How about fir divines they are split into small groups and they are faced with a challenege/simulation and the teams that succeed are accepted as a whole and the teams who fail are rejected

Mare youāre going to lose with so few recruits. Who would even want to fight for you to start with if only one will get that far? Plus youād end up having to worry about revolts within your own clan. I mean how many of your recruits would want you dead after such an event?
Mare we can easily fix that kidnap 50-100 (or how many you want) kids at a time and train them for a year. If they accidentally survive (or smart enough to play dead) heal them they can try again next year.
And then for the ones that win send them to woods and have them live there for a year with harsh training.(when they are adults) rest of time spent educating and training

So in ten to twelve years time while the war is going on youāll be raising an army of a hundred out of them maybe half will survive then cut that number down again by the people youāll have them kill in the finals and you have maybe 30 to 40 well trained assassins to add to your group of maybe two if youāre both working together. Reason why youād only have yourself and Mare is because absolutely everyone in umbra would want to be in charge because theyāll think theyāre the best. So youād have your own war inside of umbra.

Hey as long as I have more people on my side Iām fine regardless of their motives.
And Iām a nuetral/charmer Hashinshin but I took a second to go back to Umbra.
Iām still considering that, running ones own clan, they wonāt be doing normal contracts of course, but I guess you can say they will be doing premium missions. Amongst missions involving going to other realms where a whole new way of life rest. New abilities completely different wars, itās in your codex Iām sure, the realm in describing that is. Shouldnāt be too difficult coding that part since I have hundreds of thousands of words for the storyline done already, just need to grammercheck itā¦
But to answer your question yes sages do assassinate, canāt have all that skill go to waste. After all you are assassins not highly skilled Liberians. Was picturing elderly mages there for a secā¦
