Battlemage: Magic by Mail—Defend your kingdom with forbidden magic!

No, your winning and loosing depends on jousting. If its a tie with another, then they compare has more points in sword fight and archery.

I was foolish and just using my strongest attack to finish the fight in a single round instead of dragging the fight to earn maximum points

Ugh I see now I understand but I don’t think Achery will provide that much point unless if you select Achery in the first tournament maybe it will balance the point in the second

Archery is the only one where you can’t get perfect 30 or more than 30.its random. Even if you have God like skill (agility), you will randomly get 8-10 points for 3 shots if you aim carefully

And, you don’t need to select between archery/sword fight… You can do both

And if you truly want to skip one event but still want to win the tournament, then join the sword fight. It’s relatively easier to get more points than archery

Ok but does it have to be perfect to become tournament champion

No. You actually need to get 80+ points in jousting to win the second tournament.

Huh but in the first tournament I had to choose

No, it was for which one you will do first. You had the choice to do both.

Your second event happened during the jousting of your knight. You had to choose if you want to support him or take part in your competition

Ok something is wrong there I wasn’t given the option or maybe I didn’t notice it but after choosing one I end up doing jousting ok sorry my fault I was talking about the first tournament but yeah I competed in all of them in third tournament I just wish we could have become a magic instructor

Is there any guide to trophies?

For teacher’s pet…
After finding out about the el cano, guide him to do good deeds by sending you reinforcement in the final battle. You need to be loyal to your country.

Oh no, I am getting wrong romance

Is there any way to save the queen without illusion magic? It’s a real pain to build up since all the earliest stuff you can try with it is super unethical. Besides, I’m going for necromancy.

Also, I tried to romance Fizza the first run but for some reason despite our mutual interest, things didn’t work out. Any tips?

Raise class and Queen RP

Which question is this a response too?

Since the romance issue seems to be a common problem, I’ll just straight out say you will end up with whoever has the highest stat. This was a simplification for the fact that you can romance multiple people in one run, so it just calculates whoever likes you most.

If I could go back and do it again, I would develop the relationships a lot more and have more active choices for the options in the end, but structurally other things took precedent unfortunately.

You need 70+ relationship

I see. Some more things I was wondering.

  1. according to @Sotter, I need to raise both class and the queen’s relationship if I don’t have high illusion, so any advice on how to do so and what levels I need in each would be helpful.
  2. Is it possible to get the enemy necromancer to switch sides? Or survive at least?
  3. I have no idea how Arcane Corruption is supposed to work. Apparently it comes from doing things you find immoral, but I didn’t see any opportunities to decide what I considered immoral.
  4. When we speculate on what weapons we could acquire (scythe, saber, whip) is there a way to actually get such a weapon?
@anon12679161 How many strikes would you recommend?

You’ve asked for a lot of spoilers so I’m just going to step back and let the community talk about answers like those.

  1. I don’t think class matter. The only thing matter is if you can provide real proof. But if you are on the epilogue, and trying to convince the queen, then (Royal+queen relationship) needs to be more than 90. Otherwise, she will trust contessa more

And, if you are in the ball, you don’t have high illusion(45+), you can’t discover the secret yourself, so, you need high class(65+) in order for contessa to tell the secret herself.
If, you are on public tournament, you need 45+ class, 35+ illusion
  2. no switching sides.she is not a traitor to her country, just doesn’t like her ruler

she will survive if you loose the war, but are you going to loose the war so a random person will survive?

  1. Corruption comes if you misuse your magic.
Like, cooking chicken with magic fire, cheating in a competition, etc
  2. No, you can’t get such weapons. It’s just an imagination about what if for the mage. These kinds of weapons doesn’t really suit a knight/squire.

I had to code dive for the first one. There’s many different route. So, it still might not be what you actually need

Thanks, much appreciated. Only things I’m still not clear on is how one gains class. I feel that may have been a low stat on my first run, and what precisely constitutes misuse of magic. I get the cheating, but how is cooking a chicken a misuse of magic? That sounds incredibly silly.

Well, I am not really sure. But when you can cook properly, why use magic. It’s not helping anyone. So, it must be a misuse of magic
Also, pranking your co squire with dead frog is also bad.
