- White heart means flirt and black heart means romance, but I might change that soon, so keep that in mind.
- Before the Incident is the prequel to Remnant 21. I wrote Remnant 21 first, but that book is now on hiatus, since I’m working on Before the Incident right now.
- Unfortunately no, by the end of the prologue you will have to make a decision where either the MC lives or AA

Hi Everyone,
Just wanted to give you all an update, I’m still hard at work with Before the Incident. However, there are some things I thought down the road and it’s with warnings about ROs. Should there be a disclaimer that some ROs are temporary as in, they will not be apart of the story by the end of it? I’m curious to hear about your thoughts and opinions.
Should there be a disclaimer of which RO is temporary at beginning of the story?

Hey I really like the game so far! I am on Chapter 4. But I am currently learning about the immune system and I wanted to suggest a change for the scene in which we save axel as painter. We draw a “Neutrophile”. However given the fact that we are fighting a parasite it would make more sense to draw a eosinophile, basophile or mast cell since neutrophiles are primarily against bacteria and viruses and the once I listed actually defend against worms and parasites. I know I am being pedantic here so feel free to leave it but I thought maybe you would find this interesting

I wanted to give an announcement that the update will be coming around the end of January. I would consider it one of the shorter updates, but I hope you will enjoy it. Long story short, a lot of life stuff happened near the end of the year, so progress was on and off. I hope to see you there at the update!

The prologue and setup of Before the Incident are compelling, especially with the moral choices and revenge-driven narrative. The inclusion of male, female, and non-binary options along with multiple romance paths makes it highly inclusive. Your world-building is strong, and the pacing in the prologue hooked me immediately.
For feedback, watch for minor pronoun consistency issues, particularly in dialogue and introspection sections. Also, consider clarifying the rules of the Contract and how the Devils influence the story early on so players fully understand the stakes. Overall, this is a very engaging WIP with strong character and plot hooks that encourage players to explore multiple paths.

Hi! New reader here! I just want you to know that I read the first chapter, and what happened to Anna at the end, I will never forgive
(Let’s just say I could have suspected that this great happiness was just the calm before the storm). Actually, the main reason I’m going to continue reading now is because I’m curious,how can you achieve that my MC can find another woman, because right now I can’t imagine that, to forget her and not feel like I’m betraying her. But if you can achieve that, then I have all my respect!

Do old saves work?

Hello! Unfortunately, new variables have been added in the startup file, so you will have to make a new save, this is most likely the norm for every update with the way CoGDemos works, and there’s not much I can do :c

Does the demo end where Helen destroys the higher demon ??
Cos I loaded an old save and the demo continued to this point

Yes, that is where the demo ends. If that’s the case, that’s interesting because I uploaded plenty of new variables for this update that old saves shouldn’t have. I know for sure on dashingDon there would have been a bug regarding that, but maybe CoGDemos is different (?)
I can’t really say for sure though, but I’m glad that you were able to start from an old save

So there seems to be a glitch that, when skipping to a specific act, if you choose a custom tie color it takes you back to the mc’s gender choice rather than H’s gender choice. Also is the A/B & H cooking route supposed to end so abruptly? For me at least, it ends after you finish the donuts but you never present them. It just cuts to Ib and then goes to chapter 10 where you’re already outside

Hello!
Thank you for pointing out these bugs, I checked back in the code and the A/B & H cooking route should not have ended abruptly. There were some version issues where it seems like the last part of that scene got cut out. It should be fixed now though And I also hope you’re enjoying the story as well!
