It… It was all for nothing…:sob:

No review posts today, your fingers can relax…

Tomorrow though…

Hmmm, it does make sense, both in regards to game structure and where chapter 1 ends.
Maybe put the split between the two parts either after being arrested or after accepting the job offer from Gabriel, instead of where the prologue ends now?

It is possible to code the game to check the inputted name against the names of major characters. Then you can either tell them to input something else, or warn them and ask if they want to change it.
Possible, but quite a bit of extra work.
(You could also have characters react to the names being the same, but that’s ridiculous amounts of work…)

I like it.
Usually, I input one of my goto names, but if I play a game multiple times, it can get annoying having to come up with something. And some players just use whatever’s provided.
It’s also a good way to show what kind of names fit into the game world.
And sometimes there’s a really nice standard name that I’ll then chose to use, and that always makes me really happy, for some reason.

Oh, that’s awesome! I haven’t tried any of them yet.
The silly names does fit in well with the general humour of the game.

Eh, it’s an extremely common misconception, which is why it peeves me so.
And it doesn’t make sense with how the same universe can’t know both the answer and the question…

I don’t know whether I should try to avoid that in the future, or take it as a challenge.

Well, you can code in punctuation that will only be there if there’s no additional lines, but again, lot’s of extra work.

Using that would give more of the right impression than the “t-the” etc. At least for me.
Also using those triple periods, which I can’t remember the name of, and the words put in between dashes in the middle of sentences. I don’t know the term for that one in english. :expressionless:
That puts me more in mind of how people speak, casually.

Would you prefer I give examples of how I think it could be improved, or just point out where I think there are problems?

That’s fine, it’s mostly the amount of it that makes me feel awkward. Even changing a few will help that a lot.

I think it works really well.

You do know you don’t have to fix everything the moment you receive the feedback, right?

Take care of yourself! :hugs:

I kind of liked the original one more, but this one is also nice. I guess the reason why I like the red one more is because I’ve become so accustomed to seeing it all the time .

Aw, you’re so sweet!

Pft, my inner demons don’t control me, I control my inner demons and the inner demons of those around me! IW-what I mean is, I’m pure and innocent, I don’t have demons! Yeah, that’s what I meant! :innocent:

Not all…

Just, relax on the periods. Nitpicking is encouraged but it’s not advisory when it comes to fixing something that can’t be fixed… though most times the periods are actually just missing.

How so? I honestly like it when a chapter or chapter part starts with the MC waking up. Makes for a good set up…

Ben already hates me from all the fixes yesterday… I don’t think he’ll be doing anything much for today.

Then I shall include some really generic names!

A few minutes later

DONE! … In hindsight, I should’ve asked Ben to do this, but he’s had his fair share of fixes so I’ll let him rest.

I try to include as much reactions as possible.

… that is, when I remember them.

Well… this is an alternate universe~

Goddamn it…

Well, keep them coming then!

I’ll put them in the next time I write…

To replace those I’ve already written is just… wow… to say that it’s a “lot of extra work” is an understatement.

Yeah, true… I’ll try to keep them in mind. Let me know if you see one that needs changing!

Just point them out. But if you have anything particular you’d like me to fix with it, go ahead!

Ellipsis… I use a lot of them… A LOT!

Sometimes too much… mostly because I write things how I’d hear them in a dialogue.

Um… I’m sorry?

I think I’m good with making my game better every step of the way in every way possible.

A good developer listens to it’s community. Some people write for themselves, others write so that other people may enjoy. I write this game for the community to enjoy. It’s my game, sure, but it’s my game that I made for the world to enjoy!

Will do! Thank you for the amazing review!

Hmmmmm… I actually do kinda like the red version of this thing, so WHY NOT?!

… Ookay then! Totally not creepy!

Yes, later at the end of chapter 5, which has not yet been written…

Oh, @MichaelMaxwell’s pfp is red now…

That is indeed demented-looking.

Keep it.

Wait, this is a bad thing… why exactly?

Reminding myself to answer this, and the rest of the post, when I’m more awake…

Thanks!

Took 5 minutes to draw…

… I am now curious.

Yes, but they can also have inner angels~

… though honestly, it’s mostly demons with halos and white dyed wings.

Oh no! It’s already gotten to you!

Makes note to remind self to later re-do the entire first chapter

Don’t you dare overwork yourself, Michael, or I will find you, and force you to drink tea, and eat cookies, and pet kittens!

Wait… That’s not a very good threat. Dammit.

I, um, kind of feel embarrassed about it right now . So anyways, changing the subject, I can’t help but notice you never answered my question about whether or not there were Lucifers :slightly_smiling_face:

Minus the tea drinking part, I want that kind of threat! :confounded:

But overall, I agree with @The_Lady_Luck about not overworking yourself.

I have 30+ types of tea in my cupboard, and I know how to get more!

But I guess, if it’s impossible to find one you like, it could be “hot bewerage of the persons choice”.
(Though we all know tea is superior.)

Sorry it’s just as a kid I had a bad experience with tea, and now they all taste the same to me…

Don’t worry, I’ll be doing that anyway!

You’d make a great negotiator.

Technically, yes.

The original Archangels in Canada would give their enemies callsigns with names from the 7 Princes of hell. With varying degrees of dangers with Belphegors being the lowest bosses, and Lucifers being top boss.

This practice is not used by Gabriel in his expedition to start an Archangel chapter in the US with reasons being that he wishes to keep things simple and to differentiate the more practical US chapter from the originally more traditional Canadian chapter.

Gabriel didn’t want the US chapter to be a permanent thing as his main goal lies elsewhere. The main difference between the US and Canadian chapter is the fact that the Canadian chapter is much more widespread yet incredibly well organized. The US chapter is operated with merely skeleton crews in each city.

… Shit, I may have let out too much.

A warm cuppa in your hand, a blanket around you and a cat on your stomach as you lay sit on your couch is the best thing ever~

Oh shush. If I’m awake, I can still type.

… Somewhat.

Pfffft… I have contacts to a supplier from my last supermarket that can get me over 50 different brands for a cheap batch purchase… Perks of being that one person who chats with the inventory folk.

Sips Earl Grey

Oof, I’m sorry to hear.

I had a horrible experience with my first time drinking tea.

I was 9 months old, and the first tea that ever went into my mouth was incredibly bitter… and now I’m addicted to it. Cheers, love! :tea::coffee::beer:

How… how do you remember that? You were only 9 months, how can you possibly remember something that happened to you when you were a baby?! :scream:

Anyways, thanks for answering my question, though now I feel like a jerk for (somehow) forcing you to answer it

I didn’t… as you can tell by my incredibly aweful memory.

My mum told me the story.
