An Unexpectedly Green Journey (orc life-simulator) [1.5+ Million Words] POST-RELEASE DISCUSSION- NEW! Speculative poll for focus of new DLC

I can’t remember what the game states at the end. A successful Green Emperor (seeing it through to the very end after defeating the cyclops invasion) places the Green Emperor at Krog’s side. The Green Emperor is worshipped by the orcs in present-day Behatland (Arbit). In the afterlife feasts, where proximity to Krog matters, the Green Emperor is closest. The green comet is another great orc (the one who made either the worms or the helmet, which might help defeat the cyclopes). Orcon is said to have been the smartest and oldest (before he died) of all orcs.

I might go into more detail about this at some point.

Yes! We start off feeble but, at a certain point, push back all frailty. We become a perversion of natural law as our abyssal powers thicken in our veins. Mere age ceases to be a concern as the Dark Powers recognise our usefulness.

Speaking of are the cyclops still around or did the green emperor bring them to extinction. Also does the green emperors tribe still exist or have they been lost to time

The orcs have moved on from tribal society here, at least mostly. They are a nation now, though the remnants of some tribes remain in gangs and parts of the army. Orcs are still tribal in instinct and often form close-knit bonds with groups, though these are mostly unrelated to historical tribes. The Dust Clan became diffused through the hierarchy during the times of the Empire.

As for cyclopes- some persisted. During the first century of the Empire, adventurers and army patrols sometimes encountered stray cyclopes hidden in the dark places of the continent. Still ferocious, but alone, the beasts would die much like anything else, though they often took many with them. The shattering of their great army more or less muted their domination powers.

But not every single cyclops was killed. One can be found in A Shriek of Ash and Fire.

So the cyclops still remember the green emperor orare none still alive from that time. I don’t know the live spane of the cyclops

They don’t really have memory, although they have a collective awareness. What they do have is an, almost mindless, instinct to dominate and consume. They feel no glory, sadness or regret. They are a failed creation of Korg, which he improved upon with orcs. No one has ever seen a cyclops dying of old age. They live a long, long time. I’m not even sure… One day I will have to decide. The cyclops in A Shriek of Ash and Fire, Book 1, was around during the time of the Green Empire but far, far removed.

So this cyclops did fight in the great battle and didn’t see the green emperor

Krog really, really fucked up with whatever the hell he was trying with those things, the contrast is genuinely really funny

Nope, this one was left behind. A very old, very large one

Most of Ash and Fire, Book 1, takes place in Zthullu, from where the Cyclopes invaded. Although our Green Emperor virtually wiped them all out.

@Sujan_Dhakal

Haha. Krog made a very OP build (unless you become the Great Shaman, when these things can be dealt with somewhat more easily) that was functionally no fun to play around with. Goblins reckon that Krog perfected his creator skills when he made them, but they don’t tell orcs this. We must face it; Krog is not the smartest of deities.

Is their a cyclops around that was in the great battle

Good question. I would have to say no. Behatland is now thoroughly explored, and any remnants would have been killed off in the last millennium.

Although, in an alternate universe, if you become the Great Green Shaman, cyclopes might have a better future.

Is their any living being be it creature, mortal or so forth that was around during the green emperor. And is still around today

Yes, full-blooded elves are effectively immortal and the most ancient of races. They do not age, though they can die from harmful acts. The very oldest have seen their great forest and the elven claim to prominence continuously decline since they encountered other races. However, they have no issue with halflings.

I cannot go into too much detail about their history as it is on Patreon, behind a fee tier, but I think some of it is readable in the lore pages in A Shriek of Ash and Fire. Eventually, all the collected lore will be freely available. Maybe even as a free DLC- depending on Hosted Games’ rules.

I just realised how powerful we are as a demon lord

Does any of those evles remember the time of the green emperor. I’m sure they would have a good story of that time since they would have lived it

Great! I knew you would reign over a world of fire and corpses in the end!

The Dark Lord riseth!

@Parker_Barr

Yes, for sure. Though I haven’t made any events canon here. The elves would have suffered under the Green Empire, but some Green Emperors may have dealt with them peacefully. Whatever the case, many would remember.

However, elves view the affairs of the shorter-lived mortals with less interest. Fighting over tracts of land and resources is seen as a rather unwise occupation of adolescent races. Of course, the more individualistic elves would put their own slant on things, and some may indeed spread stories. But the oldest elves have seen multitudes of tribes, petty kingdoms, nascent states, and nations rise and fall. And they always do fall. Elves are not as impressed by such things. Their patience wins over any empire.

On a note, in the modern age, the elves of Vovedolu, most of them not being full-blooded ancient elves, have turned their backs on elven tradition. Hardly any of this lot will have been around during those times.

What does the green emperor think of the orcs in the modern age

By now, he’s probably gotten over how some orcs lost a big old continent and ended up, somehow, with a rock. He would be proud that the gits have managed to keep a country around Krog’s Rock. He wouldn’t be too keen on all the shooters, trains and factories. I mean, that’s all a bit beardy, something a dwarf would do.

Yep, this new lot isn’t as tough as his lot. Been fed a bit too well and got their grub a bit too easily for a bit too long. But lots of these gits are big and tough. They’re still mean. They just need someone to give them a big kick up the green backside!

Do you think their will be another green emperor. Like another orc to rise and make a empire like in ancient past

My plans for Book 2 of Ash and Fire are not firm yet. It is possible that the orcs will have another moment of glory, though not on the scale of the Green Emperor. Our MC, if he gains an alliance with the orcs, may be able to empower them to some degree.

In the third mainline game, working title Saga of the Void Armadas, we will see the races of Behatland dispersed amongst the stars. I can imagine many orc warlords claiming the title of Green Emperor, lording it over a single world, several planets or even a few planetary systems. These empires will vary in degrees of actual power. Most will last a few generations at most.

The Green Emperor was an exceptional orc, forever remembered as the greatest among them.
