Are there any issues with loading game saves from outdated versions?

Lets say that i played a game long ago (hosted games) and at the end of the game i saved it with my email so i can load it into the second game when comes out. So my question is if i saved it back then but the first game was updated a couple of times and it’s now in a newer version will it still load into the second book?.. That probably didn’t make sense sorry. So if i saved my game in a older version but now there’s a newer version will i have to start over again and save it again or will my old save load into book two?

Still not sure that made sense :frowning:

I’m not certain, but I think that so long as the updates didn’t add any new stats or flags that are crucial to subsequent games, then there should be no issue with loading games from previous versions. That said, I haven’t heard of any authors doing such a thing, so there should be nothing to worry about.

Ah! Well in that case I can assure that there should be no issue with loading save games. The updates didn’t do anything to change stats or add flags, and all the stats that are introduced in Book Two were not retroactively introduced to Book One, so you should have absolutely no issue with loading your saves and playing through Book Two when it is released.

If it’s alright with you, I’m going to close the topic unless you have anymore questions on the subject?
