My MC’s way too calm…and engineering is the lowest stat. pouting. What can I say, I’m good at making bad decisions.

How? Would we have to versus other grandchildren, and the winner would be Roshan’s fave?

I fulfilled all those requirements in my first playthrough, but never got the Silver Fox achievement. Weird. I figured that if he didn’t like me enough, he wouldn’t have come on as my assistant.

My daughter had the same issue, but it turns out she wasn’t picking the ‘sweeter’ options, like telling him he’s just like crew. And if you don’t help him immediately in the ion storm with the cargo, it didn’t seem to trigger the RO later. Mortal terror makes for good pre romance.

I’ll try to do a step thru.

I’ve even gotten him to go with my MC when they joined DRT and went to colony-prep Jupiter/Saturn. He was not the RO that time (Dylan was).

Yes, from a practical perspective, rather than a feelings one, preserving and protecting the cargo is super important!

If, for instance, you give up the cargo to Solib, the only way of romancing him is to then take down Solib for T-PES, but even then IIRC it’s tough.

Hmm are their any alien races?

No, there aren’t - it’s a pretty low sci-fi setting. I’d say down to earth, but that’s not right!

Interestingly enough, when I actively monitored interactions, there are a lot fewer that influence Victor (and that is a positive for me).

Keep in mind this is an experienced captain who is the former engineer/union leader with most choices leaning pragmatic and calm, who is also of the save everyone ideal.

Long and major spoilers, obviously.

Summary

I did aim for the polite, positive interactions, even though most don’t directly effect Victor’s relationship. You will lose small amounts for helping the stranded ship and the irradiated Nova folk, but the are negligible.

Big choices:
With leadership as #1 or 2, when Oscar and Victor conflict over stopping to meet the Nova, calm them both down. Big Victor boost.

When TPES is coming on ship after the Thorn Chaser, Victor will ask you to keep his business private. Choosing to tell him he should try being nice when he doesn’t need something is a big boost.

On Mars, take him out to lunch at the small, out of the way restaurant, but explain it is because you won’t be looked for there. When he slips and talks about family, let it slide and chat about building a strong work relationship.

Celebrate the winter holidays and invite Victor. He won’t come, but he’s happy to be invited.

I failed on finding the stowaway before Victor, got between them in the fight, and gave Brogan safe haven. Victor summoned the captain for a drink… everything was null on effecting the relationship, until I chose the ‘don’t want to see you unhappy, you’re like crew’. After this point, Victor’s relationship was at 75%. He starts getting a bit touchy feely at this point i friendly ways.

Helping him with the cargo in the storm with no leverage took it to 80.

The next important scene is him inviting for drink and suggestion to join DRT. I chose being surprised DRT would want me and followed by asking if Victor was in danger. 84%.

My captain passed the TPES inspection and warned Brogan off Dylan, which led to the confrontation. I avoided any interactions against Victor until the option to say they have a positive working relationship, no need for blackmail. 85%.

In keeping the cargo from Solib using a bluffed ambush, there’s another boost. 88%.

Next interaction boost was after Becca comes onboard. I took Victor away privately to talk and offered to help with other merchants. 89%.

Lost 8% by going to save the merchant ship at the end, so I ended with 81%, became governor, and gave him assistant job. Voila Silver Fox scene.

Oooh I love this one! I am excited to have a sci-fi game (well, speaking from a sci-fi nerd). And the plot is thrilling! It is certainly not predictable and that’s why I like it
Not to mention the existence of Victor. I always have a thing for the silver fox, so ;P. And there is the delightful reverse of position in the end
And a suggested approach (?) from a scientist/engineer background:

Summary

Since I have a low authority percentage, he is not happy with me. Just talk to him, be polite, but you don’t need to follow his advice. In fact being polite throughout the journey will help keep the stats.
You can listen to him and refuse to save the merchant ship or ignore the nova people. I meet nova guys though, because of supplies. (and it turned out… well, not what I imagined)
Be calm, lie a few times, and in the end you will find certain skills to be useful :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
Then it is to invite him to dinner. Choose the comfortable restraunt and tell him it is to avoid spies. Then just talk business.
You can deal with Brogan in however the way you like. Actually I wanted romance him but he is not romanceable… (this is a sapiosexual speaking lol) but try to tone down when the situation escalates. So, go back to being calm.
Then I got an excellent score in TPES(idk how?), pulled the ambush off(it helps a great deal), and studied the cargo with Brogan. Oh and I think I might lied to Dylan and Victor about the issue of returning him to his mother. I talked about spilt the reward but then assured Dylan that I was lying. Then I convinced the Nova people to back down and got a favour from Dylan’s mother(Dylan ran, though!). I did not know that I could be a governor then, so I just asked for a shop.
Then the talk in the office happened and I thought I would just be a influence on the power, but other options such as working for DRT do not appeal to me. So I just be the governor. Asked Victor to be my assistance and I got my scene

Haha… funny thing was i manage to convince Victor not to protect the cargo and let me destroy them… i think i can even ask him to open the box for me . ^^

I am not sure how bad was i in victor’s report to De Rege , but Dylan / Aureliono was super protective of me when meeting his mother , but i love the scene when the De Rege chairwoman think i exceeds her espectatation with merit , even when i was the one destroy her cargo and give me a favour for saving the station… well to be honest, i did persuade Dylan to use his authority to gain me the nanite information

I imagine it was all funny moment when Vìctor was super paranoia always, and i just gave him a pad and said " Just calm down and trust me… " , when all things settle, i just invite him for a celebration … cool ^^

Oh yeah… mine was super Leadership and Navigation skill , it was fun to help navigate my own ship with Eira and then tell everyone after that " See , i told you all no worry and trust me with everything… clear sail.all along " … Leadership and Navigation are most fun

So I made a tribute thing…

Setting and characters really got me in love. Writers that make their world feel so real and unique at the same time are my favorite kind. Respect to @FayI for a wonderful job (honorable mention also goes to the medical and sciencey stuff in here)! Thanks for the game.

Is there any way to convince Solib to keep the nanotech?

When you’re discussing with Katja? Yes! Each one tests the Solib qualities (Heroic or Aggressive etc).

Wait you gals made Nate? :astonished: Wow! Thanks so much for that.
Well even now you sure do know how to write cute and adorable male ro’s especially Rosario and Aureliano Dylan.

Nathaniel does remain close to my heart! Certainly laid the groundwork for being so into reading and writing romances in CoG :relaxed:

I’m in the middle of my first playthrough and I would like to know if there’s a guide out there that maps the choices and the endings? I want to play the game more than once and I just wondered if there was anything of this sort I could use.
Anyways, I love this game so much, and I’m already obsessed! I’m currently romancing Oscar, and I plan on pursuing Dylan and Shiori in the future (my babies xx)
The writing is amazing btw~ good job!!
