Maybe a practical use for magic would be creating little pocket dimensions where you can trap your target in and slowly (and painfully) kill him but it would be as if no time had passed in real life
or maybe just creating a space where you are guaranteed to be able to go one on one with no outside interference
oh and sound muffling spell ooh ooh and levitation and poison clouds *drools* and manipulating memories and conjuring weapons and and and … I’m losing control
oh ya and a spell to make them lose control and go insane and one to make them spill the beans (both metaphorical and actual beans)

Arcania that’s about it the empire saw the Assassins as a possible threat and so put in plans a sort of order 66 ya know so they saw that there were people brave enough and crazy enough to fight back and began training the remnants to become the predators of the Assassins thus spawning the guardians
If our rebellion gets a codex it should be called the sage killer codex or guardian codex

I would like for there to be a option to join the guardian’s Or possibly rebel against the order or if you became a guardian already overthrow the empire with coup de grace

I’m lurking around. And yes a current day joining guardians or uprising against the assassins would be sweet. And it doesn’t have to be right now

Yesh. Go with what Maj has put out there. The lore behind the arrow is that after countless years of planning two young assassins had finally decided to overthrow the order and to do that they had to kill the sage. But having almost no way to kill him one of them began devising a weapon to weaken him. After three years of research one of the young men gave up his very soul to complete it and make it powerful enough to bring a sage down. Once the arrow was complete the man collapsed and died on the spot leaving the task of killing the sage and bringing an end of the regime to the other man. (I died Maj is the one who lived)
Wouldn’t it be better as a bow since you’d have to get the arrow back?
A bow wouldn’t do anything.it would only be useful if I hit him with it. It doesn’t enchant the arrows you shoot. Otherwise you could technically make hundreds upon hundreds by simply touching quivers of arrows with it.

A year later Mayhjeen Asarien the man who survived began his coup , he riled up the dividend who he knew we’re more liberal and freedom loving and began to whisper of rebellion to them gaining a small contingent of followers who were his foothold . He then spread to some of the umbras nut because of there undying unshakable loyalty they turned him away and spread word to the Grand sage of his rebellion what they didn’t know off was the mighty arrows of binding infused with Razeal’s soul essence that would bind the sage.
The grand sage began a hunt for mayhjeen and put a large bounty on his head Assassins from all over streamed towards him and thus the empire learned of this rebellious young assassin . The Assassins who came to kill him always dissapeared without a trace eliminated . This continued until the Grand sage himself challenged Mayhjeen to a Assassin duel no rules in a neutral area. Mayhjeen came with his group of followers trailing behind him and met the Grand sage. the master assassin over whelmed him in battle countering his every move until finally Mayhjeen fired the arrow and struck the great sage, as all of his followers rushed to hack The sage to pieces arrows streamed down from the woods the rebels had been set up and ambushed and soon massacred . However a small group including Mayhjeen survived and were picked up by the empire , the king believed that the Assassins were a threat to his family and so transformed the rebels into the guardian’s, the hunters of hunters thus began the guardian’s.
Good…avenge me Maj…don’t let my sacrifice and the sacrifices of our fellow rebels be in vain…
