Lol yes to the boy thing no to the father thing. I guess it’s you look more like a woman than if you choose to look like your mom. Does that make sense?? I chose that picture cuz the others were too… bra and panty like???
As in taking on the fathers looks makes you physically mature quicker early on, potentially more than most.

Well I’m just glad the looking like our “dad” option gets the mc a nice masculine frame, particularly since I’ve had to suffer through the other one in real life and never found it much fun to be perceived as cute (and childlike, instead of cute like movie star guys), “delicate” and “pretty” (read effeminate).

Was sorta friends with 2 effeminate guys back in high school. When they got pissed off they kinda would just stare at the person responsible and slightly smile. Usually the prelude to them wreaking someone with only what I could describe as judo. They were scary when they stared at people…and were brothers.
New teachers mistook them for women occasionally.

So if I play as a girl, I’ll be feminine no matter what I choose. But if I play as a boy I can choose to be masculine or feminine?

I was hoping that the other girl mc option would be more like Rinkah from fire emblem fates or something. Muscular like the option for the guy mc (muscular female mc is always 
) but w/o removing your idea of wanting a more mature body type

Perhaps, and I know it is more work, you might consider adding in a third body type, seeing as there are people who would like a more tomboyish look for the female MC. Also, I find it odd that the female MC who takes after her father is more voluptuous than the one who takes after her mother.
My suggestion: Keep the mother’s version the same for the son and daughter. Keep the father’s son the same but change the daughter version to be more of a tomboy. Add a third option—an even mix of the two parents. Move the father’s daughter voluptuous version to that and then add in another version for the son…maybe a boy-next-door type since you’ve already gotten the male Adonis thing going on.
For in text reference, and I’m not sure how our body types will be utilized in story, but if the character’s remark something like, “He takes after his mother—just look at him!” or “She’s definitely her father’s daughter. You can see it plain as day.”
For the mix, maybe something like “I’m not sure who he/she takes after. I can see both the mother and father in him/her.” or “What do you mean he/she looks like their mother?! He/She obviously looks like the father, idiot.”

You can be a tomboy with the right outfit and haircut lol. It’s more looking mature than feminine.
That would work if you choose to look like your mom, pick having short hair, and wearing the plain Jane outfit. So you can be a tomboy lol but people will still notice how pretty you are.
The father option has some muscle compared to the mother option like rinkah except they won’t have a six pack like her lol.

Hmmmmmm Maybe I will make a 3rd option where your MCs appearance didn’t change and you look exactly the same as before you unlock your powers? Hmmmm yah and the reason is because you didn’t use magic for so long it became permanent. I shall think this over.
Yah but tomboy is a style and personality though? You can just dress your character like a tomboy and choose the personality you think is best. My tomboy friends told me it’s a style and personality not a physical body thing lol.

Very true. Tomboy is more about style and personality than the body. My little sister was a tomboy when she was young. Bouncing curly hair and always wearing jeans and t-shirts… Always been a bit mature looking for her age. Plus she would try to bite anyone who suggested a skirt or dress(Not saying all tomboys are like this… I blame the fact she acts like a shark from Jaws.). Lol. She was rough and tumble girl. Still is, but now she dresses a tad more feminine due to growing up.

I haven’t been in this thread much. I often just lurk occasionally, but can I ask why our appearance would change when we get powers? Was that answered before or is it too spoilery?

No it’s not spoilery lol. So the MC finds out they are a witch at the age of 16. Witches need to use magic like how people need to breathe. Since the MC didn’t know they were a witch their magic built up inside of them and your body needed to find other ways to let the access magic out by pimples, sweat, grease hair. And this had negative affects on your body giving you sore muscles and bones, mind pulsing migraines every day of your life, poor eyesight that needs giant glasses to fix.
But after you use your magic for the first time your body sighed with relief and your appearance changed to how you were meant to look all along if you hadn’t built up magic.

Ugh, but the mc’s old appearance is absolutely horrid and screams “bully magnet” doesn’t it?
Hmmmm…that should mean though that even if the change isn’t radical once the mc starts using magic they should finally be able to influence their appearance, even if on the third path they’d need to do it the hard way. But without the excess magic keeping it in its horrid condition things like acne medication and treatments should finally start to work and eating the right diet combined with slowly starting to work out should begin to work and finally help the mc gain control of their body the slow and painful way.
At a later stage operations could remove the excess skin folds from successfully losing weight and getting into a better shape and the eyes may also improve a little bit through diet and exercise beginning to work and the remainder may finally become amenable to corrective surgery too.
Compared to the other options it might mean that their magic no longer (subconsciously) affects their physical form at all. It might even render them impervious to shape changing magic.
The (non-magical) benefit would have to be that you could gradually shape your mc’s body into whatever you want, or at least into a wider range of options than with the other two options where presumably the magic helps maintain the mc’s body in either adonis or effeminate shape with little work on their part.
In short if there isn’t ultimately some benefit, even if it comes slow and is hard-won with the third and originally by far the worst of the body shapes, then why would anybody choose it?

honestly think that @OracleD3 has the right idea most people i know who play Choose Your Own Adventure games do so for a few reasons one of the most common ones is escapism simply put some people do not want to deal with being judged for being overweight or have to wear glasses or have a mental condition or number of things that people may no want to deal with in a game and to force them to into that is kinda well dickish in my opinion but i do see where you are coming from but i do not think it is right for this game
