Hi hi, I think I found a jump in the game. I was not feeding chips to the geese with Syo and clicked on continue and the game jumped to chapter 3 where we are in the car with the police officer Axel.

If you saw something like the screenshot above, it should be correct. I just forgot to write “Chapter 2 End”, but it should jump to chapter3 as intended!

I love Apollo so it breaks my heart that theyre just dead the entire game 
i wish we had more time as a couple. Abel is great too tho

@Khotun Essentially, yes, the MC with Arbiter at that moment was able to believe the lie that the words they see can become reality, although there was a lot of dangers to it, such as cleaving your soul. Not only that ‘Xiao’ played a big role in helping the MC unlock that power temporarily, so it’s definitely an anomaly case for the most part. I have to admit, it was really fun to write though 
@legitpro123 I’m glad you like Apollo, and don’t worry you’ll definitely get to spend some time with Apollo in the other path for Act 2 (where you crash out) when I finish it :^) and thank you for saying “Aboslute Cinema.” I love that!

@Remnant Is there any unique power synergy with the ROs? Like does MCs with the Wanderer powerset mesh well with Tenth and Abel/Belle for example? Also, is the RO list at the top of this forum going to get adjusted since from the list, it doesn’t look like that Helen is included. And I hope that last person is not Ib. Cause who in their right mind would want to romance them after what they did to us.

There hasn’t been a scenario where the MC fights alongside with Tenth, Syo, or Abel/Belle in a synergistic way. But if you’re asking for fun, I guess the best synergy with Tenth would be with Wanderer and Painter. With Syo and Abell/Belle, Arbiter would obviously be the best methinks 
I have plans to write three different fights depending on the MC’s Contract with a corresponding ally and opponent for Act 3!
I’ll get to adjusting the list sometime, I’m just trying to focus on continuing the story, so my priorities in updating the ‘advertising’ part of the book is low priority. I hope you enjoyed the story!

Should we expect to see new powers during the Prologue in the future? Just curious.
Unfortunately, no, juggling three powers is quite a lot for me, and I’d like to try to make this book a standalone, so I’ve been holding myself back on a lot of potential features/storylines so this game doesn’t suffer from overbloat

3/9/2025 Update
Hi Everyone,
I finished writing the alternative path of the duel in Chapter 8. I guess in modern slang, it’s considered the “Crash Out” path. You can get this path if you let out your frustrations at the end of Chapter 7 or if you deny using the crystal dagger with Xiao in Chapter 8. This section is about 11k words in total, so I’d consider this a mini update. I added a skip to chapter 7 button if you skip act 2. (This skip button appears at Chapter 5, so the beginning of Act 2)
Anyway, happy reading!
Edit: Congratulations for Anna/Apollo for winning the anniversary poll, as promised I included a bonus scene involving them in this path where you can hang out with them

btw. the new words i know nothing about keep pop up in the game. rule ? nest ? property ? authority ?
maybe it the because a long period between updates and i jump to ch7 without re-reading the prev scene but it’s kind of forgettable… the finish game should have some kind of codex so i can look it up again

I’ll consider it when I get my code in order, it’s just a mess right now and I need to revamp a lot of things 
Arbiter might be a bit OP, but good thing it’s only OP when the MC is under some unusual circumstance. As for the new terms, they’ll be further explained in the story in future updates

Started again and remembered oh right. This is revenge on revenge. Not that interested in vengeance kicks, more interested in, dont let it happen to others instead. Vengeance is annoying.
Will have to catch up, Anna was my LI. Stopped at training session before.

Hello Everyone,
I hope you’re all doing well! It seems as if there is a general positive reception to the current update, so I’m happy with that. As for the plans for the next update, this is what I hope to bring (Subject to change):
- Chapter 8 - Add slightly more content in the Frustration Duel Path.
- Chapter 9 - Introduction to a new team member, worldbuilding via side missions, flesh-out antagonists of this new arc
- Chapter 10 - Battle Against a New Type of Enemy, Hangout with certain characters
- Chapter 11 - Battle against the arc’s antagonist. (Differs depending on your Contract)
I’m not sure if it has been noticed, but there were the introduction of three new characters in the intermission. Depending on the MC’s contract, it focused on a specific character out of that bunch. More to see, but the next update it probably going to be another 50k words!

Hi everyone, I drew a potential book cover for Before the Incident and I was wondering if it could replace the current cover I have as of now. Graphic design wise, I was inspired by the Bleach Manga covers, so if the premise is familiar, that’s what I based it off of! I did want to preface that this is a drawing of my interpretation of Syo, so I marked it as a spoiler in case people didn’t want to see it.

As much as I like this new cover, for the sake of your potential readership, you may want to consider figuring out a way to include Tenth. The reason is because if people do choose to judge a book by the cover, regardless of the description, they might mistake Syo for being “the intended MC” which we know isn’t the case here, but elsewhere that could be a problem.
People have clicked off of things for less, which isn’t fair, obviously, but it is how things tend to be sometimes.
