabriel could prepare for them…

Wow, okay. Good to know!

All these nomenclature really makes me believe that cops actually do talk like in the movies…

Also quick question, would an officer’s radio have direct connection to dispatch? Or do they really have to go back to their car to call in for backup?

This I’ve already gone through in my research. Apparently, Chicago is part of Cook county. So would the Cook County Sheriff be helping the Chicago PD? Or would they let the PD handle the Archangels themselves? Or do they not have jurisdiction over Chicago PD at all?

Also one of the things I’ve researched, apparently, the NYPD has 4 times the ammount of funding Chicago PD has.

They don’t call it Chiraq for nothing…

Also, in this universe, the Chicago PD is pretty chill eversince the Outfit took control. But since the Archangels came along, they’ve grown more aware.

It was VERY helpful, thank you for your insight!

Yeah we sometimes have dumb nicknames. But it’s pretty universal. You wont hear us calling each other strange nick names. When shits real we say their name. When we call each other nicknames its mainly teasing. Like calling someone boots is like calling someone rookie, noob etc and yes we carry radios that is direct connection to dispatch. You’ll see some officers with extensions attached to their shoulder so you easier access. When you see cops go for car radios in let say movies. Besides being dramatic. Some times it’s easier to do that and safer. Would you rather have a radio in hand or a gun? So when your behind your car for cover you can call in back up instead of reaching for your radio. But most cops got the extension. So much easier. They really have that much of a difference in budget? Jesus. Yet they still get paid shit like the rest of us lol.

The way it works, at least from where I’m at. Is sheriffs would help. I mean if a sheriff sees a bank robbery they sure as hell ganna try to stop it. But once its done. Who ever jurisdiction they are in would do the arrest. I’ve been called to arrest someone once in a court house which is sheriff territory only because the man was detained in the hall, inches from a court room. If it was in the court room sheriffs handle it but since it was in a hallway, it’s now cities problem. Good times.

Its confusing how it works sometimes. I never had a situation where we had the sheriffs join us in making an arrest as back up. But I’m pretty positive if we need it or vice versa. It wont matter. Just paperwork in the end
