Sorry, I don’t think him being a Sir would have helped much in luring a Marquess. Her father happens to have been knighted and he’s landed gentry, but the knighthood isn’t inheritable by his kin. He doesn’t have a title, he’s not a Lord, and not a member of the peerage.

Marquess is like the 3rd highest status of the British peerage, below Royalty and Dukes, it going to take more than that.
That being said, I still think Charlotte should be an RO. Mostly because I want to romance her in all her practicality glory.
